Shaun and co, catered our surprise 25th Anniversary party 19th October. So glad my daughter booked them. Everyone, told us how much they enjoyed the food. Even now they still talk about it. Food was great. Set the bar high. Thank you very much. 😊

If you’re craving delicious Caribbean in Sheffield, look no further than Bishops Caribbean. I recently ordered from here and it was hands down one of the best takeaway experiences I’ve had in a long while!

On holidays has the burger and chips was alright wouldn’t say amazing wasn’t terrible mediocre.

First time trying jamaican food and I really wanted it to be good. Delivery driver was very nice and friendly. I did not enjoy the food which was very dry and lukewarm. Surely rice and peas should have more than 6 kidney beans in a portion? Also, you forgot my drink. If this is jamaican food I don't see what the fuss is all about.

We got the meal for 2 last night and it was so good. Perfect spice level on the jerk amd the meat fell off the bone, tender mutton and plenty of sides. Delivery was on time through Ubereats.

Was absolutely gobsmacked at the way the wings fell apart from the bone. the mutton curry was bang on also, and the sweet dumplings made it 100% better . SO ITS A YES FROM ME ❤️ I WILL BE BACK SOON!❤️

3rd delivery from here and wow delicious went a little different from my usual chicken dish and had a fish dish, great size portion and it was just Devine , the prices are always great too , I don’t have take away often , but if I do I always opt for here

Literally nothing like oxtail stew, rice and peas and two dumplings to set you up. Perfect Comfort food! Can't rate the atmosphere as I ordered delivery, but I can say whether it's Shaun or someone else delivering they are always smiling and polite and most importantly, on time!!

Another lovely meal and great service from Bishops Caribbean bistro. We ordered 3 chickens ( 1 lemon , 1 Garlic & 1 jerk ) for 10 of us for a family get together for Father’s Day. The chickens were all large and beautifully cooked , there was plenty left over to make sandwiches for the following day. Thank you Shaun & the team x

Order from here on a regular basis and never had a bad meal, amazing flavours and value Had Father’s Day lamb and it fell off the bone, came with perfectly cooked veg and potatoes, amazing as usual

Just had the Sunday chicken meal deal 5. Got a whole roasted chicken, stuffed with seasoned rice, peas & sweetcorn, and steamed cabbage in a big tray. Served with a tray with roasted potatoes, a tray of coleslaw, a big tub of salad, couple of takeaway trays of gravy and a pot of hot mango dip, for £27. Plenty enough for 4 people. Loved the roast potatoes. I thought it would be kidney beans, but it was rice n garden peas, with sweetcorn (still really nice) We had the jerk flavour, but they do other flavours. Best Johnny cakes I think I've ever had. Tried the mutton curry, the brown stew chicken, now this. Ohh my days, delicious. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

Love the food from here, Shaun cooks the most amazing food, the Sunday dinner jerk chicken can feed 4-5 people I’d say and every meal we’ve had from here has been spot on.

Went and got 2 grab and go meals from here and a jalapeño dumpling. My son had the jerk chicken, which I tried (nice) I had curried mutton (very nice) both came with I bit of plantain and a vegan Johnny cake. My wife popped in while I sat in car, she said they had bit of reggae playing inside the shop. Don't tell my dad, but I think the vegan dumpling is better than what I grew up eating. The portion was good but maybe another piece of plantain or bit of cabbage. I think they do sides though, but when I get a meal, I expect plantain and cabbage. That said, I will be back and definitely recommend.

Wonderful comforting food. My eyes were bigger than my belly tonight and I struggled to finish the curry and rice alone! Got leftovers for tomorrow too, so good value for money. I will definitely be back, loved it!

Orded food for pickup tonight! No problem with ordering and picking up great service! Slight issue with the portion size, the taste was great but if your paying £16 for a meal you have got to get value for your money! Unfortunately that's not the case here!

Lovely food best dumplings I have ever had

Absolutely love this place . The food is second to none . The service is excellent. The best Caribbean food by far . The staff are all wonderful amazing people. You’d be hard pressed finding anywhere better than this . The food is the best you’re ever gonna taste .. The bistro is definitely 💯 hidden gem . Love everything about this place.

Picked up a takeaway Saturday evening. Had the chicken and mutton sharer. We haven’t been here for ages as is a bit out of our way but food is still as good as ever. The mutton curry is my favourite. The menu seems to have increased in size, and the shop is just a takeaway bar now and not a sit down restaurant. But food is still very tasty and worthy of a visit if you like something a bit different.

Delivery estimate 19:25 to 19:45. Arrived at 8:20 freezing cold. Food was very fatty. Really disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend

Given this place too many chances, everytime we order something is wrong, the dumplings are always rock solid and today they were black and hard like coal, the mac n cheese is literally just pasta and cheese on top, there's no sauce on it, I like spicy food but it's all overly spicy to the point where its inedible, you don't even sell akee and saltfish anymore, what happened? Did you get a new chef? I've ordered for years it used to be good but it's horrible now, I refuse to wast anymore money here

Had the Sunday special whole chicken deal - it was absolutely delicious and excellent value for money. Will definitely be returning.

The service I received through Just Eat was great. The meal from Bishops Bistro was lovely, tasty and good quality though the Chickpea Curry was too dry due to hardly any sauce over it which did reduce some of the enjoyment.

Need to start by saying we've eaten from here many many times and ate in when you was able from day one. NEVER complained about anything - food, telephone order, service in general, delivery - nothing. But this time I didnt enjoy the experience as much as i would have normally. Telephone order great. Needed for 8 ish or slightly after but arrived at 7.40 which wasn't brilliant on this occasion . The guy who brought the food needs to work on his people skills, I found him quite blunt and rude. The food was hot, and we ate it all but I did find the mutton curry quite bland this time. We would obviously use again because this is the first time since it opened things wernt 110% and I find myself writing a slightly negative comment instead of a positive one which i do do. Sorry Shaun, only being honest

Incredible food. So much flavour and all the right spice. Perfect in every way. Amazing service when we collect and also friendly staff when delivered to our house. Would highly recommend as long as it doesn’t slow down us getting our order 😀

Jerk chicken and curry chicken with dumplings and hot wings are our go too. Very good with good portions. Couldn't 5 star the service as drinks have been forgotten (noticed when unbagging) a few times... I'm too trusting 🤷🏿‍♂️🤣. Highly recommended though.

As always Bishops Caribbean did not fail to satisfy! We ordered Oxtail, coleslaw, rice & peas and fried dumplings! The oxtail was succulent and flavoursome with just the right amount of gravy... And the dumplings were to die for! Bishops definetly do the best fried dumplings in Sheffield.Looking forward to making my way through the menu next time I'm having the Island Spuced Fish! Highly recommend to all :)

Been going there years, food is always delicious and they never forget any of what you’ve ordered. Fave dish is mutton curry. And would recommend mango cheesecake for dessert.

My favourite takeaway in Sheffield! Consistently great quality food, good portion sizes and genuinely lovely staff. My favourites are the jerk chicken, oxtail stew and brown chicken stew.

Food is amazing.Only downside- they need to relocate closer to me :) well worth the long drive though.

The dirty loaded fries are exactly that... dirty and loaded, just the way I like them. The amount of chicken could be a bit more generous but the flavour is phenomenal. Next time we are going to get the loaded fries and some chicken to split between the two of us. If you can collect I would recommend it as you get a 10% discount. Gone off ordering via Just Eat et al as the surcharge the restaurants have to put on along with the service fees add on at least 7 quid (not picking on Bishops Carribbean here, it is just the way it is

Best takeaway in Sheffield by a country mile, the veggie options are amazing - we always get the chickpea curry and lots of different sides. Awesome!

We ordered food to cater for a party of 40 + and the food was amazing. Lots of the guests took menu fliers home with them and everyone commented on the quality and how delicious it all was. We felt like we had given everyone a real treat. The food was served in warming dishes and very helpfully the team left takeaway cartons, not that there was much left to take away!

We've had a few deliveries from Bishops and have never been disappointed. Tend to go for the meal deal with the Mutton Curry which is cooked to perfection. Always enough for breakfast the next day!! Staff are always pleasant and efficient. Food is so good I would be prepared to wait for however long it might take.

I was a loyal customer here for years. But after waiting 1.5 hours for a delivery, I asked for a refund, having to drive to the premises because telephone was permanently engaged. Service was poor - no updates on delivery times. not really bothered. And nothing done to make amends. Not a nice experience

I've just had the buss up box (chicken), mutton curry, some chips and mac and cheese delivered. It was all DELICIOUS and you can tell it is proper, well made food. I'll be visiting for a sit down meal soon.

Ordered from here loads of times and the food is always amazing. The saltfish and dumplings and the escovitch are both especially good.

We were treated to lamb shanks with gravy, herb potatoes and a medley of seasonal vegetables (Special Order). The lamb shanks were tender and juicy, the vegetables and potatoes were roasted to perfection. The gravy was delicious and complimented the lamb beautifully. If you're in the area check them out for Take Away and deliveries. Awesome attention to detail and great customer service.

Fast friendly delivery with plentiful tasty food. Dumplings to die for!

I ordered this evening for the first time on delivery. Crazy to think that this place is local but I’ve not ordered before. I ordered cabbage, rice and peas, chickpea and potato curry & dumplings. The order was delivered quickly by a friendly smiling face and the food was plentiful. I thought I’d split the order into two portions and have the rest another day. Well that idea went out of the window as I went back and finished the lot. The dumplings!! I could literally eat a bag full. Will definitely be back. Please make a vegan dessert. I’ve got a real sweet tooth and the menu would be perfect with a sweet addition.
