We stopped here for a coffee after a morning of walking about Stratford, the selection isn't extensive but the filter coffee was very nice but the highlight was their great big slices of moist and unctuous fruit cake a delicious dream of a fruit cake. I recommend here for the fruit cake alone, go there experience it...

Called for a piece of cake and a coffee. Although not a large range of cakes the Lemon Drizzle cake was to our liking. The Lattes were just a good as the cake. I like to support family run businesses whenever I can. Nice spot by the river as well.

Lovely location but £2.50 for a ‘latte’ that is from a sachet with hot water poured on it is ridiculous. Literally left a bad taste in my mouth.

Living locally we have visited this tea room on numerous occasions in the past and have never been disappointed. The quality of the cakes, particularly the fruit cake and freshly baked scones was excellent. Reasonably priced with four teas, two scones with cream and two pieces of fruit cake costing less than £20. Service was efficient and staff were friendly. Great location adjacent to the old tramway bridge overlooking the river Avon. Well worth a visit.

My wife and I stumbled across the Riverside Tea Garden when we stopped off in Stratford-upon-Avon this weekend. We hadn’t intended to be going to the town and decided we’d drop in on our way home from a day out. Upon arrival we found that the local river festival was on, meaning it was very busy. We had a short wander and found this place and ordered some tea and cake. Whilst paying I enquired as to what was going on in the town, which the lady serving me gladly told me. Our tea and cakes were brought over and were lovely, but the lady who served me also came back and offered us a guide for the river festival event that was going on! It’s such a small thing to do, but taking that extra little step shows that you really care about the customer and their day. Please pass on my thanks to your fantastic staff, next time we are in the area we will definitely be stopping off again.

We arrived quite late in the day and the gentleman was folding chairs so we thought we may be too late for a pot of tea. However he told us we would be welcome to sit at the wooden picnic benches nearer to the river and we were able to have our pot of tea. We were so impressed with the ladies in the kitchen - they manage so well in such a small space and it is important to stand outside so you don't get in their way. A very pleasant young lady brought out tea to our bench and we spent a very enjoyable watching the boats, this is a lovely spot.

We decided to stop at The Riverside Tea Garden as it was a lovely sunny day & the situation is perfect sitting in the garden overlooking the boats on the river. I went to order our food & drinks & was greeted by two very young girls who were very friendly. However when I asked for a brown bread ham sandwich I was told she would have to check if the brown bread was out of date & announced in front of me it was. I settled for white bread & the sandwich was fresh & good value. The Lattes were a different matter - the young girl brought them to our table together with some milk, I said we wouldn't be wanting milk as there would be plenty in our Latte to which she responded the Lattes are made from powder & boiling water. At £2.20 each I should have refused them - they were absolutely awful. I was very surprised that there didn't seem to be an older person in charge supervising & training these young girls.

After a lovely afternoon walking up and down the riverbank, this garden cafe was just perfect for a cup of tea and a scone/slice of cake. We were greeted warmly and dealt with promptly. Delicious scones and lemon drizzle cake! Wonderful setting overlooking the river, but off to one side so still peaceful. A great location for watching people messing about in boats! An excellent rating from us. We have marked value for money as a 4/5 simply because we found everywhere in Stratford to be much more expensive than back home in Suffolk. Have been eating here for years whenever I am rowing in Stratford and the weather is ok to sit outside, (next to the boat hire). Have tried various other cafes and restaurants in the area but would rate this as my favourite, (always a chance it will be closed occasionally during the season). Homemade cake and scones go down really well, likewise the hot chocolate and tea, and very reasonably priced to get 2 cakes and 2 drinks for under a tenner in such a fine location. Must stop by at least 8 times a year now and always look forward to lunch and saying hello again. Does get busy on sunny weekends but usually manage to get a table. No loos onsite but that isn't a problem as the public toilets aren't far away.
