We noticed this cafe when heading into Ambleside and decided to give it a whizz for a coffee and a snack…. What a great find, lovely and clean, comfortable atmosphere and great views. As a lover of pistachio lattes I was not disappointed 😊 and the fruit bread really hit the spot - thank you xx

Had to come on here and leave a review after such a lovely experience. Myself, daughter & granddaughter went in for food and drinks before going to the nearby hotel for the night. The food was really nice with great portions. The service they gave was the main reason for my review today. They could not do enough to ensure we had everything we needed! Even offering to change the eggs if they were not to our liking! Well done ladies. Keep up the great customer service.

Every dish was perfect from crab cake starters to creme Brûlées. Our family table of six had three different choices of mains, salmon, chicken and venison. Every plate was perfect, with tasty sauces, jus, creamy leeks and lemon butter sauce with the fish. We all had desserts and wine too. This is how restaurants should be, great service, no rush and absolutely stunning food.

Called here after reading good reviews as I was looking for somewhere to take my wife and mother in law for a mother's day afternoon tea. It was quite short notice but Carol, the owner, said that she would accommodate us after the two main sittings had finished. We were the only customers in at that time and we were made very welcome. The food was very nice and the cakes were home made, all delicious. Carol and the other staff were friendly and attentive throughout. We would definitely go back even for a cuppa and a cake when in Cannock.

Unspoilt by progress, The Railway is the sort of pub any village would be proud of. Its position next to the parish church is quintessentially English. On entering, the pub felt cosy and we received a warm welcome from the landlord. On the bar were four real ales and the beer was in good condition. What else could you ask for? Well worth the journey.

Actually looking at massively rude responses from these *owners* I'm very glad I didn't order any thing more. Most of All the Good reviews are written about previous owner and that's why people think this is a good place to go. But clearly from the really terribly rude replies to any of the reviews that demonstrates a concern for its quality and customer service is replied with awful rudeness.. Based on the replies to reviews alone. If you have any sense. I'd give this place a wide berth... And find somewhere else where you are not verbally abused by the staff. Who wants to give money to people like that? Thank god it was just a coffee.

Without a doubt the best breakfast “experience” around. From the moment we walked in to the minute we left, we had the best time ever. Excellent service from the hostess with the mostess, you know who you are! Went for the large breakfast and the wife had the smashed avocado. Both plates finished off and could not fault it. Will be coming back again for the wet T-shirt competition!!!

Stumbled on this place while visiting the local area. Glad we went! The service was exceptional, greeted with a real heartfelt welcome as if we’ve been coming for years. The menu had plenty to choose from and the food came out quick, fresh and tasted delicious. This cafe is everything you could want: reasonably priced, welcoming staff, good service, and tasty honest home cooked food. Happily recommend this place to anyone. Keep up the good work team, you should all be proud of what you’ve created.

Genuinely one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Great service too.
