No point trying to order anything to pick up, we had food once which was good hence the 2nd star but have tried ringing on more than 5 seperate occasions since, to order lunch for the office but they never answer the phone. Given up trying now!

Popped in for a meal while on holiday camping as menu sounded good, was a great experience and I would recommend for a meal out option while staying in the area. Burgers were especially nice!

A wonderful warm greeting from the young man serving, excellent service and the latte coffee was gorgeous. Food was freshly cooked, plentiful and well presented. Herd in the grapevine that the food was lovely here so decided to try . I must say we normally travel to bovey Tracy for kebab and pizza I won’t bother now as this was far tastier and a lot more effort had been made in terms of flavours and looks. Everything was lovely thank you!

We have just been served one of the most delicious Christmas meals. Cannot find words to describe the quality of the meal. Tasty, hot and freshly cooked. No microwave in this dinner. Prawns succulent and the size amazing, turkey and veg on point. Christmas pudding home made. This meal is outstanding. Thank you for a most memorable meal. Been here 3 times in the past 2 weeks (don't judge🙈) as a family,couple and quick fix meal. Had something different each time and wowsers!!! The food is the nectar of the Gods with Paul and Coby being said God's! 👌The food is stunning and the service is impeccable 😋 well done boys. We will be regular customers. We were looking for a cafe that welcomed dogs, and did breakfasts. We were delighted with this place. The food was great, and the young man serving was friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this place and will return.

I can't recommend them enough. Foods always fantastic, staff are lovely. A business that can't do enough for you. I'm having treatment at the moment that effects my appetite but scampi really appealed. I did not mention this when I ordered I just asked for no chips. I was charged less, got twice the amount of a beautiful salad and I think a few extra scampi thrown in. Amazing thing is with no appetite I ate all my scampi so that tells you how good they are.

If you're in Ashburton and feeling hungry l can thoroughly recommend this little cafe for one of the best breakfast I've had in ages. Butchers bacon was so tasty as were the sausages, free range eggs and local mushrooms. Topped of with toast . I was full right up till tea time! Price... Std breakfast Currently £9.50 This comes with hogs pudding & black pudding and hash browns but l gave these a miss. A 5 star breakfast 😋

I took my 2 sons here for some dinner & we were all very impressed. The food was so tasty - even the salad which I'm not a huge fan of! The staff were friendly & seemed to have agreat rapport with each other & customers alike. We'll be back...

Was really impressed with this place. The menu plus the specials gave lots of variety and when the food arrived the portions were great and the flavour of the El Diablo 3 was definitely one I would recommend!

We regularly order from Diablo’s. The burgers are really delicious and the service is always very friendly. Can’t wait for everything to open so we can go and eat in again.

Fed up with cooking so I decided to order a takeaway which I rarely do as often dissapointed. I was not with diablos, the staff were lovely and the food was fantastic. I love lots of salad and had extra all prepared but I didn't need it as their salad was fresh and lots of it. Everything was cooked to perfection, generous portions, so much that I will be having the rest reheated tonight. Thoroughly recommend.

One of the best full English breakfasts I've ever had!

A very friendly little cafe with lovely staff (especially the young lad who works there). They offer a varied menu with great options for vegetarians too! Left feeling fully satisfied both times we visited. 100% recommend!

Amazing food, friendly and well priced. So good we had to come back for another full English 2 days later. Couldn’t complain about anything. Would recommend it to anyone looking for good food. Best for miles around.

Accommodated 6 at short notice for breakfast - - walked right in. Menu seems really varied and good for everyone. We’re vegetarians and really enjoyed the veggie breakfast. The meat eators in the group really loved the hogs pudding. So good came back for last day of our trip!

Sadly we were unable to eat as they were fully booked, so make sure you call ahead! As it turned out we ate elsewhere and got to enjoy a walk around this beautiful village, result! The staff were lovely though and the venue looked fab, just reserve your table to avoid disappointment....!

Back in Ashburton for 3rd visit and always visit Diablos at least once whilst here. Great breakfast served by brilliant friendly staff. The diner is tucked away in a back street but well worth seeking out.

Got home , kitchen being renovated and so we went out . We have a couple of small dogs and it's mid-week , I remembered walking past this place going to the nearby comic shop and so of we set . As we entered, we both said the same thing , it's got a downtown cool "Icelandic" feel . It's not posh ,it's welcoming , welcoming if you want a meal out or on the way home , no frills ,just a cool relaxed place to eat. Menu was varied, service was excellent , friendly and attentive. The food was really good , a couple of cauliflower cheese's , with side salad and a dirty BBQ fries . We will be back .

Unexpected because the place looks a little downmarket but appearances can be deceptive. Five of us went there for supper on my son's recommendation. He had seen something on Instagram that he and my daughter both fancied eating. It wasn't available on the menu that night, but when the waitress knew they wanted it ( a burger with Camembert) she said that as long as the local store was still open they would organise it - and they did! Portions were large and the food was very tasty. It is a BYO diner - no corkage charged. Super value for money and a relaxed evening out. Check opening hours.

Louise and Paul recently provided the food for our event and it was all absolutely beautiful and so delicious! Everyone loved it! They were extremely accommodating and provided all vegetarian (mostly vegan), locally-sourced & organic food with gluten-free options! Thank you very much :)

Down a side street it looks a bit basic - but very very friendly welcome Good choice of dishes - we had late breakfast - perfectly cooked - delicious varied choices ! Coffee was nice Definitely recommended! They do evening meals at weekends and the odd homemade pie evening - I’d love to go next time ! Great place !

One of the very best All Day Breakfasts I have ever had.Even includes fried bread like a proper English breakfast, not stupid American hash browns.Three people with me had steaks, all ordered them cooked differently, all were cooked correctly.Nice people.Clean.Remember to bring your own alcoholic drinks if you want them as they don't have a license, they provide glasses.

We go here regularly on a rare day off. Diablos is a small diner but offers a huge menu. Their breakfasts & burgers are delicious, filling & well-priced. The service is friendly & unfailingly polite.

Stopped for a coffee and hot cross bun. Very friendly service and a pleasant place to eat. Open on a Monday .... one of the few places in town that is.

What a lovely surprise- we nearly didn’t go in because it looked a bit bright... even went looking for somewhere else - but returned because no other menu quite grabbed us! What a treat - simple but delicious - we will return! Nice to be able to take our own bottle of tasty wine and drink as much or little as we wanted! The chef and staff were friendly generous and sweet. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

Just wanted to say what a lovely evening we had at Diablo’s diner. Food, service and whole evening was perfect. A couple of us had the set meal, great value for money, and plenty of choice, whilst others ate from the menu, there was something for everyone. It has the advantage of being a BYO which makes for a reasonable night out. You deserve to do well, we will be back.

Had heard great things about this place. I knew it before Paul the chef and owner took over. It was then a pleasant cafe. Now it is a gastronomic delight.

My husband and I visited for a 3 course meal.What a fantastic meal it was too! Food cooked to perfection,the staff very friendly and helpful, will definitely be visiting again.

We just stopped here for breakfast on the spur of the moment having found other places too busy and what a nice surprise. My traditional full English was perfectly prepared with good quality ingredients and a nice flavoursome twist on the hash brown. My wife's vegetarian breakfast had a Mediterranean twist and was declared extremely tasty. There's obviously an effort here to serve good quality food at a fair price but with a little bit of extra flair. As for the decor it's a fun little place with a novel use for old vinyl!

I moved to Ashburton a year ago and discovered Diablos, as I love a late cooked breakfast, soon after moving in. It is my favourite place to eat in Ashburton as its very relaxed, the chef, Paul, and the staff, Coby and Wendy are really welcoming. The menu is extensive and all 3 of my grown up kids have found a favourite. I can't praise the food enough. I would highly recommend Diablos, especially if you're very hungry!

Well if you like excellent food and service this is the place to go, I went there with my family for lunch and what can I say, firstly as we walked in we were greeted by a lovely young man with a big smile! Then came the food, between us we must have ordered most things on the menu and we weren't disappointed everything was tasty, hot and I've got to say spot on. I'd definitely recommend this diner. Well done to the staff and Paul the chef.

This is by far my favourite place in Ashburton to go to eat. So many options, comfortable, welcoming and affordable. The portion sizes are perfect especially for how little you pay and everything I’ve tried so far has been fabulous, no faults or complaints in the two years I’ve been eating here. Would definitely recommend this little cafe to anybody looking for somewhere nice to eat in the town.

Having visited Diablos on many occasions with friends and family and also alone I can highly recommend the breakfast they do being gluten free nothing is too much trouble. Great selection of coffee and cold beverages sublime service. A real credit to the town.

Closes at 2 which is a pity but the selection of food is enough to cover most needs at lunchtime, it's good value, there are sometimes discount deals and the staff is/are friendly and helpful.

Massive range of meals at very reasonable prices, a all day half breakfast was enough for me. But if your a big eater maybe you should try and eat what they call their Belly Buster Breakfast, massive. The milkshakes the children on the next table were have looked like meals, great place to treat the kids. Lovely place with a warm welcome well worth finding if you any where near Ashburton. Recommended.

We had a takeaway from Diablos and the food was really good- top quality! Being vegan,it can often be very difficult to be catered for but I called them and they did have a vegan option.A really delicious spicy spinach and chickpea burger on a large bed of salad....even the salad was amazing,with beetroot, red onion,lettuce etc. not your average limp affair. Thank you Diablos!!!

Visited here with hubby and our 5 children for breakfast whilst staying at a nearby caravan park for our son's graduation. What a lovely find, very polite service, a little bit of a wait though as there were 7 of us, but we didn't mind as everything was cooked fresh. Lovely tasty meals, would highly recommend

I visited here with family (and on a few other occasions) not long ago. The breakfast is pretty good here and the staff are very friendly - BUT (and the reason for giving it 3 stars) I find it odd that you don't get beans with it, you have to order these as an extra - for me beans are a staple of a full English and should be included. The menu seems good for other things too and they have some good dishes for lunch and dinner as well, which I haven't tried but would be tempted!

My boyfriend and I went to visit Diablos Diner for dinner while staying at a hotel around the corner after doing a bit of research of local restaurants in the area. We were very excited by the idea of a nice burger or fish and chips dinner. The Game of Thrones burger (£16) caught our attention being described as having 3 4oz patties, pulled pork, a hash brown, bacon, tomato, lettuce, onion and sauce. This also includes 'Dirty Fries' which are chunky chips with baked beanz and cheese on top. How could that not appeal to anyone?! Alongside that, we also ordered the fish and chips with peas. The fish and chips were lovely, no complaints there! Just your typical pub food. As for the burger, all the aspects of it were amazing, other than the main part, the patties. Unfortunately, the patties were very poor quality, and were definitely frozen out of a package - not freshly made. It's such a shame, as the restaurant has a lot going for it. Friendly service, food came out promptly and a cool hip atmosphere. And other than the patties, the food was lovely. Was just a little let down by the poor quality patties, they really ruined the burger and made us unable to finish it. Please don't get me wrong, Diablo's Diner is a lovely little spot in the little town of Ashburton. With friendly service and reasonably priced food, it's a great hidden spot for a nice meal. We were just a bit let down by the burger patty quality. We would definitely return back to Diablo's, but order something else :)

Good breakfast served here but service not the best, no apology for given us a dirty cup when put in front of us with pot of tea, also missing pot of hot water with said pot of tea.

Stumbled across this diner whilst visiting Ashburton. Enjoyed a very tasty bacon sandwich and coffee. I have a broken ankle and the lady made me very comfortable, very good value for money and sits nicely in the heart of Ashburton

We had a small breakfast and a vegetarian breakfast, both very good, particularly good sausage. Waitress kindly turned off the radio as my boyfriend has very sensitive hearing. Very clean and loved the salt and pepper pots! Food served very hot which we both appreciated.

Well, I have thought long and hard about this review. I keep reading the other reviews and I think I am missing something about the costs involved in preparing a Devon Breakfast and I am still about £2 short. . This is a small cafe setting, that is pleasant and clean.A full English is £8.50 which is the highest I have ever come across. £8.50? After returning to the Somerset Boarder, even our pricey places are less than £6 for free range but the other reviews say different, so maybe it is a Devon thing!The staff /owner was delightful and service was good but as I parted with my hard earned, a slightly bitter taste was left rather than a nice feeling

Wow, and wow again..After arriving to a lovely welcome.Paul's lovely wife took our order and we came back to collect it.When we got home, the food was amazing, our teenage boys loved their meals, and totally filling..Will be back very sooon, and totally recommend this lovely place.

Where can I start, walked in and was greeted by to the loveliest smile from the waitress who sat us down and was so helpful. We had 4 young children with us and she interacted with them perfectly, while me and my wife had a chance to look at the menu. After choosing our food it wasn't long before it arrived beautifully presented. The staff made sure that the children's food came first which is always a plus for us. The food a was absolutely outstanding quality and extremely good value for money. The service was great, would definitely recommend this diner.

Stopped off here on the way to Falmouth. Ordered the scotch pancakes and cheesy hash melt. Both were very yummy. Lady who served us was very friendly too. Seemed very popular with locals and dog friendly too.

Wow! Went to Diablos for my husband's birthday meal today and we are so glad we did. Absolutely beautiful meal!!! Yummy, yummy, scrummy! The food was excellent quality, and piping hot. Best food I've had from anywhere I've eaten. The service was lovely, very friendly, and we didn't have to wait long even though it was cooked to order. Travelled down from Torquay to go there as we'd heard how good it was. We will definitely be going back! Seriously recommend Diablos'. It's a must!!!

After looking at the reviews, we booked a table.We went for the steak special...We had a lovely starter, fantastic mixed grill, and a stunning desert..All the food came out really quickly and lovely..Couldn't believe it was just Paul..well done Paul, really lovely and well done to the young lady, who was doing everything else, definitely recommend to all, we will be back..

Fantastic food from such a tiny hidden place. I am going to eat there often now I have sampled it. I especially lie they do take out as they are so small. They do a massive menu and are very friendly. For the price the food is amazing.

Four of us visited this diner on a Saturday evening after reading good reviews on trip advisor. Couldn't be faulted ....2 of the party shared the 3 course special which included mixed grills. Excellent value at £29.99 per couple. The other meals were a starter of nacho's (which could have fed all 4 of us) Pie of the day & a firecracker burger(or something similar!) All excellent & more than ample portions. Non licensed so able to take your own alcohol hence keeping the price down. Not open every night so need to check opening hours. Overall excellent & would highly recommend.

It's hard to eat out when you have dogs - especially when it's raining! To find such a friendly place who clearly state they are dog-friendly is wonderful - & the major plus - so is the food! We sampled a "special" - a pasta & jalopino patty on a briche roll with curried cole slaw etc - just one word - Delicious!! I tried the nachos with added pulled pork, & although I really like Monterrey Jack cheese on nachos - it was still a pleasent dish. We'll be back to try more from the menu on our next Moors visit!

This was a magnificent little café a gem almost hidden in Ashburton but well worth a visit. We had just completed a long walk so the food was welcome and well cooked and laid out it was a hot day but dogs are also very welcome with water and a quick sleep. The homemade cake is excellent and the breakfast very Highly Recommended first class staff and very friendly.

After reading several menus in town, and being dismayed either by price or foods being "trendy", we found this cafe. It was busy, but we were served promptly and considerately. My partner chose a half breakfast and I had the veggie breakfast option. I have to say it's the best veggie breakfast I've ever had when I've eaten out! I didn't feel like I'd been short changed, quite the opposite. I had a thoughtful and varied plate of food which was beautifully cooked. There were several more options on the menu that we liked so we'll certainly eat there again. Thank you!

The burgers, pies and puddings in this little diner are simply fantastic. I had a trifle here earlier on in the week and quite honestly it was the best trifle I've had in my life. If you're looking for a delicious quick bite to eat that is really reasonably priced then Diablo's is certainly the place for you. The diner also does takeaway. The staff are really welcoming and friendly too. Having only recently discovered it, I know that I'll be a regular visitor from here on in. Try it, you'll love it.

My partner and I only discovered Diablo's recently but have been twice in one week! The food is delicious, catering very well for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. The pies and burgers are the tastiest we've had anywhere, as are the desserts! The owners Louise and Paul and their waiting staff are so friendly and welcoming. I'm sure we will be back again and again.
