Darkroom in Swindon

The coffee here is perfect - I have an extra hot oat milk flat white and it was spot on. So good I had another straight after! I also had the avocado on toast which was excellent value. Delicious, crunchy, thinly sliced local sourdough with well seasoned avo served separately so I could serve it up how I like, a really nice touch. Change nothing Darkroom and I’ll be back again and again

Had a tea to go as didn't have time to stay. I am obsessed with tea so when I saw a review that the tea was overpriced and the manager replied with the reason why I was intrigued. the is a lovely selection of teas to choose from, blacks, green, rooibos, herbal and oolong. it was hard to pick which tea. the barista carefully weighed the tea instead of the typical teaspoon amount you get in other places which I was pleased to see, they also told me how long to brew it for (I have resteeped that teabag 4times). I was also happy to be told the tea is from tea house emporium in bath which is my favourite tea shop. this place is not overpriced at all, they know how to brew tea the right way and the tea is from the best tea shop. I will be back everytime I;m in swindon for another cup of tea hopefully next time sit in.

Stopped here on the way to the station (honestly because I liked the name!) Service was very friendly, and most important the latte was very nice. Very smooth and lovely taste.(Similar prices to the chain coffee shops but much better quality) Would definitely come back again if I'm ever in Swindon in the future. P.S. Still one of the good ones in the town center. All of the food or coffee you cant miss. Coffee take away as well. Town center is dead but this is one of last place the worth for a visit.

I really love this cafe! It is worth every penny and the costumer service is always friendly!! The environment is so cosy and perfect for study, chats and enjoy! I started consistently going in September 2022 and every time the food and coffee is unmatched!! My weekly visit is always a highlight!

The place is located in Swindon town centre and it is a must-stop of you're passing by. Coffee is great so is food, especially avocado on sourdough toast 😍. Perfect place for a meet with friends or even solo.

By far my favourite coffee shop and many times the only reason to venture into Swindon town despite living here most of my life! Before and after holidays, days off, on the way to the train station or squeezing in a coffee and avocado on sourdough toast before visiting relatives nearby we always make plans around getting our fix of darkroom coffee, it really is the best coffee around and Steve the owner is our favourite barista although his new apprentice is learning quickly!

My First visit to Darkroom Espresso for a couple of years - so missed their coffee!!! Great to be back. Good quality Cafe Latte, the same good friendly service with banter. Comfy seat by the window. Everything you could possibly want from a local coffee shop!

I love this place, it's the only real, true coffee shop in Swindon or nearby, pure and beautiful ingredients, lovely staff, just absolutely fantastic. The owner, Steve is passionate about everything that is served, including the customer experience, I cant fault it.

This place is amazing! We had the best Cappuccino and Latte we've drank in a long, long time. We also had 2 sandwiches made by the team which were also delicious! 100% will be returning when I'm next in Swindon.

A quick early morning dash into Swindon to buy coffee beans. So tempted by the gorgeous coffee smell in the cafe, we ordered two flat whites to takeaway. Honestly the best we have ever had. Silky smooth coffee all the way down to the lat mouthful and a very pleasant after taste. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to trying our coffee beans at home.

This quirky, atmospheric coffee shop is still as fabulous as its first review on trip advisor says it is from 2015! my fiancé and I love local independents and have been to so many UK and worldwide and I rarely come into Swindon (and I live and work here!) but if I do a stop at darkroom espresso is non-negotiable, love the coffee, sandwiches and the donuts but even more importantly the relaxed atmosphere and great staff.

The food here is all vegetarian and vegan and is absolutely delicious. It is two or so pounds more mo eh than I would usually pay but for a payday treat this is fine. The coffee here is delicious too. Again it’s on the pricey side but well worth it for the quality and care that have gone into making it. I have even bought a t-shirt from the too! This is by far the best coffee in the centre of Swindon and a great independent business that has found its niche.

Like most people nowadays I drink my fair share of coffee both home and abroad. I often think Barcelona to be the home of best coffee but I have to say The Darkroom takes some beating. The barista is very experienced and makes each new cup as though it's his first. Its rich, smooth and delicious. No after taste and just heaven. On top of that there is a range of delicious vegan cakes, sandwiches and small snacks. A relaxed atmosphere with comfy seats, tables and angle poised lamps makes even working a joy! Lovely.

This place is absolutely awesome. I have never sat and had a coffee in a more fitting atmosphere. I would certainly recommend this lovely little coffee place to anybody local or visiting! 10/10 this is now my regular.

I went there with colleagues for a business meeting over coffee. The decor is industrial and the furniture is eclectic. However this adds to the relaxed atmosphere. The coffee is delicious. This is a great hangout.

Cafe located in an unprepossessing row of shops on Faringdon Rd but serving what must be the best coffee in Swindon. It is pricier than the chain coffee shops in the pedestrian area of town but you get what you pay for: if you want to really taste the varied flavours in quality coffee it's definitely the place to come. They have a limited but tasty range of sandwiches and snacks too. Staff are very friendly and helpful and it has become quite popular so there's a low key buzz in the place now.

Ni siquiera conocen este lugar allí no solamente vimos cuando visitamos una tienda cerca. Tiene un ambiente muy bueno. Tenían algunos juegos de mesa y jugamos al Scrabble, que era divertido. El café era bueno, sin embargo me sentí las tazas eran bastante pequeñas, como me gusta una buena taza de café y me sentí como que había desaparecido después de un par de bocados. También tuve un Danés que no disfrutar realmente y en retrospectiva, era un poco caro para lo que era. Personal amable y un ambiente relajado, se combinan para crear un paraíso perfecto lejos del bullicio de la ciudad. Acabo de regresar de estar en Melbourne y no creo que alguna vez encontrar una buena taza de café en el Reino Unido (cualquiera que sabía café en Melbourne se entiende). Pero este lugar tiene el mismo entorno agradable como tiendas de café de Melbourne y gran café de degustación. Voy a hacer mi nueva tienda regular de café. Incluso tienen juegos de mesa.

El uso casi completamente Roastery judías de Round Hill, ubicado en el baño, y sacar lo mejor de estos frijoles. También hacer una selección de sándwiches con pan de un proveedor local, Bertinet panadería, también proveedores también increíble selección de tartas y pasteles. Ir en cualquier momento, pero me gusta el día de la semana, siempre un poco de un ambiente y una estupenda manera de pasar el tiempo. Los chicos están siempre dispuestos a hablar con café y ofrecer asesoramiento sobre elaboración de casa. con todo, es un placer tener a la vuelta de la esquina.

We loved the decor in Darkroom Espresso and it had a really nice atmosphere. Otherwise the cakes were average and (other than the coffee) there isn't a wide range of drinks. We will probably come here again though.

Have been here a few times now and love the place. I like the tea, the sandwiches and cakes, with cool music in the background, friendly staff, it is so chilled out here, there are tables you can chalk on too.
