Helvadere in Croydon

Food is mediocre but the restaurant is a good vibe. Very disappointing experience as I pre-ordered a birthday dessert surprise almost 24h in advance and again verbally communicated this to the server at the restaurant who put it on my tab only for another server to then tell me a couple of hours later that they had ran out of baklava. I was even almost charged for it despite not being given it. I was infuriated as I had gone out my way to ensure the baklava was ready. The whole reason I chose Helvadere as the venue was because of the birthday surprise that they do. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

Well, it was such a pleasant dinning experience that I had in Croydon. Ambience and the staffs were truly amazing. Outstanding arrangements for Friday & Saturday eve (recommended). Menu was perfectly structured for middle east cuisine. Just loved it and there's always a room for improvement (left a star for next time). Cheers to the whole team!!

Amazing food and friendly staff to the start to finish. The decoration is so beautiful! Cocktails, lamb burgers, and deserts are delicious. We are always going with our 2 years old girl, and they treat us so warm, like we are at home.

Great music, good vibes beautiful decor and ambiance. I would definitely recommend the hummus lamb kavurma. The amaretto sour was absolutely lovely!! Come and visit with your friends and family.

This place is 10/10 Service: I don't know what it is recently but a lot of restaurants have a lack of customer service, but here is amazing. As soon as you walk in the staff are friendly and tentative. You are not waiting to be served there is always someone around if you need anything. Food: We had the Hummus Lamb Kavurma it is an absolute must. In my opinion the best I have had, second best is La Moda in New Malden. Then we had mix grill combo for two with bulgar and white rice. Another must have. There were so many star players in this dish, but the but the top 3 the grilled vegetables 🤤, the chicken wings and lamb pieces, and white rice ( okay that is 4). Also the garlic sauce is also *chef's kiss* Dessert: Sticky Toffee Pudding ❤️ that is all I have to say Shisha: The shisha was good Frozen Lychee and Blueberry was 7/10. The African Queen was 2/10 The service for the lounge 10/10 Parking is limited but there are spaces which are a 5 minutes walk away Overall: Highly recommend.

Every time welcome helvadere, Karim is just amazing. He always makes us feel super welcome and takes care of everything we need. The vibe is chill, perfect for hanging out and having a good time. Plus, the sisha is on point! If you’re looking for a laid-back spot, definitely come here. Karim really makes the experience special!

I’ve been many times to Helvadere and I love it here! Service is great, all the staff are amazing, especially Karim! Food is great, delicious and of very good quality! Kunefe is a must, so make room for it with some Turkish tea. The restaurant is very nice and the garden is even better, heated in winter and open in summer, so you can enjoy their amazing shisha all year round. 100% recommended

Me and my husband came out for a nice meal and we loved our time here. We ordered 2 starters, the three burger sliders and spicy chicken strips. For our mains we opted for the rib eye steak and chicken shish + donner. For dessert we grabbed the kunafa which came with ice cream. Lastly we had a shisha the frozen blueberry and love 68 one. Everything was amazing. The service was 10/10. The atmosphere was also amazing for a late night dine. Would definitely recommend and come back again.

Went there for the first time for sisters surprise birthday, loved it, the food was outstanding, can't wait to go back.

First time coming here and I must say it’s one of the best restaurants I’ve ever ate in I can’t believe I’ve only just found this place. Very nice staff and the food is lovely. Also the cocktail I ordered was lovely you can taste the alcohol in it and every sip i took there was a different taste i highly recommend this place.

Went to this restaurant for the first time yesterday with a group of eight, and honestly, I can’t fault a single thing. From start to finish, it was just spot on. The service? Amazing. The vibe? Perfect. And the FOOOOD—wow! Portions were generous, food was super fresh, and everything came out quickly. Every single one of us loved it; so much flavor and just insanely good. Can’t wait to go back!

Me and my wife went for a midweek dinner. Was pleasantly happy with what I had chosen, the Koz burger was massive with 2 beef patties plus chicken and with sweet potato fries on the side. Wife had the chicken shish rice. Shared the Kunefe pudding. Everything that we ordered was cooked perfectly, tasted fresh and well presented. Will most likely go again , definitely would recommend if you fancy a moden Turkish twist with an American influence.

Lovely to be there with family and friends. Luckily found available table for 10 walk ins and everyone enjoyed every second spend there. We will return for sure. I haven't tried this time the shisha, but is a must for my next visit. We will come back for sure and most probably in a bigger group. The staff was amazing and very attentive, making us to feel welcomed.

Once again a 10/10 experience at Helvadere, the cocktails are always amazing, nice and strong! The food always delicious! Twilight prawns are the best (Please don't ever remove these from the menu!) The grilled meats were perfectly made, fresh and tasty! Also the best service from the staff as usual, especially Kareem! Made sure everything was as we liked and was very attentive.
