The Oxford Cafe in Warwick

One of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time.

Went there for breakfast this morning. Got the order wrong. No apology. Tried to blame the lady who took the order. Even worse I then received sarcastic remarks from the server and owner. I won't be back. Avoid. 29/2/24 Four years ago I had a dreadful experience at this cafe and left a one star review. I decided to try again and went there for breakfast again today. After waiting for the food to arrive for 30 minutes it was the wrong breakfast, eggs were not poached, no mushrooms, and half a ton of fried potatoes. The cook/owner? poked her head through the hatch to tell me it was the fault of the boy on the counter who wrote the breakfast down. I would have thought it was the fault of the owner who employed someone who is so stupid they can't write a single dish on a piece of paper and get it right.

Highly recommend if you fancy a lovely warming home made dishes, cottage pie is my favourite and let’s not forget pulled pork & crackling rolls on Wednesdays! Yummy, lovely customer service always , thank you! X

My first time in Oxford cafe For me the eggs were well over done the and the toast very pale still like bread rather than toast and the sausage was quite dense and again pale I like a good colour to my sausages . A couple of my friends I was eating with enjoyed there breakfast and said it was superb so I suppose it's down to the individual but overall 4 stars

Loved the breakfast and coffee here. Plus it is a pet friendly place and they served our pup with water which was very kind. Also you can order eggs or sausage for pets. Staff is poliete and they accept cash or card payment. Overall wonderful experience will visit again 😊

Feels like a London cafe. Food big portions (especially the cheesy toast). Sausages could be Lincolnshire but I know that costs. Multiple sizes of breakfast. I liked that it was definitely out the way of the hustle and bustle of town.

Working in the area so called in with a colleague. Excellent breakfast. Red hot, fresh and damn fine service. Would recommend.

We always looked forward to going for breakfast at the Oxford every time the school half term came. However, they don't allolw dogs and my autistic friend has a comfort dog, so on our recent visit, I asked if we could have a table outside. The attitude of the lady who served us was typical of Leamington people. She acted as if we were an inconveniece and begrudgingly agreed to give us a table. However, the other lady, whom I assume was the chef brought out some sliced sausages for my friends dog, so that bkinda made up for her colleagues nasty attitude.

The breakfast is £10 with potatoes! Only white bread which was like cardboard! The tea is also cheap quality and the orange juice was concentrate. I have had much better for a cheaper price.

Never got to eat there, couldn't park anywhere , even though it was empty, drove round 3 times ,couldn't park still!

Food over priced for what you get no salt,pepper,vinegar or sauces on your table you have to ask for them and God no's what the brown sauce is but it tastes disgusting

Good breakfast, but a 45 minute wait for a fry up seemed excessive.

Very clean restaurant, friendly staff, and most importantly a banging breakfast, what more could you ask for.

Heating not on so it was really cold. Service good, food OK (except for the sausages). Would happily visit again!

Great breakfast Love this place

Ordered the full English, came out very quickly and nice food. Only criticism would be the two owners, seemed very cold to talk to and I felt if I didn’t make my order instantly they looked almost irritated. Friendly customer service goes a long way, having a pair of faces like smacked arses doesn’t.

My 1st visit to the Oxford in many years, a smashing breakfast all cooked fresh and piping hot. £7 for "the oxford" is spot on, good quality and a good size. Nice cup of tea too.

My wife recommend this place has she goes regular so she took me this morning for a lovely bacon and egg Sarni I must say cooked it to perfection and bread lovely and soft it's a must go when anyone gets the chance staff r lovely and very accommodating 👍

Do a very nice take away full English breakfast....when lockdown is over they have a big seating and table area. Well worth a visit. Imagine it gets busy Saturday mornings.

Slightly of beaten track but definitely best fry up in town , other food options available for all dietary needs and ages , and an actual mug of tea! Not a silly cup 😉

Perfect little cafe for a full English before work. Cheap, clean, and friendly the sizes were just right as well. All trades must visit this before a days graft.

I found this little cafe very nice it is in a random place as there are no shops near it and houses either side of it. However despite where it is it is a very cafe. I had a lunch of a Tuna melt, chips and drink. It came to £7 and I was expecting a small sandwich. Boy was I wrong a whole baguette filled with Tuna and Proper Cheddar Cheese. What I lied was the small handful of salad on the side so you could put it in the sandwich if wanted. It was lovely and for that price totally worth another trip.

It is certainly a cafe, quite basic, no frills. Nice outdoor patio seating area. Friendly, polite, welcoming staff. Nice food at a reasonable price. Would eat here again

Have visited The Oxford several times and it delivered each time. The decor is exactly as you would expect as is the counter ordering and best of all so are the prices.Definitely worth a visit if in need of a big breakfast when in Leamington. One change... replace the individual sachets of sauce on each table with better tasting and less wasteful bottles.

Visited here this week for breakfast,and felt this was good value.If the rest of the food is as good you wouldn't go far wrong to give it a try.Nice clean and tidy toilets also.It's what it says it is a Cafe with no frills ,but worth a visit.

Called here for breakfast with a mate whilst In Leamington today (Saturday) to look at a job, We both had The Oxford breakfast, It was ok but for what you got for the money (quite pricey) we were not Impressed and the bacon tasted strange (was dry and tough) and all day we both said It was all we could taste and were convinced It was not too fresh & more than likely cooked the previous day and warmed up !! We used to be regulars here but will not be returning !! Nice waitress though

OXFORD MEGA £8.45 value for money and content. Fills a huge void until dinner time. Friendly staff. Clean environment. Highly recommended. Has a courtyard for summer alfresco dining and dog friendly and child friendly. Great little place. No pretence. Comfortably down to earth.

I'm often in Leamington Spa at lunchtime, wanting a light, quick lunch. The choice is great, though beans on toast are nearly always my 'go to'! The staff are friendly, the food is good, well-priced, and a good mug of tea too!

Yum yum yum. My wife and i come to the Oxford cafe once a month for treat. We have the all day big breakfast £8 ,which is always great. Lots of toast and a mug of tea included. What could be better ? It's spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and helpfull .

As Cafes go this one rates above average. Exceptionally clean and the staff are efficient and friendly. Menu off the day . .however go for the Oxford breakfast. Always a good stock of newspapers and news on sky .

The service was second to none when I booked for 15 Oxford Breakfasts as the starting point for a day out with friends. The staff had to check availability since 10am was their busy time & they didn't want to compromise on quality & standard of service. We agreed to arrive at 11am & have tea & toast then, followed by our cooked breakfasts at 11.30. We sat in the courtyard garden...perfect for th large size of our group. All the food came at the same time, piping hot, large portions that most of us weren't able to finish. I especially enjoyed the sliced potato chips. The food was not too greasy. It was a great place to chat with our mugs of tea & coffee & get ready for our big day out on the canal boat, with wine & lots of laughter all day long. Thank you Luke we all loved The Oxford Cafe.

We have been here a few times now and our breakfast is always hot, well cooked and excellent value for money. The staff are attentive and the café is spotlessly clean. Give it a try and you will be back.
