Ayat Kitchen Lounge in Croydon

My family had the venue for a birthday party and the service was impeccable! It was a special occasion and it could not have been better accommodated. The staff were incredibly helpful and respectful, they were also super friendly! It really made the night special. Plus the food was lovely, especially the chicken wings. Definitely recommend this place

Absolutely delicious food, fantastic service and a great aesthetic. The restaurant is so clean and the wait staff didn’t even need to note our orders. I honestly can’t wait to return.

Stumbled upon Ayat having literally just moved to the area. Instantly impressed with the warm greeting, service and food. Will certainly be returning.

What a lovely experience. Father’s Day, so very busy, and a little wait, but not an issue as it was lovely chatting and not feeling rushed. Food was delicious, fresh, plentiful. Service was friendly, fun and faultless and we were very impressed when the bill came; extremely good value. We had a lovely time. Thank you Sam.

BLOWN AWAY! We came for Father’s Day as a group of six. The restaurant was very busy (yay) so we had a little bit of a wait for drinks and food, although we did order a lot. The food was PHENOMENAL, everything tasted so authentic and homemade. Great presentation too. Recommend the prawns, fatoush, mousaka, Sujuk, mixed shawarma plate, mixed pickles and Turkish rice. Calamari didn’t taste super fresh but we had plenty of other excellent dishes on the table that it wasn’t a problem. Service is excellent, Sam who appears to be the owner is a wonderful character. He very kindly made the side dishes big enough for six to avoid ordering multiple of the same thing. He knocked about 4 things off our bill for no reason! We estimated the bill to be about £170 (we really did order a lot) we were shocked when the bill out to £121 (without service) we added an extra £18 for tip. Honestly if the bill had been £170 we wouldn’t have been disappointed. Please get down to this restaurant and give it a try. We cannot wait to go back!

At the beginning of this year, I spotted some delectable breakfasts at AYAT but the serving hours were from 8am to 1pm which is impossible and at their loss. Anyway, I happened to be around that area around 11am so I thought I'd pay them a visit but I wasn't sure to be happy or sad because they now serve breakfast until 4pm so we could have delayed our visit and went elsewhere to try something. Similarly with the fish bar opposite, they've had change the menu to adapt which you could clearly see it coming. As planned had the AYAT special breakfast which comes with foul mudamass, halloumi, eggs, baba ganoush, falafel, hummus, fruit, flatbread and olives. For £9.99, it was really good for that Mediterranean style breakfast especially the foul mudammas which was a really tasty stew of fava beans with cumin, parsley and lemon!

Really lovely service, and great food to match. We had a cold meze to start, wonderful food, Moutabbal dip was stunning and a favourite of mine, also tzatziki and a delicious Greek salad with flat bread. Great size portions. Followed by Chicken Shish with another huge salad and saffron rice. Forgot to take a picture before we ate it. Great mint tea, served in a beautiful teapot. We will return.💕

I attended here today with my family and my daughters godparents following her Baptism at the Church . I felt really looked after and the food was absolutely delicious, I had the mixed shawarma platter ( I think its spelt correctly) it was lovely oh and I had a strawberry mojito. The waiter was very attentive and we didn't wait long at all for our food I love the ambience here and the setting of the restaurant makes you feel like your away from Croydon!, if your looking for somewhere to have your celebration meal for an occasion or just a meal for a chit chat with friends/family I would really recommend you come here.. they have kids favourites too because we all know kids can be fussy eaters! , The staff always great us when we attend and make recommendations on the menu. Their tea is amazing! Honestly I could go just for that.. I cant compliment this venue enough. Sheer class on another level altogether! You won't be disappointed, such good value for money. I love it here .. the vibe is really nice the staff always look after us and the food is just so tasty so fresh .. I wouldn't choose anywhere else.. My kids love it here too!, highly recommended. Recommended by a lady in a hotel nearby, I decided to give it a go. Food was delicious and the portions were very big. Nice variety of cakes but I missed some Mediterranean desserts. Customer service is not the best, but the quality of the food and the environment made up for it. I tried the lamb chops, also recommended by the same lady and I am not disappointed, the taste is very nice and it comes with rice and salad. I will be back and try more things next time.

Last night we visited Ayat ... as usual the service was absolutely off the scale the staff really looked after us. Laurent Nuissier was so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. We were celebrating my mother's 60th and my partners 40th together.. the food was cooked to perfection and the vibe was so nice .. all my guests really enjoyed themselves. I I'm a regular customer here cant recommended it enough... Best restaurant by far, service the food all good as always.
