Another great meal; starter, main meal, dessert and wine £40 ahead. It's so nice to have swordfish as an option.

Such a lovely bright and welcoming place to eat. Staff were lovely, we pre booked a table as we went as a group. Quick service and scrumptious food. The menu was quite extensive but what we all finally chose -went down well. Will defo return ☺

The food was good as usual. The Sucuk starter was lovely especially the salad. Although I keep forgetting to ask them to hold the olives. The main course, blue and orange chicken was delicious. Although the generous portion defeated me. Tiramisu desert was lovely.

I have been here every other weekend for the last 12 years (when Crystal Palace play) and the B&O never disappoints. The quality, taste, portion sizes and service are all top class. Best restaurant in the area by a mile and i usually spend most of my week looking forward to my meal. Borek & a mixed grill.. you can never go wrong. Hats off to Sam and his team for running such a consistently good operation.

I visited with friends. They were very friendly and attention to details because of my allergies . The food was first class as was the atmosphere. I cant think of anything that could be improved except I am afraid in the area!!

Menu no longer has my deep fried brie with cranberry sauce 😕 but the other starters were tasty. Had the warm chicken salad for main and a massive portion couldn't finish it but wanted to. The cocktails also delicious 😋. Going tonight for the 2nd time this month. 5* service.

I've been going there since the restaurant opened, and the food has always been amazing. I love the atmosphere there, plus the service has always been outstanding. I would definitely recommend trying this place as you will not be disappointed. If you enjoy spicy food, you need to try their homemade chilli sauce. It's out of this world

My family and I have been frequenting this restaurant for a number of years now and not even a house move (15 miles) hasn't stopped us from making the trip down as the staff are always welcoming and attentive.

This is 100% the best restaurant in the area, the food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is amazing. We went with our baby and the ladies went above and beyond for us, we felt right at home. The prices are very fair. I recommend this place to everyone.

Only frequented this place 3 times but each time the food has been excellent so will be looking to visit more often in the future. This time I had the Char-Grilled Lamb Shish & why wife had the Stuffed Roasted Aubergine. The lamb was beautifully cooked & full of flavour as did my wife's dish. Add to that the refreshing Efes beer. This place is a little gem in Thornton Heath for which friendly & professional staff should be proud. Latest visit on 28th May 2023. We've frequented this place many times since my original post. The Lamb Shish continues to be mine & my wife's choice of meal along with lovely malty Efes beer Staff continue to be friendly & professional as always. We'll be back again next football season.

This is without question the best restaurant within miles of Selhurst Park/Thornton Heath. The food is excellent and the staff efficient, friendly and welcoming. Plenty of parking available immediately behind the restaurant. My family all love this place.

Myself and my daughter are regular patreons of the Blue and Orange. However we were both quite I’ll after dining there in January. I can only assume why this happened to us is because the food had been contaminated! We suspect that it was the pitta bread as it tasted a bit stale or the chicken and lamb were unclean by that I mean unwashed or infected!

This is an old favourite 😍 Customer Service on point. The Mai Tai 🍹is the best I have had for a long time. Starters Chicken wings Liver Prawns shell on 🦐 Prawns shell off 🍤 Absolutely delicious My main Mixed grill with mashed potatoes 🥔 Gorgeous Left absolutely full having to take more than half of my main home 😋 I would definitely recommend this restaurant

This restaurant was recommended to my brother. When we arrive around 7pm there wasn’t a lot of people, by 7.45 the restaurant was almost full to capacity. The menu and meal we ordered was absolutely delicious. We will visit again and we will be recommending this restaurant to our families and friends. The atmosphere was amazing. The staff accommodating and friendly.Thank you all for an amazing meal and evening.

Went there while london was in tier2, and pleased we did. Lovely and clean. All the staff wearing face masks and place was spaced out well. Food was tasty. Chilli sauce wasn't hot (but they never are, are they?! :-) But was a lovely night out! Food was good, tasty and good portions. Served quickly and staff attentive. Pleased to see they are still around and hopefully Covid doesn't ruin it for them.

This is truly the best place to eat a mediterranean meal in the local area. Always a hit. The calamari was made to perfection. My mixed grill had all the key elements for success a tasty lamb chop succulent chicken and tender lamb pieces. The waiting staff always go out off their way to assist and the drinks blended well...

Good was excellent. Staff are attentive and fun. The atmosphere in the restaurant was friendly. I ordered the blue and orange chicken which was delicious. Starter we had hummous and I've got to say it's the best I've had, so smooth and tasty and not grainy like some places. Others had lamb with mash and commented that the mash was gorgeous. Everyone has a great time and there was no feeling to have to rush. The restaurant allowed us to put birthday banners up and balloons which was kind of them.

It is a good restaurant with long selection of halal and haram food with full alcoholic bar. A British Turkish man owns this restaurant in this part of Croydon without any competitors around. For sure the halal food are delicious.

Turkish restaurant was excellent in food and service. Small place but the food is fresh and served hot. Local people support it the restaurant very well on a regular bases, very impressive.

Good varied menu.. Apparently busy all the time so can only be a good thing for Thornton Heath with it not being a chicken shop or betting shop.. Had pasta which at £13.95 was pricey, was good sized portion but of average quality

Having not been to Blue and Orange for many years, a friend and I decided on it for lunch last Friday. It looks exactly the same inside as it did all those years ago and it did feel a bit dark and dated. However, the food was very good and portions were generous. Our tiramisu dessert was delicious ! Our waitress was friendly, welcoming and very efficient. I don't know what it's like other days but on Friday lunchtime it was very busy. There is a council car park near the back of the restaurant and numerous buses go by. Thornton Heath railway station is in walking distance.

This is the place where you are served exactly what you order. I felt like having a really hot pizza and I got it - a flavoursome dish with up to 12 slices of jalapeno on one segment (there were 4 of them as it was a small pizza). I washed it down with a nice shandy and was absolutely happy having lunch with my friends. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Rather an old fashioned restaurant with too many knick knacks that could be potential dust collectors, that together with a dark yellow decor, created an oppressive atmosphere. However, the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The menu is extensive (probably too many dishes). As a party of nine we all chose different options. All dishes (starter and main) had generous portions, well presented and very tasty. Tap water is available but only per individual glass, a small but appreciated customer service, would be to offer jugs of tap water, for the whole table. It is a restaurant worth considering, especially as it the only one in the area. We will certainly be returning,

We attended this restaurant on a weekday. During the course of our visit, there were never more than 10 diners in the restaurant. We ordered lamb cutlets [£ 14.95]; and a mixed kebab [ £ 15.95] The food came plated and looked very UNAPPETIZING. The meat was of a poor quality.I think that their menu is too large. [Always a sign of unoriginal food preparation.] With over 20 main courses PLUS at least 10 ‘Specials’. With one glass of wine and soft drinks, the bill came to £ 50.00. Very poor and we would not eat here again.

This is such a cute restaurant! Small, quaint and full of traditional items to look it. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They have an extensive menu with a range of Mediterranean dishes and a handful of other cuisines i.e. pizza, burger... the price range is approximately £12-£20 give or take. The presentation of the food was great and it was quite tasty. Definitely will return. Make reservations for larger parties particularly weekend afternoons (not sure about weekdays).

The food here is really good, tasty with fresh ingredients and beautifully cooked. The service was excellent. I came here with a large group, just prior to Christmas and although the restaurant was full, our whole party all got exactly what we ordered with no delays, including drinks. The service was relaxed and friendly. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere.

Lovely food and good selection. I had the salmon and it was very nicely cooked, also asked to change a couple of items on the dish and they we're happy to do so.

I have been using this restaurant on and off for many years and having been eating from there at least once a week over the past several months especially since discovering a take out service, it is a firm favourite of my children.However the last 10 times I have ordered a takeaway I have been given the incorrect salad 8 of those times.Today I decided to call them as I felt this was unreasonable and having complained about it several times before and still accepted and paid for the incorrect item this many times I decided to make a call immediately again!!, I was dealt with by the rudest and most inconsiderate person who decided that to compensate me by offering that he would give me a free salad the next time I ordered. I explained to him that it would not be a "Free" salad as I would just be receiving a item that I had already paid for, his response was well what do you want me to do. I advised perhaps as way of an apology he should offer a free dish considering the amount of times the mistake had happened. The man was very unsympathetic, and made it very clear he did not care about loyal customer service. I was so cross I drove the salad back to the restaurant and asked for my money back, where the man continued to advise me he did not think he was being unreasonable!!!!.So sad that he has lost mine and my families business now and being so angry about the matter I promptly came back and threw the bolognese in the bin that I had ordered with my GREEN!!!!, NOT greek, NOT mozzarella!!!, NOT side!!! salad in the bin as the whole experience left a very bitter taste.How unfortunate that businesses feel that it is acceptable to treat paying customers in this manner!!!....Sad times.

Have been a regular here since moving to the area a good few years ago. BlueAnd Orange never lets me down. Have tried a variety of special and meals on menu. My favourites starters are avocado and chicken salad or pan fried liver. My favourite mains are, grilled sea bass, the blue and orange chicken, the lamb chops, seafood spaghetti and the steak. Great gem of a restaurant in Thornton Heath. One of my son’s favourite place to go to for a mummy and son date! Definitely recommend!!!

My partner and I are here on a Sunday evening, it wasn’t very busy. Staff were friendly and attentive. It was incredibly quiet though and could do with some background music to enable some level of private conversation. We both ate a mixed kebab which was amazing and an absolutely huge portion, we had an Effes beer each and it was reasonably priced. The bathrooms are very clean. I’d go again and would recommend this place, it’s great!

I've always walked passed this restaurant and it always smelt so good and always so busy so thought I'd give it a go.Visited on a Monday evening around 615 and was not disappointed. We ordered the moussaka and the swordfish. Both dishes were great but the swordfish was exceptional. Lots on the menu that we wanted to try like the grilled seabass (looks amazing) and the stuffed aubergines and all the home baked Pizzas.We will definitely be returning. Do remember to book a table as this restaurant gets fairly busy every evening.

First impressions was a family run business. Service was great. Book in advance for your table! I would recommend the lamb cutlets with mash...yummmm! The paradise punch was moorish!

I ate here last night with my friend and between us we had the borek (feta and spinach parcels), garlic bread with cheese and Turkish sausage for starters. The borek was particularly delicious. We decided to both get the pan fried chicken in a mushroom sauce with chips for mains and then shared a homemade bread and butter pudding with custard. I don't even like bread and butter pudding but this one was lovely!It's also worth mentioning that the food came out quickly in between courses. The only problem was I ate far too much....I will however be back...I would highly recommend this restaurant not only for it's food but attentive and friendly staff.

My friend invited me for a dinner in this local restaurant last December. It had a very interesting decoration on the walls and ceiling. Apparently the owner was a Turkish immigrant. The food was excellent with good helpful staff.

This is a nice intimate cosy restaurant. I have been coming here by myself, with friends, with family for over ten years and I have never had a bad dish. My best dish is the lamb cutlets (my mouth is watering at the mere mention !!), however I have tried other dishes on the menu and they are top notch too.The service from the staff is exceptional and no ask is to much for them. I also order food which I pick up for takeaway (i don't think they have a delivery service yet - they should consider this).Again, best restaurant in Thornton Heath and really nothing like it since Picasso's restaurant closed down.

I went here 2 weeks ago with my friend, discovered the Mediterranean breakfast which was worth the visit. Great service and atmosphere, was lovely all the Mediterranean ambience. Would highly recommend.

Up to the usual standards, which my family has come to expect over the last 15 years, full marks for presentation, cleanliness, freshness, courtesy, every plate was emptied! I recommend the mixed kebab with their own chilli sauce, and their Tiramisu is amongst the best I've tasted

I visited this place on recommendation with friends. upon arriving I thought oh no cafe, cafe food oh well. How wrong was I.I entered and the place had a Mediterranean feel and decor. The staff were extremely welcoming and I felt welcomed.so many dishes to try my friends order many starters for me to try all I can say is I added more and was surprised every dish was amazing.I have not tasted food in a restaurant so authentic in years.I even left with a take away the food was so good.I now have recommended this place and will be going there for my birthday meal.

This was the second time I have been to this restaurant and I must say both times the food and ambience and staff were great I had lamb chops with mashed potatoe and tomatoes and it was great really enjoyed it my friends had fish and profiteroles and crumble which I tasted and they were great also considering it is in a food high street area it is a great find!!!!

We booked a table before going to see Crystal Palace play at home. The staff were helpful and friendly and service was prompt despite them being busy. Good and varied range of things to eat with a lovely mediterranean influence. Nothing fancy but good basic fare. Nice ambience. I'd certainly go back again.

6th family visit on 16th of Jan to this mediterranean / Italian restaurant. We were out celebrating a birthday. Recommend a reservation otherwise a long wait for a table. we ordered a couple of mocktails and fruit juice drinks all good. Starters and main meal served pretty quickly. Cannot fault the taste or the helping. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and will be going again soon. What are you waiting for?

No matter what time of say it is, if tou fancy a good old English breakie with all the trimmings...this is the place to be. Clean restaurant with a varied menu offering a wholesome hearty meal which wont cost rhe earth.

I have been to this restaurant on many occasions and not had a bad meal the service is good very good value for money and a nice atmosphere The only two things I would say are need to change their menu as I've been through it and only had their Sunday dinner once and it was not their speciality however the food comes out hot and you never wait long perfect for groups or couples Also breakfast is a must

I have been to this. Restaurant twice . And on both times I would have to say if you want to go for dinner at the weekend it's best that you book in advance. Food are big portions so starter and main is very filling. Never had room for dessert. I can recommend the sea bass. It's a lovely little restaurant for a local location. Prices are reasonable. And staff friendly. I will definitely be going bad there soon.

Great little gem in the heart of Thornton Heath High St. This is my go to local restaurant for catchups with friends, lunch or dinner with family. Birthday or Anniversary celebrations.Food , atmosphere , waiters, price is just right.

This is a really lovely local restaurant. I've been here a few times now and it's always satisfied my taste buds. Good size portions too which is always a bonus. I like the chicken livers and the pork chops. I'm looking forward to trying more dishes. A cosy environment and great if you want a nice local get together with friends and family. Need more restaurants like this in Thornton Heath!

I have been going to this restaurant since my children were small and I can honestly say I have never had a meal I haven't enjoyed, from the combination Shish, chicken shish, blue and orange chicken, lamb cutlets mean and many more all lovely. If you want a nice ambiance this is the place, daytime or evening, just make sure you book for evening to avoid disappointment. They also do a varied amount of food to cater for most choices and a lovely roast dinner on a Sunday.

I was welcomed and show a table near to the window ,there was a friendly atmosphere the place looked clean the staff polite ,I ordered the Lamb burger a glass of fresh orange and water. when my order arrived besides the delicious burger which was laced with melting cheese there was a nice side salad a generous amount of French fries.all of which were quite satisfying ,I noticed on the table next to me that they had ordered Pizza and this looked delicious also .

I often ask people for their favorite restaurants in this restaurant kept on coming up, so I came and gave it a try. nicely decorated, very large diverse menu and comprehensive wine list. They have a lunch menu that goes to 6 PM! I had a simple starter of baked chicken wings which was a nice large portion that came with a salad. Very nicely presented only disappointment is they were a little underseasoned but then again I like spicy! Reasonably priced, fully air conditioned. Service was adequate although I came in a very quiet time of the day. One of the best restaurants in this area they could do well to have multiple locations. I'll be back.

I alway use to drive past this restaurant and wondered what it was like, one day me and a friend decided to give it a try. So glad we did. The food was amazing and well worth the money. Would totally recommend to anyone. It's a great place to eat. Will defiantly be going again

I visited for my nan's 82nd birthday! There were 27 of us. My nan must have got the numbers wrong but they were so accommodating to add additional chairs in the end of the table. They were efficient at taking our orders... Really looked after my nan and gave a great service. The food was lovely, good variety on the menu, generous starter and main portions. Accommodating to make changes to the meals. I had a lovely chicken and avocado salad but changed the feta cheese for halloumi, it seemed to be no problem at all.The steaks all came out cooked correctly. And everyone was eating at the same time.Very lovely little local restaurant. Can't fault it really. How they coped with my family, well, hats off to them!

Our 6th visit to this fabulous Mediterranean restaurant. Service is pretty fast and the food is brilliant. Can't go wrong for sure. The desserts are pretty good especially Tiramasu Tondo. Will be visiting again in a couple of months.

You never hear anyone say there's a great little restaurant in Thornton Heath but you better believe it as there is!!Been here a few times and it never fails to deliver. Food is fresh and the portions large. They can't do enough to serve you either. If you have ever been to Turkey you will know that their pizzas are amazing and Blue and Orange is no exception. Restaurant gets pretty busy Thursday, Friday's and Saturdays so make sure you book.

Lovely cosy little restaurant in Thornton Heath, a real asset to the local area. I would recommend the duck dish. Good portion size and very flavoursome.

Being using this restaurant since it opened and indeed used to frequent the owners previous restaurant on the other side of the street where the leisure center now stands.Over all these years have never had a bad meal or a bad experience in there (using about 10/12 times per year) and can highly recommend for light/casual dining. My lads love the pizzas in there whereas I generally go for the Chicken Shish which is fantastic.Please please keep it up and will be there again in a couple of weeks.
