Yorkshire Fisheries in Blackpool

My wife and I met up with some of my extended family in Blackpool sat afternoon, a chippy tea was mentioned, I'm always eager to try new places and menu's, this establishment was a class act, from the initial greeting, attentive staff, the first class scampi dishes, the fish and chip's, the sauces and gravy were all top grub, this was our first venture there but definitely not our last. An excellent choice for anybody that craves good food.Keep it up.

A really lovely fish and chips restaurant. A very warm welcome, followed by helpful, friendly and attentive staff to take our order with options to have a light batter on the fish. You can also have smaller portion of chips with your choice. 1/2 chips Overall, fish and chips and salmon and dill fish cake with 1/2 chips. Very nice & Cooked to perfection, not greasy. With good portion sizes. Restaurant is well kept, clean and comfortable. Thank you to all the lovely staff.

I came here on a rainy Wednesday, with baggage, umbrella and everything. The staff get to the door and welcome me with a warm smile. She helped me with my baggage, and my umbrella. She help to seat me and give me the menu. The food is just amazing, the fish is very big portion, the mushy peas tastes surprisingly good, it taste fresh, the chips are crunchy with soft insides and she even provide me with bottomless mayo for me to dine with. I fell in love at first sight with this place, the staff also is very kind and friendly despite the restaurant seems busy, referred yo me as darling and sweety makes me feel like I’m at my granny's. She also keep checking up on me and asking me about the meal and if i need anything. SOLID 10/10. TOTALLY WOULD COME AGAIN, WHEN IN BLACKPOOL. To the staff if you are reading this, I really appreciate and I am the guy with red baggage in black coat and green umbrella. Hope to come again ❤️

I was recommended to go here went today got standard cod and half chips the standard fish was a joke very small for a standard fish I've never had cod so dry in my life it didn't even look flakey which makes me think it wasn't cod especially fresh cod my wife left most of her chips they were sharp and hard but her plate pie was just OK I was very disappointed with what we were charged for what we got

Absolutely fantastic service and food was delicious

Food is good, all of us in a total of 26 people enjoy the food so much. Kids meal portion is even good enough for a woman! The lady shop owner and staffs are friendly, place is clean and tidy.

Went to the place going off the reviews but very disappointed,chips were white and very sharp,lady behind the counter middle aged very cocky and rude,won't be returning.

If I could of given it 10 I would, food is delicious and the staff are wonderful!

Came here during Easter break. Food - magnificent. Atmosphere - amazing!!! And what made it all was our incredible male server (sorry we did not catch your name but you were an absolute highlight!!!) 1000% reccomend!

We were looking for a good chippy meal and Yorkshire Fisheries was recommended. We went here on the 2 April 2024. The restaurant was very clean, staff were really friendly and cheerful. The menu range was great and price wise very good. The portions were fantastic, the quality of the food was excellent. They have a lovely sign behind the counter which really is what they are about. Would highly recommend 👌

Have been visiting tower fisheries every time we are on our annual September family weekend to Blackpool, Absolutely amazing even the buttered bread and Tea is top notch try the curry sauce it’s got a bit of a kick can’t recommend this place enough.

Lovely lunch today. Turned up with the twin grandchildren and the SUV buggy! Staff were great, helpful and friendly.

Friendliest restaurant in Blackpool, and definitely best fish and chips. All staff are so welcoming, polite, even when closing, they said that they would be cleaning up around, but please don't rush. Chips are amazing, done to perfection, and fish battered to perfection. Cannot fault at all.

The LBGT Outdoor lads walking charity recently spent a day in Blackpool and decided from recommendation to visit here for lunch. Staff Maria and Alona (sorry if spelt wrong) were welcoming friendly and polite. The atmosphere was relaxed and clean and tidy. Facilities were great. The food was brilliant thumbs up from the whole group. Took all our orders and allowed us all to pay separately. Food service was fast and other customers looked happy. Highly recommended for a brilliant classic fish and chip shop. No complaints. Our group attends Blackpool regularly I'm sure our members will visit again x thank you from all 12 of us.

Went for a trip to Blackpool and just had to try this place I read about. Was not disappointed. The food was excellent. We had the haddock and chips, really good 👍. The service was first class.We were served by a lovely Ukrainian girl. Would recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Four adults in Blackpool to see granddaughter/daughter dancing at the Winter Gardens. Bit miserable outside but when we entered were given a warm welcome and soon had our menu sorted. Ordered four specials with a combo of sides, it was all delicious and staff very attentive but not overbearing. Sadly don’t think we will be in Blackpool again soon (we'd come from Cheshire) but can recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in Blackpool.

An excellent family run chippy, the oldest in Blackpool (opened in 1907 to be exact) and still going strong! It's tucked away in a side street close to Blackpool North Station. Came here for lunch and the minute I entered, I was greeted by cheerful and friendly staff who could not have been more welcoming. The restaurant, with a takeaway next to it, is larger than it looks from the outside, with comfy leather seating and some nice nautical themed pictures and tapestries on the walls. Very clean, with a hand sanitiser at the entrance, and tables cleaned as soon as they were vacated. The toilets (with baby changing), at the top of a long narrow staircase, were also very clean. Although it was busy, service was efficient and it didn't take too long to get my meal. Had the special cod in batter, with chips and mushy peas. The food was freshly cooked and served very hot. Generous portions. Good sized fish, and I could choose between regular and light batter. Some of the best chips I've eaten in a restaurant, chunky but also light and fluffy. With a slice of brown bread and butter, and a large cup of good strong tea, the meal cost £14. The atmosphere was so relaxed and friendly. I really enjoyed my lunch here and will return.

Love this place, even though we had cod.

Wow what a a Gorgeous Phenomenal meal me and my Girlfriend had on Valentines. We had Cooked and Deep fried Chicken and Chips peas gravy and 2 slices of bread each and 2 coffees. Wow when the meal came we definitely weren't disappointed with the look of it, the size of mega portion of Chicken which was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth, and mega portion of chips peas and gravy just as good. It is vertual impossible nowadays to get battered Chicken it was purely delicious, and there was just the bones left. You can 😆 lol it was Valentines 💝 but what a fantastic meal, modern clean surroundings and mega helpful staff and Phenomenal service, made the whole experience fantastic Thank you. Me and the girlfriend will definitely be back, and thoroughly recovered the venue to anyone, Even Rick Stein would be extremely pleased here.

Yes it’s as good at the rest of the reviews say. Crispy batter , fish properly filleted , friendly service and fair prices . Scampi is excellent as well and overall a very good reason to Visit north Blackpool. Would recommend the manager to serve gherkins though.

We visited Yorshire Fisheries for a meal on 27th January, and were delighted with every aspect of the visit. The food, service and atmosphere were the best we could have expected. We will definitely return. Keep doing what you are doing - we can highly recommend.

Friendly staff excellent service

Me and my autistic son, god knows takes a lot of hard work to get him out, but i brought him to yorkshire fisheries last year, for a meal which consists of 2x burgers no baps just bare burgers+chips and gravy i got the same. Fast forward yesterday 30th jan 2024, we came back had same meal was delicious. The owner/staff so nice, and so wanted to make sure you had a nice visit. But if a mix up about the 2xburgers each but sorted in such a nice way👌. Delicious chips/burgers to die for/gravy so nice+the best cup of tea i ever had. Thank you to all at yorkshire fisheries. The lovely waitress who served us thank you, and. Owner who is a gem and is a credit to this establishment👌👌👌👌👌👌👌x.

Honestly the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Fish was battered nicely, not greasy. Chips perfect. Served with gravy on the side and bread & butter to clean it up - 100% delicious. Service was super friendly and pretty fast though it was quite busy. All contained in a tradition British cafe, super comforting environment.

It was a good dinner for a first timer on that chippy. Definitely enjoyed my fish and chips meal with my husband. 🥰

Really nice fish and chips all round. Definitely worth a visit I have knocked 1 star off purely because I had ordered a normal Cod and chips at approximately £10 and an Xl Cod and chips at approximately £18 and for the life of the 2 of us could not tell the 2 fish apart. So definitely worth a visit but would be hesitant to order the Xl portions.

Loved this place great find and worth the find. Food was brilliant even our 2 year old grandson loved it. Staff all lovely would highly recommend.

Best chippy in Blackpool, you have to wait for your fish to be cooked, which is good as it shows it is fresh!

Our daughter and family insisted that we go for lunch and we can understand why now! It's a fabulous place, so clean, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Then there's plenty of choice, excellent value and the food is delicious, fresh and hot. We loved it!

Lovely fish and chips with great service

It was our first visit to Yorkshire Fisheries in Blackpool earlier today and it certainly won’t be our last. We were welcomed by a lovely friendly lady as soon as we walked through the door. We chose a lovely table and a lady brought the menus over straight away. Our order was taken a few minutes later and we both ordered Cod, chips, mushy peas and they came with a cup of tea each and a slice of bread & butter each. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was great and the staff were so friendly. My hubby and I highly recommend here to anyone. We will definitely be back x x Pammy & John x x

💯% recommend this place. The food is absolutely amazing. Table of 11 with 5 adults 6 children and not one complaint. Food hot, delicious and served to your table by wonderful smiley staff. Lovely atmosphere, very clean and tidy. Highly recommend (especially the steak pudding). 10 out of 10. 👍

Me my wife and our daughter went today having tried lots of fish and chip shops in Blackpool we came across this little gem would highly recommend this our best experience and now having been there for our first time wouldn't go anywhere else when we are next in town

We cycled to Blackpool from Manchester today and we're famished and cold, with the bikes in tow, a waitress noticed us staring longingly through the window (and the restraunt was by no means quiet) she offered to stash our bikes through a side door and we enjoyed two most excellent Large Haddock, chips and mushy peas.. Highly recommend the food and service, Thank you.

My husband & I visit Blackpool annually from the South Coast to dance socially at The Tower Ballroom & always go here!! Very welcoming & friendly staff every year & great fish & chips served so fresh & hot & with a smile! Well worth the 12m wait!! See you next year!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here- I only wish we hadn't been rushing to catch a train. We were recommended the place by MacMaster from youtube. Super friendly, perfectly clean and food piping hot. I don't know what's not to love! The staff seemed really happy here- and happy to see you-which I love to see- and it's becoming rare! I had a light bite cod and chips (which was superb value and I think adequate size for many adults, not just those with smaller appetites- I would regard my appetite as fairly average an I didn't finish it,) My boyfriend had a savaloy and a battered sausage with chips! Food was really tasty. Also had a curry sauce, bottle of coke and can of pepsi. I think it was £23 altogether. No complaints, will definitely return.
