The best restaurants serving British food in England

Such a cute place and amazing dishes. To start with we had scallops and asparagus , then we went with their seafood pasta, tuna, sea-bass and lamb. To close it off, the orange and chocolate cheesecake + the rhubarb creme brûlée were stunning. Staff were super nice and friendly. I’d come back many times if possible, specially around Christmas time.

Tuve un comienzo muy frustrante al tratar de reservar mi té de la tarde , ya que nunca supe de las solicitudes de reserva que presenté y el servicio al cliente no respondió. Después de unos meses de tratar de obtener una respuesta y el bono expirando, encontré a Paige en LinkedIn y ella era un soplo de aire fresco! Ella era increíblemente servicial y eficiente, ordenando rápidamente la reserva para mí con días de carta roja. Desafortunadamente, la experiencia inicial con Revs fue decepcionante debido al mal servicio al cliente, pero Paige le dio la vuelta. Era profesional, proactiva, y fue más allá para ayudarme. No puedo agradecerle lo suficiente por reservar mi té de la tarde y por superar mis expectativas. Paige, eres increíble y estoy muy agradecida por toda tu ayuda. Gracias de nuevo por reservar!

I’ve been in a good few times and the people in there are as friendly as the last time I went in. The breakfasts are amazing and the takeaway coffee is perfect for your early mornings! It’s always absolutely spotless and staff are always up for a chat.

We stayed for one day. Bathroom floor was sticky, mattress was broken. No idea how this is even classified as a 5 star hotel

Great food, excellent staff who looked happy to be there and couldn’t help enough. Our group had a selection of meat and fish dishes, all of which were delicious. The service was efficient and friendly at all times, I would definitely recommend.

Best fish & chips I have had in years. Service was excellent, fish was cooked fresh and was melt in the mouth. This place is a few streets back from the front so you wouldn’t just come across it. It is well worth finding!

Great fully plant-based menu - appears to be same/similar to Orange in Mousehole. We had loaded fries, sausage/cheese sandwich and cakes for lunch - all very tasty. Nice seating inside and extensive outside seating for when the weather is good. Just a shame it hasn't been open for longer in the summer.

We got Bishops to provide catering service for an office social. The food was very well received and great value (we went for package C). Shaun was very friendly and organised when we were making the plan. I would recommend Bishops to anyone and I’m sure we will be getting them again for an office social in the future. The mutton curry, Escovitch fish and dumplings were the firm favourites of a selection of very good food! Food provided was Halal and had vegetarian options.

Ahh what a lovely place to go for a last day breakfast. Hot tasty locally sourced food and very reasonably priced👍 Hubby & eldest had a full English, the other son had huge bacon bap whilst l plumped for mushrooms/beans on brown toast all 👍👍👍. Lots of choice and takeaway offered can't wait to return for our May visit.

Really tasty Crab sandwiches. We were looking for a light lunch and the crab sandwiches were perfect for a quick lunchtime treat . Great service and super friendly staff & lots of interesting dishes on the menu . Great selection of Teas Will definitely come back soon
