Was recommended to go to this restaurant and my family and I were pleasantly surprised. It was very near the seafront which was handy. The staff were all very welcoming. Spotlessly clean. The large portion of fish and chips was very reasonable and tasty. Would highly recommend a visit.

Read the reviews on here and decided to call in after visiting to view the lights. Everyone in our group thought the food was exceptional. We were a family group of six and we arrived about 10 minutes before closing. We didn't realise this at the time. Staff were all very welcoming and didn't seem to mind that they had to stay beyond their normal finish time. Fish was beautifully cooked and great quality, batter was incredible, and chips were the best I've ever had. I'd recommend this place to anyone. We will certainly be back.

We found this a very nice place to eat. I need gluten free food and saw that it advertised this in the window. The place was very clean and seemed well run, with a nice mix of older and younger staff ,all of whom were very pleasant. The fish and chips were excellent. The chips well cooked and not greasy, and the fish very fresh and tasty. The servings were very large and the small size better for many, I think. Although it wasn't a busy time of the year we had to wait only 5 minutes to be served in the dining room, which was very clean and neat. The staff also informed me that the condiments were also gluten free . All in all a good place ,within a few hundred meters of the South Pier and fun fair. I would certainly recommend it .

I pop in here every now and again brilliant place food fresh staff attentive. not expensive and have been coming here now for some time. They close early and I like to eat late is my only complaint.

Our family recently went to Southend-on-Sea, and it's routine to stop and get our fish snd chips, before getting the train back to London. The restaurant is always clean, and the family always welcome you with a smile. Whenever we go to the restaurant, we really enjoy the food. Delicious food and outstanding customer services.

Can not fault this place at all, as someone is has a severe gluten allergy all the staff were very accommodating, I noticed food hygiene was spot on, all the staff were very friendly and attentive, the fish you could that it was fresh, the batter was very good not too heavy and I could even have vinegar ( which is rare) when eating out. Will definitely eat here again.

Medium fish and chips was a great size, fish is massive with a light batter. Curry sauce good and chips are also tasty. All in all defintkely recommended for a good value lunch or dinner.

We went to Bentleys last week and once again it never fails to impress i had the medium fish with chips and peas my wife had the same top quality same price weather you dine in or out this were we go when we visit Blackpool.

We were craving fish & chips & saw this place so thought we'd pop in & try them. From walking in the door we were impressed with the friendliness & cleanliness of the place. Staff were super nice. The fish & chips were quite possibly the best we've ever had! Mushy peas & curry sauce were just as good. I would walk miles to come back here & we will! Thankyou for lovely service & amazing fish & chips. We will return!

Came here for tea after visiting the Sandcastle which is just a short walk away. Luckily we found seats for 8 of us despite the fact it was busy. The staff were super organised and really friendly. Our food was very freshly cooked and tasted delicious. The portion sizes were extremely generous. All in all, great value for money. They were the best fish and chips we'd had in ages.

Was here today with my family for fish and chips. Absolutely fantastic. Fresh fish and chips that were tasty. Great curry sauce too. The staff were friendly too with one asking about my football top so was good to promote Cowdenbeath Football Club. Will definitely be back next time our family are down here. Highly recommended

Fantastic food, my friends went the day before I did and said it was the best fish and chips they'd had ib a long time. I had the small fish and chips, the portion size was really generous for the price and the cod was spot on. Very busy but the staff were organised and very proffesional.

I usually struggle to eat out being a celiac, but these fish, chips and peas were absolutely delicious. Forget that over-rated place in central Blackpool and find Bentleys instead. It's tucked a little way off the Prom near the Pleasure Beach and you wouldn't know it was there unless you were a local, had been before or spotted it on TripAdvisor. Always food cooked fresh, crisp chips and tasty fish with cheerful service. Nothing flash, just a plain, clean interior providing excellent value for money. Give it the support it deserves but check the opening times first. I noted a sign in the window stating that it would be closed on two days of the week because of staff shortage. Blackpool may be crumbling but Bentleys is well worth supporting.
