The Eating Inn in Blackpool

Had a lovely meal here a few weeks ago. Staff were working hard, I hope they get the credit they deserve everyday even if they make minor errors during service.

We had the 24 oz ribeye sharer the steak was well cooked and came with chips onion rings mushrooms and tomato everything was lovely and the service was great would definitely recommend

Absolutely amazing don't waste your money on miller and carter just go here! Food was amazing my god those onion rings. Lovely atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend booking in advance as it gets very busy however staff will advise on the wait and offer to book you in as soon as a table is available. Really reasonably priced for the quality and amount of food will be recommending to anyone who will listen and will certainly be making this my restaurant of choice x

Brilliant food served by nice mannered people in a nice environment. What more do you want. The liver pate starter filled us up and we couldn't finish our main, which was delicious but bust our bellies!

We visited on 29.04.2025. It was busy but Callum managed to get me and my partner in for 8pm. Callum was amazing very helpful, funny and attentive considering how busy it was that night. Service though we were warned it would be slow was spot on and we got drinks and food well in time. We ordered the Chateaubriand steak sharing platter which came with the steak, which was some of the best, well cooked steak we have ever had, chips, perfect! Also onion rings, mushrooms and tomato. With a garlic truffles butter. Everything was so good, could not fault the food. The platter was £70 which is expected for the cut we ordered plus we had two soft drinks. Meal for two under £80 can not argue with that at all. I would definitely go again and could not praise Callum enough. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Reservamos 6 pm en un lunes por la noche encantador no demasiado ocupado a la llegada, pero estaba lo suficientemente cerca de lleno cuando nos fuimos. Llegamos con la intención de tener nuestros filetes de grasa como es normal, pero el menú de oferta de 2 platos por £ 15 o 3 por £ 20 nos distrajo. Teníamos champiñones al ajo y albóndigas para empezar y ambos tenían milanesa de pollo con chips de GRASA. Solo tomé una copa cada uno. Tomé una pinta de Cruz Campo. Mi encantadora esposa tomó un mojito de frambuesa. Sentado afuera en el área del conservatorio. Alrededores , instalaciones , personal , servicio , comida , bebida y precios todo absolutamente increíble. Este lugar golpea muy por encima de su peso. Bill era £ 43 . . . . . . sí £ 43 . . . . . BARGAIN. Dejando un consejo decente como siempre volveremos.

Ribeye steak grisly ( not had that in a Rib eye before ). It was very thin consequently over done. Complained and got a Oh ! Stone Grill next time.

Had a fantastic meal again here cannot fault that at all.only thing was I didn't like was they came and cleared our table while one of us was still eating .order was also misunderstood but admittedly was rectified promptly. This has not put us of and will still visit again when we are in blackpool. Also you must book to eat as it gets very busy.

We were a party of 11. All the various steaks came to the table at the same time and cooked to each persons liking - no small fete for a large party. All the meals were amazing, would definitely highly recommend.

What can I say, I have had many steaks all over the world and to my suprise this little steak house in Blackpool is up there 5 stars guys keep doing what your doing

A true hidden gem with outstanding food! However, the service was quite slow - despite our 6:45 pm booking, we weren’t able to order until nearly 7:30 pm, and starters didn’t arrive until around 7:50 pm. While we understood they were understaffed and working hard, it was a bit too late for our children, who lost interest by the time the food arrived. We had to rush through our meal and leave quickly. That said, the food was absolutely worth the wait and offered great value for money.

Could not find any faults with this place. The staff were under extreme pressure as a customer needed an emergency ambulance. The staff gave immediate first aid ( and saved his life). They then carried on working and remained calm and professional throughout the evening. They must have gone home in shock though. Absolutely fabulous.

racist staff. worst dining experience of my life, on my birthday. upon arrival we were seated by a lovely young girl. a few minutes after an adult lady with a bad attitude (potentially the manager) came to the table and said ‘you can’t just sit down you havnt booked’ in a very confrontational manner. which was weird but we brushed it off. after 25 minutes a drinks order was taken, my drink arrived 10 mins after this. the last drink to arrive was 1 hour after we were seated. whilst we waited an eternity for our four drinks i went outside for a smoke, it just so happened the chef came out at that time too.. who proceeded to pace back and forth frantically on his phone organising a ‘drop off.’ yet it gets worse. my brother seemed to be being treat awfully and ignored by the staff, he asked for another drink and the waitress turned her back on him and asked me to order any more drinks. when it came to paying the bill, again my brother was ignored and the waitress turned away from him again, she even refused his use of the card machine and asked me to do it for him. whilst we were eating our mediocre meal in a restaurant that only had 3 tables in, we watched them refuse entry to 3 groups of young men. all of these groups included at least one mixed race person. it suddenly clicked. this a racist establishment, there are many reviews on all different sites about how people have experienced racism in this restaurant. the unkept, brash, poor excuse for a waitress seemed to be instructing the much younger waitresses to refuse service and purposely leave us waiting. literally anywhere in blackpool is better than this place. avoid at all costs edit - just remembered after we left i checked the reciept and they’d applied a tip! £10! without even asking. cheeky

Without a doubt the best steaks I've tried for a very long time

The food & service were excellent. An incident happened in the restaurant a gentleman who was choking and the Restaurant manager and i assisted the gentleman who was taken to hospital as we were unable to clear the obstruction and had to do CPR He thankfully made a full recovery. The staff at this restaurant handle the situation very professionally and although scary carried on regardless afterwards. Would defo recommend this restaurant great value we had the Market menu

We are Blackpool locals and we love the eating inn! We have a rather fussy 11 year old and she has declared that this is her “new favourite restaurant” not only is it exceptional value but the staff are simply amazing and the food sublime! It really is a jewel on Blackpools promenade and our new “local” one of your excellent front of house team members remembered us on our second visit which felt very special. Although selfishly I’d like to keep this restaurant a secret, they really deserve to be packed to the rafters and enjoyed by all

Outstanding food. Outstanding service. Cannot fault this place! I had the garlic mushrooms to start and they were the best garlic mushrooms i’ve ever had in my life. The steak was perfectly cooked and the parmesan and truffle fries… oh my god. Just 10/10 all around. Incredible food, incredible lovely polite staff. 11/10 would recommend!

We were first through the door this Sunday. Food is exceptional and reasonably priced. Will be bringing the kids next time we are in Blackpool. Must try there BBQ sauce.

Didn't feel like eating the rest of my dinner, wasn't able to finish so I wanted to box it up and take it home with me. I hadn't touched the chips and still had mostly everything on my plate. Sweet pot chips, mushrooms, rocket and peppercorn sauce. I only got half my steak back nothing else. Bare in mind I paid £30+ for this one meal. Not happy!

Food was fantastic, steak was cooked to perfection and husbands steak pie was exceptional! Very reasonably priced and service was great! Would highly recommend!

We dined here last night and did have a really fabulous meal, the only reason for the 4 stars is the Fillet wasn’t cooked as requested (Asked for medium, however was medium rare) Certainly didn’t ruin the meal at all and can’t fault the flavour. The other dish was fish and chips. The fish nothing particularly special but the Jenga chips were absolutely out of this world! We did have garlic bread with cheese to share as a starter, super cheesy and really tasty. Service was excellent and can’t fault the staff at all. Decor nice as you walk in and a really nice atmosphere ☺️ We would come back if we ever found ourselves in Blackpool again.

Since seeing one on Great British Menu I have wanted a Tomahawk Steak and I wasn’t disappointed at all. This was on the sharer menu and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Decent price. Nice sides, the onion rings were big and delicious. Would def recommend.

Food was delicious. Cooked perfectly. Would definitely recommend. Reasonable price . We had our 2 and 1 year old with us and they shared a lasagna. They ate without fuss and seemed to really enjoy it.

Had our 60th wedding anniversary here, a small group of us but a friendly and helpful staff. Food was really good. We've lived nearby for 25 years but only just recently thought we'd never been in there, will certainly be going again.

Lived in Blackpool all my life and never eaten here before, after dropping off and picking up literally hundreds of visitors and locals in my taxi we decided to go for my partners birthday, you couldn’t be disappointed with anything unless you are really fussy person, the food, staff and service was 1st class, every meal that went past our table looked amazing, needless to say we will be returning as soon as we can. Always good food, price is good , lovely place to have a meal, only let down was they allow dogs to sit on the chairs. When ask the staff ,there reply was they are friends of the owner.

The old say goes you get what you pay for. Little more expensive than well know named pubs but quality of food doesn't disappoint you. If you want a nice place it eat with excellent food. Highly recommend

Amazing nothing else needs to said

We booked a table for 18.30. We arrived just before and saw it was very busy. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who showed us to our table straight away, we got menu's and then another friendly member of staff came for our drinks order. We had our food order taken by another friendly member of staff. Having seen how busy the staff were i was impressed at how they were just taking it in thier stride. The food came and it was outstanding. We both enjoyed our starters and our mains. We had our drinks replaced almost straight away when our glases were empty. I cant complement the staff and food enough.

Visited the eating inn for our 6th year i think on 8th feb 2025....unfortunately i had booked for the previous night...oh dear ...but rather than refuse our party of 8 persons the manager found us space upstairs.. Food amazing...wine amazing ...great staff.. Thank you ...disaster averted Keith

Delicious food, great service. We enjoyed an impromptu meal at The Eating inn. The service was attentive and friendly. The drinks were well priced and quick to arrive. The food was delicious and the menu was extremely good.

This is our go to restaurant when in Blackpool. The decor is lovely, the staff very friendly and helpful and the food is tasty, portions good. Tried the strawberry champagne cheesecake and loved it. This restaurant is busy most times we go so NYE was no exception but service was quick, so well done

Been going there over a number of years and always had the highest respect for it and told and brought others with us but the last 2 times we had to wait over an hour just to be seated and we had booked in advance the second we got in on time but was really disappointed with the service my partner got his main with his starter 1 hour and 15 mins later then give up complimentary drinks which got all messed up also the staff seem to have changed and are very young and in my view very inexperienced which leads me to believe that it's changed management if not you need to sort your staff out as in more mature and experienced as the youngs ones was really run off their feet and panicking which they should not be put in that position I hope you can address some of the issues as it would be a more comfortable and relaxed atmosphere if these things was addressed

Surprised by the the portion of the food. The starter could be a size of a main. The taste is really good, loved everything we ordered. The price is decent, cost us £79 for these! Staff is really friendly as well. Amazing!

My work and i came in for our christmas meal and we were not disappointed the service was quick and efficient we were greeted by Andy who was so welcoming and served by Lottie who was also so welcoming and helpful there was a younger lad aswell that was helping serve, we were a table of 15 and all drinks and food came out together we had a mix between us of the pate, meatballs, ribs, prawns and soup to start thenmainly steaks ( all cooked to everyone's taste ) a few Kievs, vegetarian lasagne and a vegan burger, the feedback from everyone was 10 out of 10 not stingy with portions quite the opposite the portions most of us found quite large, taste was incredible and presentated beautifully I think we will all be returning for future meals out

Three generations of us had a family meal here after visiting the Sandcastle. Lunch time on a Saturday (in December) the restaurant was quiet. The service was great, the food was fantastic (perfect steak and all the trimmings were cooked well) and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended.

I've just had a call today from the restaurant saying they are no longer dog friendly. I had booked for new year's eve & we would have probably had the most expensive steak each as it would have been new year's eve. Had to cancel the booking & are going to have to look elsewhere. Shame. 😟

The first time we came here it was absolutely amazing. This time it was like we stepped into another dimension. The greeter showed us to our seats and told us someone would get us our drinks. Nobody came back to our table. They started taking orders from people who entered the restaurant after we arrived and still no drinks, let alone appetizers. I literally had to stop one of the waitresses walking past our table after she took yet another order from a couple who arrived well after we did. We finally just ordered our drinks and meal at the same time in fear we might not have another wait staff come back to our table for another 30 minutes. The steak tasted amazing just like we remembered however I ordered a sirloin steak and a third of it was fat. The waitress took it back to the chef and the greeter came back with an attitude insisting it was a sirloin when it obviously was a very fatty ribeye steak. I finally insisted that he talk with the chef who had seen the leftover fat from the steak. They did comp the drinks for us but it doesn't make up for the poor service and attitude we had to put up with. Even after my wife left a review the reply was as rude as the staff that night. Needless to say we will not return even though they are one of only a few steak houses in Blackpool. Come back with a rude reply to me and make up some more excuses for the unprofessional and rude service and behaviour your staff demonstrated that night..... I dare you.

Myself and my partner are from Belfast NI and we came to Blackpool for a long weekend. Whilst here we walked past “The Eating Inn” and it looked nice so we booked a table online for the following evening. We where both blown away! Best food we had the entire trip and the staff where so lovely! Absolutely will be back next time we are in Blackpool. My partner got Sirloin Steak with truffle fries and she loved it. I got the oink burger and the pulled pork was incredible! I’d also recommend the filthy fries! Cant wait to go back in the future. Honestly couldn’t recommend it enough.

Went for the 3rd time with my partner and yet again the food was amazing never had a bad meal. The steak was cooked perfectly to our requirements. The staff are a credit very welcoming polite and nothing is too much trouble. The value for money is amazing makes me question why other steak houses charge so much. If you are a local or a tourist I would highly recommend giving it a try you will not be disappointed

Great place, used by locals and tourists.

7 of us dined here at The Eating Inn this evening, we all had steaks and everyone was impressed and enjoyed their meal, the steaks being cooked on a flame grill gives a great flavour. Service was also good and from being seated we was well looked after. ( I usually take food photos but forgot tonight, we will be returning again so will do next time)

Second time here and very disappointed the steak was so fatty half couldn't be eaten the server male ignored us and send people to serve others before us and was confrontational after we brought up the steak we won't be going back

I went Saturday night 6.45 place busy ,been before was good .this time sirloin steak very fatty grizzly not just mine another family member too .table next to ours complained also about there's .I didn't say anything on night wife's birthday.i rang them up day after spoke to Dave manager he said you should have told us on night .but next time you come in I will sort something out.i said could you not give wife vouchers so see would appreciate that and come when she wants again .he said no just come back in mention me I will look after you . neither me or wife want anything for free and possibly would not ask for it I spoke with wife don't think we will be back sorry to say

A hidden gem, you could walk past and not see it. Look for the big silver cow! We had a lovely rib eye steak, cooked to perfection with a hint of char grill flavour. Pepper sauce and real homemade onion rings.

Found this restaurant on a Google search before heading to Blackpool for the weekend. A local taxi driver said it was one of the best places to eat.. and he wasn't wrong. The food was excellent, and the team was really helpful and friendly. Will 100% be going back when I'm in Blackpool again. Highly recommend.

Came for the first time last night what a place , venue, food, service absolutely fantastic.our steaks were cooked to perfection. The buffalo wings were unbelievably fantastic would recommend best steak house around.👌👌

Having originally visited this restaurant in October 2023 and really enjoyed our meals, we visited again during the 2024 October week and had the same positive experience (we visited twice this year). This place is very different to the usual Blackpool fare, the decor is tasteful and the staff are attentive. On our first visit this year, I had the ribs as a starter and the pan-fried sea bass as a main meal (exactly the same as last year). On the second visit, I had a skewer of prawns as a starter (it was actually an optional extra to turn steak into surf and turf but they we happy to provide it as a starter) with some of their excellent house coleslaw on the side. This was followed by chicken breast in a wild mushroom sauce (see picture) To be honest, I can't praise these meals highly enough, and my wife felt exactly the same (and we're very critical eaters!). Our daughter had the ribs from the children's menu and she loved it too. I noticed that it was not just tourists eating there, there were people local to the Lancashire area having birthday meals out there on both of our visits this year, so clearly, local people are aware of the merits of this place too. Considering the quality of their offering, we found the prices very reasonable. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Blackpool and wanting something different.

What a gem of a place! Such a good find, there was 9 of us, three of them children but the staff couldn’t have been any more welcoming and nice. The inside is lovely, such a Cosy and warm feeling about the place. The food is incredible. Wish we had been staying longer and we would have definitely eaten there again!! The steaks were amazing, cooked perfectly. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Blackpool or near by.

Amazing staff, there were only 2 of them as far as I could see not sure how they managed but they more than managed. Comfortable surroundings. The food, wow, I had the chicken liver and a 10oz steak. Both very nice. If I'm ever in blackpool again I'll definitely be back. Well done and thank you

What can I say? Quality of food was great - no problems. However....... once finished the main course we were totally ignored by the management and staff and 30 minutes later I said my piece! When ordering a £30 main course my wife wanted to swap chips for broccoli...were told "can't do that". (Can't or won't?). Very disappointing response. I had a £35 main course.....no satisfaction check. Steaks were fine - no problem. 30 minutes after we had finished our mains the manager finally came over and asked if we wanted anything else. I said that we had been ignored and not even offered desserts ...I was accused of raising my voice (which I didn't) . In summary ...food was good but our overall experience was so disappointing due to the manager's attitude. We spent £100 there ....it could have been more! BTW......the manager calling me "sweetheart" and "darling" doesn't soften the blow.
