TickTocks in Medway

Went in the Ticktocks cafe at the end of lunch time and there was a two seater table squashed behind the open door and a four person table both empty. Having three shopping bags and two walking sticks and being chunky we headed for the four person table rather than being squashed behind the door with all our bags etc in the path way to the exit. We was immediatly set upon by a waitress who told us we could not have the four table just in case four people came in. I said we did not want the two seater as its to small, but she was not having an of it. So i said you dont want our money then you would rather have two empty tables, and so we left. Such poor customer service and i found insulting. We went to the Centre cafe just across the path that had two tables and four tables and we sat on a four table no problem and had a very good meal and cheaper.

Ordered a buffet for a family event. Both the quantity and quality weee exception. Cannot praise the staff enough. They are friendly and professional and the food is absolutely delicious.

Had a Roast lamb and chicken dinner with all the trimmings loved it. Staff are lovely here courteous and friendly food was hot fresh lovely roast potatoes fresh vegetables loved it

I have always loved Tick Tocks. Nice place. Staff are always efficient and sociable. I use Tick Tocks regularly. The food used to be extremely good but I have noticed over the last few months the food has deteriorated. Seems they are cutting corners especially portions and quality. Breakfast not cooked as it used to be. Mushrooms were served in a dish which were watery think they were cooked in microwave and couldn’t cut the bacon. Had poached eggs on toast, never seen such small poached eggs. Very disappointed as this was one of my favourite places to meet with friends. Not sure what’s gone wrong. Please put it right.

May 7, 2024 (11 -1130...Nikki & Teresa and the rest of the staffs were warm & friendly. Never snobs & very accommodating. Food & drinks were healthy, tasty and at your choices of combination (if you like) with staffs support and never an atmosphere that you should hurry up. Great place, posh but very friendly atmosphere that made the difference. Definitely will come back and recommend to family, colleagues & friends. Lovely lunch. Had the winter warmer soup, very tasty and hot which is always a plus for me. Then couldn’t help but be tempted by the delicious cakes on offer. I went for a slice on the orange spongecake, my friend chose se the Victoria Sandwich both were very definitely a good size! They offered a box if we couldn’t manage it, but we did. I’m sure we will return

Been here several times and always had a good experience. First time we’ve had afternoon tea and it was amazing and great value. 😃👍😋😋

Great little place. Good offering of homemade food. Went with 2 girls from work. We all had ham, egg and chips. I had perfectly runny eggs that I asked for and the other 2 asked for well done eggs. That’s what they got. Lovely decor and good hot food! We didn’t have to wait too long for it either. We’ve been before but I’ve forgotten to review. Good value too! Friendly staff.

What a wonderful place! Our first visit to Tick Tocks and we weren't disappointed. The food, service and atmosphere is brilliant. The homemade quiche and cakes are fabulous and their chips are just the best.. We will certainly return.

Absolutely lovely afternoon tea. Everything very fresh and a great variety of sweet and savoury goodies. Plenty of left overs to take home. We had 2 people in our group who didn't want sandwiches with mayo / pickle etc so they accommodated and did one platter as plain ham, cheese and chicken. Definitely recommend a visit. We will certainly return.

Took my friend to this delightful place for tea and cake as I’d heard so much about it. It didn’t fail. Friendly, atmospheric and the cake and home made sausage rolls were delicious. Think we’ll be trying the full lunch menu next time

This is the perfect place to chat, eat, drink and pass the time. Ideally situated. Homemade food. Friendly service and surrounded by clocks, so you’ll never run late! This business deserves to thrive and I’m sure it will as it has all the right ingredients.

We had a very nice breakfast, with perfect poached eggs. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant decor and background music, very relaxing.

A simple looking shop from the outside but stepping into it was like passing from noise into a quiet relaxing environment. The interior was tastefully decorated and a pleasure to be in.

I called into this little gem on speck when dropping documents off in the town. There was a friendly buzz about the place and on looking round I noticed the theme was clocks, of course! The whole place is charming, well lit and welcoming. Now… the food, I partook of macaroni cheese with chips (could have had salad!). Delicious. I’d ordered Black Forest gateau but took it home, plus a piece for hubby as I was full up after the main course. We both agreed the cake was very moist and moorish, yum. The friendly atmosphere and delicious food will have me returning. Probably many times.

Our weekly visit was as always greeted with the usual friendly reception. With a smile , pleasant greeting and great service. I would and have recomended this family run business to all my friends and relations. Rainham has a number of small returants/coffee shops but non can beat this for service, a warm welcome or value for money. Thanks to all .

First time visiting this cafe, and most likely the last... Everything seemed like too much effort from the staff when asking for condiments, it was almost thrown on the table! No smiles from the waitress, even when we said thanks, no acknowledgment! even waiting for the bill seemed like an effort from staff member who rudely dismissed us and went and served others instead after we asked if we could have the bill pleeease... There was just one lovely staff member who came over with the bill eventually she was polite and welcoming which made up for the other staff members. Sadly we won't be making another visit anytime soon as there are many more lovely cafes nearby with not such a pompous feel to it!!

Me and my mrs called in on the off chance, lovely breakfast and cleanest cafe ive ever been in. Highly recommend the full english! Polite staff!

Definitely recommend. Great service, tasty food and spotlessly clean. Nice to have somewhere local that’s not a chain. The clock theme is a nice quirky touch giving the place personality. The cakes looked amazing, so will be back for coffee and cake soon.
