The Apple Tree Cafe in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Great fully plant-based menu - appears to be same/similar to Orange in Mousehole. We had loaded fries, sausage/cheese sandwich and cakes for lunch - all very tasty. Nice seating inside and extensive outside seating for when the weather is good. Just a shame it hasn't been open for longer in the summer.

You are guaranteed a warm welcome and delicious food at the Apple Tree cafe at Trevescan near Sennen. Very comfortable chesterfield sofas, a log burner and a large outside sitting are make a visit to Apple tree cafe a must. A homely friendly cafe with good food. Dogs welcome.

We were driving to Lands End and saw that the cafes there didn’t have such good reviews on Google. Apple Tree Cafe did so we decided to try it out. And we were not disappointed. Excellent vegan options for breakfast, great coffee, nice service - it was perfect. Pity the weather was rainy since the garden outside looked lovely to sit in.

Stumbled across the Apple tree after the lands end park run. What an amazing find. All plant based (although they are currently also offering cows milk in drinks if wanted) which is great by us. Deliciously homemade and a small but desirable menu. Would definitely go and again and delighted to support such a cool little enterprise x

We were at Lands End parkrun and the restaurant was recommended to us for breakfast. We didn't realise the menu was completely plant plant based but the scrambled tofu Shakshouka was great, as was the yoghurt and granola.

What an amazing place! All of the food was fantastic and the staff were so lovely and welcoming. What a refreshing. Change to be able to order from the whole menu, if you love food, whether you are veggie/vegan or not you should eat here.

We were out visiting friends and stumbled across this cafe. You have to look carefully to find The Apple Tree, but it is worth the effort. As it was mid afternoon I had a cream tea - the scones & jam were home made and were delicious. I will be making the effort to return for lunch there soon as the menu looks amazing.

We didn't realise this was a vegetarian place but that's not a problem even though we are carnivores. Far too many vegetarian restaurants stuff "we are vegetarian" down your throat without providing anything decent to eat. We came across this fab spot by chance and had great coffee and sandwiches so made a point of returning 2 days later on a trip to Lands End (where the choice of coffee and food is appalling!) for coffee and cake. Whatever you want to eat, it's very good, very fresh and served with a smile and genuinely hospitality. I just wish it were local, not 200 miles from home!!!

We came for a cream tea and weren’t disappointed! The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and attentive and the cream teas were incredible! Warm scones with delicious jam and clotted cream alongside some lovely coffees and teas! Would absolutely recommend to anyone coming near Lands end!

A cosy haven with beautiful healthy food, good coffee, and a chilled place-like-home vibe. Lots of natural light, wood floors, leafy outlook, comfy sofas, relaxed low-key gentle music at a soft volume. People who care. Took the bus from Porthcurno & fast became my daily retreat.

Staff were incredibly friendly, very charming and welcoming and the service, despite it being very busy, was superb. I'm not vegan but there was a lot of good choice on offer and it was delicious. Would go back again!

Currently a vegan cafe. Visited 7 year's ago under previous owners. Nice selection for breakfast and hey make their own bread. Nice touch. The car park can be limited during busy times, so it's advisable to arrive early during busy periods.

Vi tog dagens sallad som var supergod och fräsch. En hamburgare som också smakade jättegott. Dagens soppa var lite smaklös men gott och hembakat bröd till. Allting känns vällagat från grunden. Skulle absolut återvända!

We came in just before closing time, but we could still have a drink and cake, to re-energise after a long walk. Lovely people and a cute garden with the most beautiful blue 💙 hydrangea I've ever seen. The chocolate and lemon cakes we had were absolutely delicious 🤤 definitely recommend!

We called in expecting to have our usual type of lunch but, as the sign outside didn’t say ‘vegan’, we didn’t know until we read the menu. Rather than move on we ordered a Mediterranean vegetable ciabatta which was quite good. We also picked at a portion of fries. We probably won’t return but nonetheless it wasn’t too bad. We prefer what we prefer and it’s meat. The staff were really nice.

We found this Cafe on our walk today, was only going to come in for a drink and a scone but ended up eating lunch. The server was really lovely - as were the rest of the staff. The food was very tasty too! We had the soup of the day, loaded chips and the burger. Would recommend to anyone in the area :)

Brilliant find for lunch just before our visit to lands end. All the food was fresh, home made and delicious. Spicy butternut squash soup with sour dough bread, loaded fries with lovely fresh toppings and a roasted veg panini. Friendly and welcoming staff. Thank you.

What a craphole this has turned into! After going there for years to eat a healthy, normal breakfast (real bacon, eggs, real sausages, toast and stuff) we now were disgusted to learn that this place have now gone vegan in a very quiet backward way, peddling their plant based plastic poisonous crap. Already struggling to stay open in a farming community of people that eat normal oldschool food, the place is now empty because they have decided to transverse to plastic food for the odd hippy or two that stumble into the place. Driving tourists and locals away in droves. I WILL NEVER EVER come close to this place again out of principle, or spend a single penny there. All the signs outside trick you with “Come In”, and “We are Open” but zero about : “We sell plant based nonsense” that they try and shove down unexpected people’s throats. Fool me once…shame on me!! They will go under because on this, meaning they will cease to exist.

What a great find just off the main Sennen/ lands end road. Lovely welcome by all the staff and the building is lovely. Great choice of goodies and main menu. Couldn’t recommend more for a find that you may not spot if you head to the usual at Sennen or Lands end it’s self. Definitely worth a stop at anytime. Just another great independent cafe in the wonderful West.

Went in there to have lunch and came to realise its vegetarian/vegan. Greatly disappointed as there was no meat. No display anywhere that we could find outside that this cafe was vegan. The family sitting next to s was also sharing their disappointment. Very expensive as for 2 vegan burger, 1scones with jam and cream, 1 kombucha all cost around £45.00. Shame. Please Display clearly outside that this is a vegan shop.

We found this beautiful cafe by accident on our way back from a clifftop walk from Lands End to Nanjizal. So glad we stopped, for the home cooked food was sublime and the service lovely. The twist added to the cheesy chips was a stroke of genius and we cannot recommend them enough... and the sausage and caramelised onion ciabatta beautiful. This is how food should be served, clearly prepared with love and perfectly executed. Cannot rate this place high enough.

It's easy to drive past this wonderful cafe as its quite hidden. Luckily we spotted if and ducked in for something to eat. It's a really nice, chilled out space with very welcoming and friendly staff. We had scones and cream with hot drinks. Scones were so tasty and fresh, having been cooked on the premises. Flatwhite excellent, thank you, it was a very nice place to visit and eat.

Such a lovely spot to eat lunch. You can sit inside on comfy sofas or outside in the sun. Being a vegan I was overjoyed to be able to choose anything from the menu. Definitely recommend the loaded fries. So friendly

Excellent vegan cafe with lots of food choices. We had the Celtic Breakfast (similar to a full English) and the marinated tofu ciabatta sandwich, both of which hit the spot wonderfully. It's clear that care and thought is put into the food here, with key home-made items (vegan bacon, tofu scrambles or marinades) being the cornerstone of each dish. Plus the interior and garden are very nicely decorated and cosy. They do a decent coffee too!

AMAZING plant-based food!! We went to The Apple Tree everyday of our holiday because we wanted to try everything on the menu. It was all so delicious and freshly prepared. Staff were extremely friendly, warm and welcoming; even catering for our little pooch. I couldn't recommend The Apple Tree anymore! Thank you for the inspiration for our cooking at home too. We will 100% visit again when we're back in Cornwall.

This is such a lovely cafe/restaurant - the food is homemade and delicious - I had a really tasty Mediterranean tart/salad and slaw - very yummy!! - will definitely be returning (hubby had a sausage/onion ciabatta sandwich and that was excellent too). It’s very reasonably priced, the staff are incredibly friendly, the food is fab and the decor in the cafe along with a lovely garden are both great - a hidden gem within easy-walking distance of Land’s End.

We actually did a foraging course which was hosted by a third party at this cafe, so didn't get to try their food unfortunately. However, the service was amazing and the lady owner (whose name escapes me) was so friendly. She is a vegan and so I'm sure they have some excellent vegan options. Would definitely recommend for a quick stop off if you're in the area!

Lovely off the beaten track cafe only 1 mile from the very ordinary Lands End complex. Unlicensed but excellent food and friendly local atmosphere.

Walked a considerable distance to go to this highly rated café. Closed on 4/2/23. Note on door says closed until mid February, despite website saying only closed in January. Another couple we met a few minutes later were also lost customers.

We decided on a last minute night away in Cornwall, what I didn't remember was that many places to eat close for the Winter months, not this lovely café. After visiting lands end with 2 hungry cold kids in tow we stumbled across Apple Tree Café. As a vegan, I couldn't believe my luck to learn they offer an entirely plant based menu. Good quality and varied choices to suit everyone and the lovely staff to top it off. I absolutely love finding little local gems like this one. Would 100% recommend and will be visiting again when we are out and about down that way.

Very pleasant plant based family lunch. Everybody enjoyed their choice of dish, and each other’s. Friendly and attentive stack. Not the place to eat if you’re in a hurry.
