Visited the Oken tea rooms today for lunch. What a lovely cosy atmosphere and greeted with a smile from Hannah the owner and her lovely staff. We sat downstairs and enjoyed an afternoon tea. Wow!!.. the sandwiches were delicious the fresh granary bread is amazing. I had coronation chicken and my wife had Hummus and caramelised onion chutney . Both were excellent... Fresh scones ditto. So many cakes to choose from you need to come back again and again just to try them all. I had the chocolate fudge cake which was delicious. A large choice of Loose leaf tea is on offer here which is great, and you can even buy some to take away afterwards. We were well looked after as was everyone around us . If you are in Warwick it's well worth a visit. Plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs

My second visit to the tea rooms since it’s been under new ownership. Hannah and her team are magnificent! Today we enjoyed an afternoon tea, beautiful fresh sandwiches - with the option of white or granary bread - delicious. A side of salad and crisps too. We chose egg and then ham and salad with a side of chutney. Warm fresh scones with raspberry jam and cream and a choice of cake from the selection on offer. Such a lovely welcome on arrival, we sat downstairs today - shown to our table and didn’t have to wait long to place our order. Tea and Prosecco arrived and then our food. All delivered to the table with a smile. Can’t wait to visit again. Thanks Hannah and her team.

Dropped into the tea house for a late lunch after walking around for hours discovering Warwick. Just what we needed. Staff were lovely. The food was delicious but light. We enjoyed sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, cake and tea. A cheeky, refreshing glass of Pimm’s paired well with the salmon sandwich. Well priced and lovely quality. We all walked out content and refreshed. Wish we had time to go back before we leave! Highly recommend.

My friends and I had a wonderful afternoon tea here. We were welcomed and shown to our table very quickly and in a friendly manner. The selection of sandwiches and cakes on offer was hard to choose from as everything sounded and looked good. The food was quickly brought out, well presented and everything tasted delicious. The different teas on offer were a pleasant surprise too. There was a lot on the menu other than afternoon teas, and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for lunch, or just tea and cake. The outside of the building is really charming and photogenic. It is really conveniently located very near to the castle entrance/exit.

I definitely don’t consider myself an afternoon tea expert by any means but I have visited this area several times over the past 5 years and have enjoyed a lovely and delicious afternoon tea each time . It’s a small place just outside the castle . Everything is so fresh and beautifully displayed ! We did try a very upscale afternoon tea Near Stratford Upon Avon and it was not nearly as good .

Lovely tea house. We arrived with a large group of 7 and no reservation. They were absolutely wonderful and moved things around in order to accommodate our group. The whole ambience was great and so was the food. We tried everything a bit of everything: teas and hot chocolates, sandwiches, soups and their great desserts trolley. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend.

We had a lunch with a group of friends & booked in advance knowing how popular it is & we was a group of 7. They put us in our own private room which was upstairs & very quaint. The young lady who served us was very pleasant & got all our orders right ( not easy with a large group). I had a Welsh Rabbit which was lovely & creamy I would highly recommend . Two of my friends had a cream tea for one which they shared because there was so much! We did have to wait a while before someone came to take our order but we was told this beforehand & we wasn’t rushing so it was fine. All in all an enjoyable lunch.

The exterior of this 16th Century building is incredible it’s worth a visit to see that. Unfortunately the cafe inside is less impressive, the staff were friendly and service was good which is why it gets 2 stars and not 1 star. The cappuccino is up there with the worst I’ve had, unsure if they forgot to just put milk in and the cups and utensils provided were in need of a good clean. Sad because this could be an absolute gem but I can’t recommend.

We came here for a proper afternoon tea and that’s what we got. It’s quaint and busy - so book in advance or pop in and reserve a table for a little bit later whilst you go for a wander. Whilst overall I loved it, there were a few minor things which reduced my rating from a 5 to a 4. The menu is extensive with loads of options of teas and cakes and savoury food. There were 3 of us and we opted for the afternoon tea for 3. I loved that you could each choose a sandwich option as I don’t eat meat so I didn’t want to be stuck with ham sandwiches 🤣. You then selected a cake (how do you do this from a long list of scrumptious looking cakes)? Then a choice of a plain or fruit scone with jam and clotted cream. It’s a big serve and I’d think about doing a tea for two for three people next time! Although you can take home anything you can’t manage. The food was home style and all really good. The fillings in the sandwiches were plentiful. I had smoked salmon and they had not removed the end fatty bits (I know it’s just me) but it ruins it for me. The others had cheese and tuna which were also good. I had a cream horn (can’t remember the last time I had one) with real cream (to die for). And then a plain scone which was huge, crusty exterior, fluffy interior and warm. Clotted cream was lovely. However, whilst my two companions had a pot of tea each - I asked to swap this out for coffee as I don’t drink tea. I was offered a drip coffee (that’s fine) but it was a small cup and there was no refill. I think for the price we paid it would have been reasonable to be offered a refill. Eating all that food makes you thirsty. It’s a little thing but for 48 quid I thought it was disappointing and it definitely impacted my overall experience. Other than that, the service was good and the environment was lovely. And I’d go back.

We were recommended this gorgeous, traditional tea room by a local lady we met on the river walk from Harbury to Warwick. We were not disappointed. This is a lovely, homely and friendly place serving top quality foods and teas, the tea menu is longer than the food menu 😋. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. I had the roast beef sandwich on Granary and my partner had the soup and sandwich. Great portion size, oh, and the price....about 30% cheaper than any place around. Certainly value for money. The bread was fresh with lovely crunchy crust, the roast beef was tender and delicious. For dessert I had the orange and Almond cake and my partner had the courgette and lime cake. So moist, tasty and again, a large portion size for £3.50 each. Seek out this hidden gem, I guarantee you won't be disappointed

Loved this cafe, with its low ceilings, exposed beams and comfy chairs. We had the afternoon tea and enjoyed the beef sandwiches, warm, fluffy scones, chocolate fudge cake, and delicious tea (there was a vast array of loose leaf tea to choose from). Staff were...

This is always one of our favourite places for tea and cake. We called in today and, not only did it not disappoint, the berries cake was absolutely delicious.

Lovely afternoon tea and friendly staff. Cakes are delicious and servers were very helpful. The sandwich are wonderful too. The little middle age house is lovely too.

Where do I start? The attitude of waitresses was terrible, dirty seats and when food arrived I thought it was for the wrong table, it certainly was not an afternoon tea I have ever experienced, one choice of sandwich and the same with slice of...

Stopped here for coffee and cake on our way into Warwick Town Centre. The coffee was gorgeous and all the cakes were homemade. They also sold nice gifts. It was so mild for January we sat outside!

I took my mum here for her birthday today and we both were extremely disappointed. We were taken upstairs to sit at a table so low down we struggled to eat at it. The waitress just left us with no explanation of menu. She came...

I am always looking for gluten free options as I have Coeliac disease and what a gem these tea rooms are. Nearly all cafes and restaurants buy white gluten free bread, which is horrible, but here they had seeded brown bread. The sandwich came with...

This is how a tea room should be run. Friendly, efficient staff, great food, reasonable prices and a lovely ambience in a beautiful old building. Our lunchtime soup and sandwich were top notch. Definitely recommended. The outside loo is a bit quirky, but given the...

This pub is glorious. Jess, Adam and the staff team are the tightest of tight-knit bands. They've all got each other's backs, and new staff become part of the team and "get" the culture in the blink of an eye - it must be infectious! The beers are lovely. The food is home-cooked magic. In summer, the walled garden is a sun-dappled sanctuary from the bustle of life. In winter, the twinkling lights and open fires warm the soul. We love the New Bowling Green!!!

After booking the back function room for a Wedding for 2 days (the wedding day and the day before to 'set up') with less than 2 weeks notice we found out that they had double booked and cancelled on us. Has Nick the Landlord any idea what kind of stress that is going to have on any couples memorable day!? Have you any idea how hard it is with such short notice to find anything at all available. Most venues being booked up for at least a year! Thanks Nick, nice one. This was in July this year and moreover the only reason we discovered this total f**k up is because we phoned to check on the arrangements!
