The Willows Coffee House in Blackpool

Went for the first time today. The lady serving was lovely and pleasant. Seems to be a lot of regulars which is nice to see.

A great little cafe with a nostalgic, retro vibe. While the decor is dated, it's very clean and adds to the cozy atmosphere. Prices are incredibly affordable, and the portions are generous. The menu offers a good variety of simple, no-frills dishes that hit the spot. The friendly staff make the experience even better, adding to the welcoming, unpretentious feel of the place. If you're after great value and a hearty breakfast or lunch, The Willows is a must-visit.

Have been here many times over the past couple of years for breakfast and they also serve a decent cup of coffee what more do you need, friendly staff and always very clean. Great prices, In my book that equals a rating of Excellent.

Out of all the cafe's I have been to in Blackpool, this is the best value-for-quantity for our pennies that I have come across. The grub was amazing, the staff are amazing, and your actually treated like a valuable human being unlike some places (that take your money and clock watch), and you can modify your meals to your chosen desire if you wish (unlike those places with fixed menu's). And they do take-away, and you can even take your pet pooch. Been going here on and off now for about 20 years or so, and never had an issue, and it is great to be valued and served with grub which is plentiful for such a low price. Very easy to get to, and based on Highfield Road near to Lytham Road. Once you've been, am sure you will go back as and when you can it's that good and friendly.

Love this an independent cafe that has great food breakfast is fab and not overpriced.

I ordered two bacon rolls and both of the rolls were wet on the bottom and flaky on top like they had come out of the freezer. Staff were nice enough and friendly but wont be going there again. The food was cheap enough but I guess you get what you pay for

We came today for a drink and a cake when we went to get a highchair the 2 chairs was cover In food from the people before and the trays had not even been wiped the lady who served us was very rude we had to ask 4 time what cakes they had just what u could see we was not the only customers that had to ask the lady several times for something when clearly the locals to the cafe said something and she answered straight away very poor customer service

We stayed in a air BnB close to this cafe approximately 10/15 minute walk away, it was also recommended to us by the owner of the BnB. So we just had to do a review of the Belly Buster Full English Breakfast.

It is years since i have been to The Willows Cafe in the main shopping area of Highfield Road in South Shore, Blackpool. . I was rather surprised with prices they charge . I went with a friend and we both had our lunch inside the cafe, I had a cheese and tomato omelette with chips and salad and my friend had Gamon, chips and peas. PLUS a lot of freshly brewed tea. Myfriend likes her tea very weak sowe ssked for an extra pot of hot water so she could water her drink down. Can you believe that they only charged us THe TOTAL PRICE £9.50 for EVERYTHING? UNBELIEVABLE BUT IT'S TRUE . I had a pudding of a good sized slice of black cherry cheesecake which cost me another £1.50. I dn't know of anywhere else that you would be able to get a 2 course meal for the very low cost of mearly £6.25. I STIĹL FIND IT UNBELIEVABLY CHEAP SO much so that i doubt that they're making much, if any, profit. I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY CAN DO IT SO CHEAPLY IN TODAY's FINANCIAL SITUATION . The food itself arrived at our table within a reasonable length of time and we BOTH enjoyed our lunches and received it delivered to ourtable by a very happy looking and friendly waitress who obviously has been doing this job a while because she's a perfect person for the fact isthat she was very good at he job and she attended ro us AS SOONas we approached the counter when we were ready to order our choice of food . We've both enjoyed receiving a friendly service from a staff member who wore a smile when serving us. The food was prepared by another staff member who just works in the cafe's kitchen area and they certainly know how to cook a great tasting and how to present a great looking appetizing 8meal becausetheu were NOT only presented really appealing to the eyes BUT it tasted fantastic too. My only criticism is that the chairs that we were sat on were hard and had no cushioning on them. This could easily be improved by providing a few scatter cushions for those customers who would prefer a softer seat to sit on. The decor inside the cafe needs attention to bring it up to date bexause ii looks a little sparse BUT IT WAS CLEAN and we will drfinitely be returning again soon for our lunch

OK people I lived in Blackpool for 28 years and moved to Newport in September but name a better cafe in Blackpool that does the best breakfasts (bet you can't)

I have been going in The Willows for YEARS! My dad goes for breakfast on match days (Blackpool FC of course!) I go with him and my step mum sometimes. My sister goes there with her boys and hub. My mum goes there too. June and Vick know my entire family 😂😂 I take my daughter and grandboy… Need to take the newest one in asap! It’s friendly, good prices and good food. The corned beef hash pie is yum. They will do their very best to accommodate what you need or want. It’s not fancy but doesn’t need to be. Good food good service.

Such a lovely little Cafe a warm welcome feeling as well, this is my mum and Dad's favorite cafe they always go to. To be honest I do prefer the Old style cafes to all these fancy ones. The staff are really friendly and the chef is some cook 10/10 for her 👌

Went to the Willows for the first time had the breakfast special absolute bargain. £4.50 for 2 bacon, 2 sausage, egg, beans, fried bread and a coffee. Cooked fresh, piping hot lovely service proper old school cafe will definitely be back everything delicious especially the fried bread

This is such a nice little cafe. I have only been twice but both times the staff have been so lovely. Only thing I will say is if you have a wheelchair or big pram double check you can get in as it is a little tight. Other than that perfect little cafe. Oh and the prices are questionable. I question how they make enough to stay open

Cheap and cheerful with a slightly dated interior. Staff are friendly however is you get what you pay for - cheap prices = cheap quality.

Spacious clean and friendly cafe . I popped in with friends for a full breakfast £4 A bargain !! Obviously famous with locals as lots of customers seemed to know each other. A relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Hope to return soon.

Popped in today for the first time. Coffee and cake - coffee OK and homemade chocolate brownie world class. Owner uses real chocolate rather than cocoa powder. £4 for two people. Can't beat that. Will be back in the New Year.

went in for breakfast while mum was at hairdressers next door. Poached eggs on toast 100% perfect and so hot inc toast. Lovely hot pot of tea and really friendly service. Took away homemade cheese and onion pie which was lovely for my tea, a homemade fresh strawberry, and cream meringue, and a homemade scone.No no complaints whatsoever as those who know me know if something isn't right I will say. I recommend this cafe 100% and I will be back.

I went in today for breakfast with my wife staff not very friendly and service very poor i ordered full breakfast with fryed bread and a vegetarian for my wife she had tomato beans egg hash brown very greasy mushrooms toast no bacon no sausage at all hash brown was full of fat no potatoes in it and deeped fryed my bacon was burnt and over cooked egg over cooked fryed bread not good place was not very clean staff very rude would not recommend this place at all no staff wearing masks or aprons seen no hygiene certificate any where place should be closed down

I have just come back from Highfield road with a group of my elderly slimming world friends. We have just started meeting up again after lockdown. We are all in our seventies. Willows has been one of my favourite eateries on Highfield Road for over twenty years but no longer. I ordered a slimming world breakfast. What i got was a vegan breakfsst. I told the lady who delivered it to the table that it wasn't what I ordered but she didn't listen. Rather than cause a fuss I tried to eat it but it was all wrong. White bread instead of brown, horrible vegan sausages, no bacon beans and hash browns I didn't want and couldn't eat. i decided to complain. Their attitude was awful. After I tried to take my complaint to the owner, I was ordered out along with my friends all in their late seventies or early eighties who hadn't done anything wrong. I was accused of being rude as I indicated with a pointed fingerthe young women who had dismissed my complaint with a roll of the eyes and a shrug of the shoulders. She had insisted that I had ordered the vegan breakfast. Another group of customers saw what had happened and said that the staff were awful. I am so upset. Willows holds so many lovely memories of when me and my late husband, Paddy ate there every lunchtime (Under different ownership). I usually avoid leaving bad reviews, as a business person myself I know we are in difficult times. But this was so awful that I needto get it out there. I wouldn't eat there again even if the food was free. They were not busy so there was no excuse. We can all make mistakes but what separates a good business from a bad one is how they deal with those mistakes.

Think it's family run. There a cheerful lot. Cheap and cheerful and good stuff. Wasn't keen on the 'packet' fish though so I avoid that. The rest is brilliant. If am down that way, I'll nip in, as it is in my top 10 best cafe's in Blackpool. Avoid 12 till 1, as it can be busy hence no seats available. They have a conservatory which didn't seem used which is sad, as I would like to dine in there. They have 'Wifi' too, which is handy as i can catch up on stuff for work.

Occasionally pop in for a breakfast, never disappointed and the staff are friendly. Keep up the good work.

Always get great service & food no matter which day I go. Having eaten there alone or with friends the same level of food is served, which is always lovely and the staff and warm & friendly (each time). Have had many of their meals and all very tasty (especially their fry ups). Highly recommend if you're down that area & feeling hungry.

A friendly, happy place. Food freshly cooked to order. If they have it, even if it isn't on the menu, they will cook it for you. Staff are friendly and always up for a laugh. I treat it almost as a home from home. Best place I have found in this area yet.

Visit here fairly regularly and always find it exceptionally good value for money. It's not particularly posh inside but it certainly makes up for it with the quality of the food and service. Always busy with the locals so that should tell you something.

A regular visitor to The Willows. The food is cooked to your preference. If you don't see anything you want, just ask. If they have it in, they will cook it for you. The owner, June, bakes her own cakes and pies, which are a firm favourite with many regulars, and new visitors alike. Yes, some of the tables are a little wobbly, gives the place it's own character. In summer, the conservatory is a very pleasant place to sit for a snack or a quick drink. It is also, I would think, quite useful for small business meetings. I don't know for sure, but June is very accommodating in most things. Ask, you never know. I love the small breakfast, which I always have with seedy toast. The staff are great, they remember you and your preferences. They have a chat with you whilst serving you, and if they have time afterwards. They will do all they can to help you.

We have now started to make this our regular Friday lunchtime haunt because the food is great the staff are very friendly even when we rang through a massive order, nothing was a problem. Full English breakfast and a drink for £4 what a bargain. Burgers are great too!!

I popped into The Willows whilst working in Blackpool recently, to say this place is in need of a revamp is to state the obvious, it honestly looks like something from the 70's and I kept expecting Cybil and Basil to come out arguing at any second! The menu boards and windows are a mishmash of offers, daily specials (With curling corners so not sure how 'daily' it is!), stuck on dishes and what seems like random ingredients and words, I bet they offer lots of different dishes but I struggled to work out the menu so basically stuck to the breakfast offerings.

I often pop in for coffee & cake when am around the Highfield Rd shops. Owner is very chatty/friendly, bakes her own cakes etc. I love their milky coffee with a slice of custard-delicious, & the cheapest prices around! Free WiFi is available, all in all i can't fault the place.

Pop in here occasionally with my mum for lunch, food and portions are good. The seats are a little dated and not very comfy. I also think it's set out the wrong way round, the arm chairs should be in the window and the tables towards the back but in general it's good food at a good price.

Standard cafe not much to it friendly service ok food not a lot a food choice minimum menu choices. Wouldn't visit again quite small and cramped.

Went for breakfast on Friday with some work colleagues. Service and food was first class. You don't get this in the supermarket cafés.

My 5th visit, just noticed they have Facebook. Lovely little place, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and a lovely brew and big breakfast. Nice to find something value for money

visited the willows coffee house on Highfield road recently with my daughter and partner the new owners have transformed the willows itself with all new decor and a fantastic menu which is excellent value for money. The staff are lovely, very friendly and only to happy to help they provided an excellent service and made my family feel very welcome would recommend it to family and friends its well worth a visit. we will definitely be going back for a visit soon.

Called here for the first time for lunch. Will be visiting again soon. It's so nice visiting an individual establishment rather than a chain outlet where everything's the same. Food was delicious as was my coffee and homemade cake. High standard of hygiene and friendly staff make this a great place to visit. See you again soon.

The new owners have transformed what was a high-street greasy-spoon into a haven of home-made and home-baked comfort food with a relaxed, homely atmosphere. I highly recommend calling in for coffee and cake next time you are shopping on Highfield Road
