Indidog Eatery On The Harbour in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

A nice location and views. Food was good (a fish finger sandwich, and some scallops), chips a bit over salty, and scallops lacked in wild garlic, but generally good. Let down by service, we were initially forgotten on the table outside, then food took half an hour for two relatively simple dishes. Would go again, but not if pressed for time.

Popped in on a whim one Thurs evening, absolutely loved it. We were greeted with warmth by a lovely host, and given a table overlooking the harbour. The menu was small but perfectly formed: a range of dishes but not too many, so they can focus on quality - and it shows. The food was excellent, beautifully presented with creativity and passion apparent from the kitchen. Wine was carefully selected and delicious without exception. Highly recommend this gem in Falmouth.

We went for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we were treated to a complimentary glass of bubbly each which was a lovely welcome thankyou. The food and cocktails were great as was the service, the place was clean and bright and has a super view. We would highly recommend this venue and hope to return soon. There is even a car park close by.

Late update to a quick 5 star review on the go... Had a lovely pre-christmas meal here back in December. Food was good, drinks on point, but the general atmosphere, venue setup and attentiveness / interaction with staff was great too. Will eat here again and hopefully when the weather improves so can enjoy the views in the sun

A delightful eatery!! Amazing views, food and service all year round. The menu compliments the seasons with local produce, the fish dishes especially are beautifully presented and taste as good as they look (personal favourites of ours!). The Sunday roasts and brunch menus are amazing also, full of flavour and really filling! Its so nice to see a restaurant offering fresh local produce, this is why we are regulars !! The service is exceptional too, all the staff are friendly and welcoming, we can bring our little dog too. Highly recommended if you havent already visited!!

It was such a lovely place and very welcoming. Even though only had drinks. We had our dogs with us and had the choice to go inside . We chose to sit outside under the heaters overlooking the water.

Couldn’t have been more impressed! Visited while on holiday and food was amazing but also incredible service. Lovely views so sat outside but staff were so helpful when it started raining and helped us inside. Very dog friendly and would definitely recommend!

Good atmosphere, really attentive staff, good food although not the biggest portions but made up by being really flavoursome. Would we go back, yes especially with the great view out onto the harbour through the floor to ceiling wall.

What a gem! We found this spot for lunch on a trip to Falmouth and it’s practically perfect in every way. The decor is excellent, super stylish and the seating was well spaced and comfortable. We had a light lunch of soup, hummus and fishcakes with wine. Excellent service and reasonable prices. This will be our go to lunch spot when we come back.

Had booked a dinner on a wet evening and were immediately cheered up by the vibrant atmosphere and warm welcome. As requested we sat near the kitchen which we love to do. The service was outstanding and there was a good walk be lost. The menu was short but interesting. Between us we had the scallop and prawn starters, the duck, the roasted cauliflower then an excellent local cheese and a sticky pudding. Everything was delicious. Reasonably priced and a great experience in every way.

Lovely lovely lovely! We found this place last year when visiting Cornwall, but unfortunately did not have time to visit. How glad we were to visit again and try out this place. The food was good, absolutely nothing to fault. The lamb starter was delicious, and the duck main was cooked perfectly. My partner's favourite was the monkfish tail on the surf and turf. The staff were very accommodating of dietary requirements and the menu reflects what can be made/adjusted to suit. The staff, all so lush, made the experience even better! I wish we lived closer.

Great quality food and good service. We had the £20 lunch menu, 2 courses including a glass of wine. Really great food, we had the onion soup to start and then the pork with kimchi (delicious) and the fish cakes. Given it was a Wednesday lunch time in February, service was great, we had a lovely table overlooking the harbour. Would definitely go back

We all chose the ‘fish of the day’ off a very limited menu which was described as - fillet of Cornish fish, leek chowder, smoked haddock & mussels, caper & herb crust. The food arrived in a small bowl with no evidence of any chowder, there was a little sauce without any leeks evident which sat under a very nice piece of well cooked fish. There was no evidence of any haddock and only three very small mussels (without shells) sat in the sauce. The caper and herb crust sat on top of the fish. A young waitress asked us how our meal was and we said that the fish was lovely but we were extremely disappointed with the portion size and distinct lack of chowder. We also asked her why we had not been told about the specials which we only saw written on the wall at a distance after we had our food. The waitress said we don’t tell customers until they order and we said we weren’t told! She disappeared and came back again saying that the chef offered to let us have some potatoes with it, we politely reminded her that we ordered fish and expected fish and chowder and not potatoes. We were told that the restaurant delivered quality food not quantity and we said that for the £23 we were paying for each small dish it was not value for money nor as described. We told her that we had lunch there last year which was very good with decent portions and why we had returned. The waitress left and we shortly after requested and paid the bill and left the restaurant and went home to eat as we were starving. Extremely disappointing and very young inexperienced staff (students?) who were clueless. We were a table of 3 sat on a table for 4, when we first sat down the waitress cleared the place setting and wine glass from in front of me and left the place setting opposite me at the empty chair, I had to move it all across myself! We asked for a spoon when the meal was being served, expecting it to be used for the chowder and she placed one at my husband’s place mat and haphazardly placed one near to each side of my place mat and failed to give one to my daughter! We just looked at each other in disbelief and watched her return to the desk and pick up her phone. Says it all really. We are locals, eat out all the time and this was the worst experience for a considerable amount of time.

Wonderful dinner and great service (did not get the name by the lady with the blue hair! very professional and friendly). All food was top notch, from the bread to the scallops to the surf and turf and chocolate torte. Great wine too.

Perfect Sunday roast and excellent service . We all thought it was exceptional . Superb beef and the Yorkshire puddings and gravy were full of flavour. We were also blessed with a table overlooking the sea .

We very much enjoyed the food here. The quality was excellent and the dish we had very unusual and very fresh. The chefs are very talented and the restaurant packed so it was clear how hard the kitchen was working and working well (the kitchen is on view) as everything came out perfect. The portion sizes are not huge but the value is there in the quality. We had a bit of a long wait between courses but to be fair the restaurant was busy and we weren't in a rush so 2.5 hours for 3 courses was fine. The ambience of the restaurant is very nice. The only let down was the service. There seemed to be several people serving us but nobody looking after us. I hope Indidog can address this going forward.

Wow. Just wow. What a place, the staff, the food and the ambiance! Went for dinner with my wife for Valentines - it was amazing. I’m a coeliac and they catered for me. It was amazing!!

Had a lovely evening, the staff were really friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was great and had a nice cosy table. The food was just lush, and really tasted perfect. Had a really exciting combination of prawns with kimchi flavours as starters, I didn't even know the two worked so well. The prawns were perfectly done, tasted fresh. The main was just as good, the pork melted in my mouth. Topped with some cocktails I had a great night. If I had to be a little fussy I only wished there had been a bigger portion for the main, but that's maybe due to me being greedy, it was delicious. Thank you

Staff were lovely! Great service and the food was very tasty.. however I was left disappointed by the portion sizes, pretty pricey too! I ordered the surf and turf (£33 special) thinking it would be epic, when it came I couldn’t help but think “where’s the rest’o yerr!?” Subsequently went home hungry. I wouldn’t recommend you want a hearty meal washed down with a meaty craft ale.

We enjoyed our lunch at Indidog. The service team were friendly and welcoming and very efficient. The food was excellent. A great experience, we will be back when next in Falmouth.

What an amazing Sunday Roast ! We started with a couple of the most delicious spicy bloody Mary’s and followed it up with the fantastic belly pork which was accompanied by scrummy seasonal veg and crispy roasties ….and because of the special offer we squeezed in a sticky toffee pudding for £5 ! Best roast, best value, best drinks and best staff !

Now, I don't often hive 5 stars, but honestly, I think IndiDog has earned this award on this occasion. From a warm and friendly welcome through fairly fast drinks service and good food being served, along with friendly owners/managers being on site along with their equally attentive and friendly staff, it seems right. Negatives: the only one I could find was a urinal was out of order in the gentleman's toilet. I, of course, don't know how long it's been in this condition but focus on the fact that this us really the only negative and one I had to find rather than it just appearing. Full marks to the IndiDog team, and I look forward to calling in again.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was good and the service started out very friendly. It took a while for our appetiser to come - we didn’t mind as we weren’t in a rush, but as the mains came we were disappointed. The pork was very overcooked and dry and after we told a member of the team there was very little response from management. We eventually spoke to someone from the management team but the response felt a little defensive - by the time we had the opportunity to speak to anyone we had paid the bill, and there was little consideration for our experience as a whole (we had decided not to send the meal back as we had waited an hour and a half to get to our mains). Overall the atmosphere and service was friendly, we just felt the food itself was lacking considering the price.

What can I say? The food is amazing and service second to none. The chef is really creative and introduced us to some incredible tastes never experienced before. We are still talking about it! Strongly recommended.

Right on the front of the harbour with an amazing view. Inside is a very nice restaurant layout with good seating. We didn’t book in advance but it was pretty full when we got there. The food was amazing, we had pork belly and duck which was to die for. Service was great and atmosphere was cosy, will definitely be going again.

We’d arrived with the dogs to sit in the lovely balcony for just a drink (and perhaps nibbles!) and one of our dogs was suddenly bleeding from his nose. All ended safely in time but we wanted to thank Vanessa and her lovely team for being so helpful and understanding - it looked like a right old mess at times…We were quite worried. Needless to say recovery was aided by a couple of glasses of excellent wine…(thats me not the dog!). We will be back to eat next time - we can already vouch for the delicious food from previous visits!

Expensive, need way more vegetarian options. In this day of age there should be many vegetarian options as you wouldn’t offer a meat eater one option of meat on the menu

100% would recommend. We’ve eaten here at least 15 times and we’ve never had a bad experience. Most recently was our Christmas meal. We had the nut roast which was delightful and the Turkey roast which was cooked to perfection. The pigs in blankets are...

Not a great restaurant for vegetarian. Only one vegetarian main with a high price tag for half a cabbage which also arrived burnt.

Lovely dog-friendly dinner in a great location in Falmouth. Atmosphere was pleasant, food delicious and service excellent. It is on the pricey side but the food didn’t disappoint! Gluten free friendly too.

I have food intolerances to egg, dairy and tomatoes which make eating out difficult. I arrived last night after pre booking to find a menu that had been labeled and or adapted so I could choose from a section of choices. It made our evening so much easier and it was lovely to have choices and to not be made to feel like I was just being difficult. Thank you so much.

Lovely restaurant on the Harbourside. All the waiting team were friendly and attentive. The food was very enjoyable and delivered to our table in good time despite being busy. It was also fun to watch the chefs and team prepare and cook the food. As a bonus a cruise ship in full evening lights departed the harbour as we dined - an impressive sight. Thanks to all!

We discovered Indidog because the waitress in Pizza Express recommended it! It's a little tricky to find but if you turn right at The Grapes onto Fish Strand Quay it is tucked away with a fantastic view of the harbour. There is a narrow balcony next to the sea with about 7 or 8 small tables. The main restaurant has large sliding doors onto the balcony and if you can get a table at the front (you can't reserve them) then you can admire the view while eating. The indoor space is all open plan including the kitchen. It has a great atmosphere and you can see, hear and smell the chefs at work. Our first visit was just for a glass of wine. We spent a couple of very pleasant hours just watching the boats! We returned for lunch and had delicious food. The pork belly was amazing with a really big bowl of very crispy skinny chips. Our daughter loved the fish and chips saying it was one of the best she had eaten and better than the big fish and chip shop elsewhere in Falmouth. She had the kids fish that was doubled-up to make an adult portion. We finished with ultra-chocolatey millionaires shortbread that was a real treat. The wine list is not extensive but we found a terrific albarino. It was bit expensive at £42 /bottle but sometimes you have to pay for quality. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and the owner was very happy to stop for a chat. It is not the cheapest place in Falmouth to eat but it is defintely the best in our view. We will definitely go back next time we are in Falmouth.

I’m so sad to have to leave this review as the staff were amazing and we have had breakfast here and loved it but unfortunately our dinner here was very disappointing and with a big price tag. Firstly the mains were very expensive, very small, one of them didn’t really have much flavour and they didn’t come with sides. We ordered the side of potatoes and they were still hard and not fully cooked. It was such a shame as we were celebrating a few special occasions. A shame because breakfast was amazing here and the staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was great!

It’s difficult to overstate the quality of this restaurant. Given that the coast hosts many locations for what is effectively only pub food for tourists, this is the escape. Small menu, brilliantly cooked, fresh and unusual ingredients. We were served by the owner (Simon) on our first visit, and because it was so delicious we returned for a second. We were not disappointed. As a tinnitus sufferer I asked for the music to be turned down, which Simon did immediately. Such a charming team, including the chefs whom you can see and compliment. I’d give this 15 out of 10.

Went to INDIDOG for my anniversary meal over oyster festival weekend, good choice of availability for the table, was greeted with a warm welcome, had a glass each of prosecco on the house to celebrate, which was a great touch. The food was great, good range and amazing flavours, wait time was good. Great service. Only two negative points were music choice, was playing madness which was a bit much for a dimmed lighting mood, had a table near the kitchen and they were loud shouting orders so had to speak up for the conversation on the table. Overall very good experience and would recommend to anyone in the local area.

Very friendly staff not overly priced either in the heart of the town

We visited Indidog on a bustling Saturday night during the Falmouth Oyster Festival. To start on a positive note, the food was nothing short of outstanding, though patience was needed due to a rather lengthy wait. Regrettably, the overall experience was marred by the restaurant’s ambiance and service. Our table was inconveniently placed by the doorway, and the constant traffic in and out caused a relentless draft. This was particularly discomforting on a chilly autumn evening. Having called ahead to request a table away from the draft, I was assured by a gentleman on the phone that we would be seated in a beautiful spot. Unfortunately, this assurance wasn’t upheld. It’s evident that the broken door exacerbates the situation, as it was frequently left open by both staff and patrons. This oversight significantly impacted our dining experience. In summary, while the cuisine at Indidog is commendable, the atmosphere and service fell short of expectations. Addressing the issue with the door would greatly enhance the overall dining experience. It’s a shame that such a small detail had such a significant impact on our visit.

Perfect Food and excellent Service !!

This may well have become my favourite place. Went for an anniversary meal with my lovely wife and had an amazing evening. The food was superb. An amazing starter each with the scallops dish and the apricot and goats cheese. Then my wife had the duck which was perfectly presented and cooked. I went for the special fish of the day, Brill, which was brill!. Service was very attentive and friendly. They even asked if we wanted to move to a nicer table (ours was fine anyway) before our main as other diners had left. Finished off with some puds as well. Prices are very reasonable for this quality, no quibbles at all. A great evening and looking forward to going back again.

Very, very strange food. Olive oil, balsamic and bread appetiser okay but bread slightly stale. Scallop starter okay. Main course very poor. "Catch of the day"- cod (?) was accompanied inappropriately by potatoes blathered in some sort of tomato paste plus seriously undercooked vegetables (for which extra charges were made). We like al dente veg, but these were virtually raw. When we sent them back they were replaced by another dish of exactly the same. Why this place has a score of 4.7, I will never know.

I came here with a friend for a few drinks and to study. We were having some difficulties with the internet but all the staff were so accommodating and helpful! The drinks were also so lovely and refreshing as well as the cake we had. I couldn’t rate our experience more highly. Will definitely recommend to anyone in the future and will be coming back here for sure. The staff were so friendly the atmosphere of the place was very relaxed!

This an excellent restaurant with views across the water. The staff were friendly and efficient. The decor and atmosphere was relaxed. I really liked the open kitchen down one side of the restaurant. The real star here though is the food. It is quite simply excellent. Tasty and with proper portions. It is a little on the pricey side but it is justified by the great food. Lots of cocktails to choose from too. Will defo be going back.
