We visited Indidog on a quiet Monday morning with four people, hoping to enjoy a good vegetarian breakfast based on the online reviews. Unfortunately, the experience really didn’t live up to expectations. The vegetarian breakfast was underwhelming — lacking flavour, creativity, and even basic elements like butter (which only arrived five minutes later, after we asked for it — and we were more of less the only guests at the time). Nothing on the plate stood out, and we all left quite disappointed. The location is nice, and the waitress was friendly, but unfortunately the service was slow despite the empty restaurant, which didn’t help. I’ve been hesitant to write this review for a while, as I wanted to be fair and give it time to reflect. However, after sharing our experience with others in Falmouth, we kept hearing the same thing: “Indidog is just pretty overrated.” The online reviews suggest a much higher standard than what we encountered, and that mismatch is why I feel it’s important to share our experience. Of course, every place can have an off day — but our visit left us feeling like we simply made the wrong choice. I hope this feedback is helpful to others looking for a genuinely good breakfast spot in Falmouth.

Went with parents for a mid week lunch so wasn’t busy and got a table on front of restaurant with harbour front view. View is great but the tables at back probably can’t see much of it so bear this in mind if going at a busy time. Small outdoor terrace as well with heaters but was too cold on the day we went to try out. Food menu small but everything we had (fish of the day, fish finger sandwich, truffle fries ) was good, also good selection of drinks / cocktails / non alcoholic drinks. Waiters helpful and friendly and not rushed at all. Would recommend and would like to try dinner in the future which has more options.

It's hard to hit an honest 5 stars but this place really deserves it. The taste is outstanding and the chef, Alfie, makes such incredible food that this is the nicest restaurant I have ever been to. It is on the pricey side however (perhaps other than the fries at £6) it is definitely worth it. On the tip side they don't force your either and provide the option of a tip which is nice. The view is also amazing as well and they catered well to a nut allergy.

Booked in here for a table for 2 with a request for a window seat. It was explained when booking that everyone makes this request however, it was noted that they would try their best. On arrival we were informed no front of house seats were available and we were shown to the rear area where we chose the best table in our opinion that had a bit of a view. Service was a bit slow in taking the drinks order but we made allowances for the fact that the restaurant was extremely busy. We ordered our meal but before doing so we were a little surprised to see that a couple who came in just after us was shortly shown to a window seat table. I convinced myself that there must be a good reason for this and tried to enjoy our evening. We received our starter (tasty but average) and I commented to my hubby that now 5 tables in the window area were free. However, assuming that once a table was allocated that was that. To our utter amazement the couple next to us who had also had a starter were shown to a window table then the table after that the same! Our main arrived and I complained to the lovely waitress who said she'd mention to the manager. I was furious, it made my meal difficult to swallow! After our irons were down the manager approached to say she was sorry but she didn't want to disrupt our meal by offering us a window seat!! Seemingly though, she cared enough to disturb the six other guests who she moved! She kept apologising which frankly meant nothing as by now our evening was ruined. I had to ask if she would at least take off a couple of drinks! Lovely view but seemingly only for the chosen few! Food was average but pricey and clearly the management leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn't bother, there's plenty more restaurants who are happy to have your business. This is a glorified canteen with a fast turn over of punters who are paying top dollar for average food. Nice waiting staff though who we did compliment at the time.

The guy who claimed to be the owner (Simon) was so rude to me and my wife, on arrival Simon said there was no drinks left and the restaurant was full. So we waited in the entrance area, and my wife walks over to the bar to get a drink, which offended Simon as we didn’t wait until after being seated to get drinks. However when he reluctantly gave us a table Simon got angry at my wife for standing up while listening to then clapping for the live music that was being performed at that time. After about 35-40 minutes we tried ordering another drink Simon didn’t allow us to order, saying “it was too close 6pm when people who booked tables were coming” Then he asked us to leave about 50 minutes after sitting down because we hadn’t booked a table, then we saw some people we knew on one of the tables across from us, the told us that they hadn’t booked, but they weren’t being asked to leave of being spoken to rudely! Why the double standard, probably because my wife is Asian, my daughter is mixed and Simon is Racist!!!!!! Sadly this is the only logical conclusion.

We also tried the salt baked celeriac and could easily have eat a large portion of this, definitely worth trying! A 5 star eating and dining experience from start to finish. We were staying locally at St Michaels resort looking for a place to eat other than on the resort itself. We saw the website which looked great, so it made the shortlist. We didn’t realise Indidog was so close to the parking, so we jumped out the car almost straight in the door, so popped in to see if they had spare tables. We were greeted by Alex, who immediately made us feel welcome and provided us with everything we needed to know about specials etc (which not only sounded delicious, actually were!) and we were served by Will throughout the evening. This is where it goes from good to great. The food is truly amazing and needs to be tried to be believed. 1 of uf is coeliac, which can always be a gamble when eating out. We needn’t have worried. There were plenty of highly tasty options available and Will was extremely good at putting our minds at ease. We do like to try out cocktails and mocktails. Tonight was a non-drinking night, so it was mocktails. Not only were they delicious, they weren’t overpriced and were cheaper than their alcoholic siblings, which if so often not the case. We were super impressed from start to finish. The staff we amazing, the food truly delicious and the drinks tasty. What’s not to love? We will definitely be back. This is 1 not to miss!

We had the most fabulous festive afternoon, we wanted to say a massive thanks to the whole Indidog team who worked so incredibly hard trying their best to fit in the number of people who wanted to enjoy the vibe and hear the fabulous Falmouth Gospel Choir. As soon as we saw that you were holding this event we booked a table to eat for mid afternoon. The Festive Menu was absolutely gorgeous, one of the best eating out Christmas Turkey meals we have had. Even though it was super busy the whole team worked their socks off, weaving through the people with drinks and a smile. We were sat directly behind the couple who have just posted a review and we wanted to share our experience. We were in the restaurant from 2.30 and as it started to fill up people were allowed to stand in certain places and as soon as tables were available they were, in turn, directed to a seat. The couple in front of of us were seated and the lady decided to stand, for a lot of the time she was stood directly in front of our table which meant that my elderly mum couldn’t see anything. We chose not to say anything as we wanted to focus on the lovely music and vibe. To our right was a large table of people and we heard Simon explain that they would need to vacate the table as it was booked from 6.00. The waitress also explained this to us when we ordered our last round of drinks. We could hear Simon explaining to the couple in front of us that the table was booked from 6.00, and this is why no more orders etc could be taken, we heard the whole conversation and it was clear that despite the perfectly reasonable explanation the lady was not at all happy with what she was hearing. It was really sad as it was the Choirs last song and the theme was all about peace and understanding. I wanted to share this perspective as I feel the purpose of a review is to share what you experienced and what I saw was a team working incredibly hard to accommodate as many people as they could whilst balancing the needs of customers that have booked for the evening service.

Placing an order was a little delayed but to be I guess expected this time of year and in a Sunday There was a slight down side although the meal was nice I found (both myself & partner and also witnessed from other tables) that maybe the cutlery more specific the knives weren’t adequate and rather blunt, we fund ourselves having to break Yorkshire puddings and pull the beef apart into bite sizes pieces rather than cut …. As I say I wasn’t the only one and made for at times awkward moments hoping that the found didn’t jump off the plate… please take this as constructive review for a better experience for all Merry Christmas

Sadly on our second visit I chose the duck which was the most expensive item on the menu, but it was served in thick pieces and I couldn't get the knife to cut through it. I handed two of my pieces to my son and husband who reported that it was quite chewy. Just such a disappointment. For me it would have been better served in thinner slices with a few more exciting vegetables as the turnips were a bit boring. I had high hopes for this restaurant, given its glowing reviews and beautiful harbourside setting, but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the expectations. The service was a highlight—our servers were friendly, polite, and the attention to detail in the decor and ambiance was impressive. However, the quality of the food left much to be desired. When my partner asked about the side dishes, specifically the aioli fries, the server reassured us that "all the mains are complete meals." At £28 for the duck, that seemed reasonable. However, after a lengthy wait (though understandable with the large number of covers and only four staff visible in the kitchen), what arrived didn’t feel like a complete meal. The dish consisted of just a few small cubes of turnip, a wilted vegetable, and three thin slices of duck, with no substantial carb element. While the presentation was visually appealing, the flavor was underwhelming. The hoisin sauce was the one bright spot, but the dish leaned heavily on it to compensate for the blandness of everything else. Frankly, I’ve had far better duck dishes at local pubs for a fraction of the price. My partner’s fish of the day was similarly bland and uninspiring, which prompted us to skip dessert altogether and leave. I can honestly say it was one of the least memorable meals I've had in Falmouth, especially when compared to the excellent offerings from places like Star & Garter, Restaurant MINE and Windjammer. That said, the restaurant’s positive reviews suggest many people have had a better experience than we did. Perhaps it’s an unfair comparison as we recently dined at the Ugly Butterfly, which set a much higher bar.

A great menu with some interesting courses and beautifully presented - thank you chef! We were there for our daughter’s graduation dinner - a perfect choice for somewhere special. Dogs are welcome (and fussed over).

Stylish, modern dining room with open kitchen, directly on the harbour in Falmouth. The brunch menu offers something for everyone, from breakfast sandwiches to pancakes to various 'benedicts', along with seasonal specials. We decided on Eggs Royale, Kedgeree, steak & eggs, and the wild mushrooms on toast. Cocktails, mocktails, and good coffee accompany your meal. We sampled a couple of versions of a Bloody Mary, a Virgin Mary, and a mimosa, as well as flat whites and Americanos. The food, the drinks, and the service were both excellent. Highly recommended.

Fantastic seafood but vegetarians and vegans should avoid as their options are an afterthought; the baked courgette is a bit of a joke, especially for £18.50. the staff are friendly and the location is fantastic.

Fantastic Dining Experience. We had an excellent meal after arriving without a booking and were delighted by the exceptional customer service. A lovely girl warmly seated us with our dog, Poppy and we couldn’t believe what a beautiful setting it was that welcomed dogs. We mentioned that we had just gotten married and the girl kindly congratulated us. Shortly after being seated, a kind gentleman greeted us, said hello to Poppy, and made us feel very welcome. To our surprise, we were treated to two complimentary glasses of champagne, which made the evening even more special. We couldn’t have felt more welcomed and appreciated. We will definitely return and highly recommend this place. Thank you for making our evening so memorable! Lucie and Jacob

Lovely setting for brunch. Had the pancake stack which was nice and my gf had the fish finger sandwich which was amazing. I think timing your visit so you can sit in the sun and look over the harbour is a must but sadly sunshine is something out of the IndiDogs control

We have regularly been to this venue A first choice to take friends and colleagues The individual stars are based on this but.. A noticeable increase in prices over the summer A reduction in the size and no of fish portions Plus we booked a table at 1 pm at 10 am that was confirmed on the phone When we arrived at the correct time we were told it was a late booking which is why it wasn’t in the book !! Manager talked the talk but ultimately was disappointing experience !! Lovely venue and staff but now becoming an expensive treat when other local venues offer more !!

Well what a lovely evening that was. Great table with a view across the harbour. Slick and friendly staff. Delightful small menu, our choices were perfect. Delicious duck, sweet scallops, tasty cod katsu, desserts that melted in your mouth. A nice selection of wines and the bonus the staff didn't forget my ice. Thank you. Would we recommend, whole heartedly. The icing on the cake is that well behaved dogs are welcome. Don't miss out in this gem.

Called here again on holiday after a great experience last year. It was just as good. Great food and service. We booked a dog friendly table and they are well catered for families with dogs, even having a dog menu! You won't be disappointed if you call here.
