Lj's Beach Shack in Teignbridge

What the actual hell has just turned up at my door? We ordered the finish and chips with a description of cod and chips with a blistered lemon and homemade tartar sauce, sausage and chips, onion rings and doughnuts. It turns up as 2x frozen battered fish fillets from a supermarket. Tasted like utter rubbish. My daughter’s sausage was cheap, nasty and burnt. Doughnuts eww! Greasy and nasty! Tried to contact restaurant but went straight to voicemail. Complained via just eat for a refund. Absolutely disgusted. All they needed to do was contact me to state they have no fish and chips as funnily enough we checked the just eat menu after and the fish and chips had been removed. I’d avoid purely on the basis of integrity. People like that don’t deserve a penny from hardworking people in these difficult times. My order was £52 so I’d better get it back! I’ll never use this outlet again!

Amazing once again! I cannot rate this team enough. I always love their food and today they outshone themselves. I love the halloumi burger but can’t manage the full burger, contents and fries, so requested it without the bun. No questions asked and a beautiful creation was made. Halloumi falafel dirty fries! Wow I'd been waiting to visit here after a couple of months when I saw the photos online, A little hut right by the sea with ample parking and free after 6pm, fantastic views! I ordered the beef Yorkshire wrap and it was amazing ! Big portions super tasty we were stuffed! Also the hot choc and cream was a hit! Makes a lovely evening out and worth the visit.

Food was unreal, full of flavour and the portion size was huge. Would recommend to anyone in or around the local area, it’s the only place to get food.

Fantastic lunch. Bit of a wait, but well worth it; chicken and chorizo burger, ultimate stack burger, falafel burger and calamari were all excellent. Fries were crisp and tasty, as they should be. Staff were friendly and helpful. Handy seating area looking over the river moorings was very pleasant and pretty much gull free - a real bonus at a coastal eatery. Highly recommended.

LJ’s is always somewhere we like to stop at for some food whilst we’re on our annual family holiday. The food has always been delicious every time we visit - this year we tried the halloumi burger and the chicken & chorizo burger and both were amazing whilst enjoying the view and the sunny weather. Highly recommended

Absolutely disgusting food I wouldn't feed it to my dog. it was dripping in grease that dripped out all over my new shirt. I won't ne going here again.

This is my first review on Tripadvisor LJs is a tremendous little place. The food is excellent. It is a beach shack that does takeaways so for what it is. It's excellent. There is a bigger range of food before 5pm and there are slightly cheaper options as well before 5pm. However, the food is decent, portion sizes are big. Staff are friendly and food is cooked to order On the downside I thought the chips were slightly too salty. Price £30 for two burgers, a children's meal and two hot drinks. Which is probably a little steep

Just had the best Burger ever! King’s Coronation Burger was to die for. So much on the menu to choose from and the staff are so friendly. Great food by the beach what more would you want. Will definitely be coming back.

Delicious food and a great place to stop when out for a seafront dog walk. Have tried the delivery and on site and always happy with the brilliant service. Really like the Mediterranean vibe LJs brings to Teignmouth with live music on the beach, and the little touches like the menu themes and cake specials. It’s our fave local stop for sure.

I can't praise this place highly enough nor do I need to just look at the reviews. I live in Teignmouth and have had takeaways (delivered to my home) as well as eating down on the back beach. I have never had a bad meal from this little business. Highly recommended.

Got this as a takeaway option at the weekend with some friends and it was absolutely amazing. Best loaded fries I have had so far and definitely worth the price as the portion sizing is very generous. They are also located near the back beach in Teignmouth so also a good scenic spot to eat their scrumptious food. I’ve been here a couple of times now and the customer service is always 10/10 😊👍

The quality has always been good and we decided to get a takeaway a couple of days ago - it was delicious. Decent delivery time- it was a Friday eve and was about 30 minutes. Hot on delivery- and the bbq pulled pork dirty fries were amazing! We also had the chicken and chorizo burger which was good.
