Beautiful space for sure. I have been here several times (and recommended it highly in the past) but this visit was very disappointing. Suited and booted with my girlfriend, only to have a close-by table being allowed to play cards clattering dice across their table...and probably 50%+ of the customers in jeans, trainers etc. A place this classy should have a dress code and a behaviour code, especially on a Saturday night. I did email the restaurant but not a single acknowledgement or response, which is very poor PR, and exactly why I am reviewing here No wonder it was, at best, half-full

Just popped in for a quick bite on our travels through the area Lovely people running this little tea room. I had a piece of delicious Coffee and Walnut cake served with cream and blueberries and a latte coffee served just as I asked for. Hubby had a cheese and ham toastie which he really enjoyed

We was in Clitheroe early morning & had two hours to pass, We wandered through the town following signs to the market, unfortunately the market wasn't on, however we stumbled across this lovely little place, didn't look much from the exterior but was early & assumed they was setting up, We went in, got a friendly good morning asked if we was ok, sat down looked at the menu, plenty of choices to be had, we both opted for a smaller breakfast (black pudding was awesome) & coffee, we did swap an item out. The breakfast came quite quickly lovely presented & very hot! A slight mistake probably due to me swapping an item, the lady rectified the issue promptly & apologised. We said no harm done & appreciated the fact it was sorted quickly. Toilets was nice & clean, smelt fresh, Water bowl outside for your dog. If we visit Clitheroe again, we will 100% come here again, A lovely proper cafe!

We have visited here many times on different days of the week and at different times. The food. The garden. All great. The only issue is that when you go to the till to order food. There are 5 or 6 people sat in the way and you have to shout over them. I know people have stopped going becausd of it. It alsoKinda puts me off.

Our first visit to the Maltsers Arms pub and we will be back. We choose the fish and chips, chicken/leek/ham pie and sausage and mash - good portion sizes and delicious. Had room for dessert too - yum. Friendly service and staff. An enjoyable afternoon followed by a circular walk.

A little bit of peace and tranquility from a busy London life. My second stay and need to find an excuse to travel north for business to visit again. It’s an absolute gem, both rooms that I have stayed in have been spotlessly clean, beautiful decor, gorgeous yummy extras left for you in your room, lovely outside space to sit or you can have a stroll through the land to see the animals/woods and don’t get me started on the breakfast. 3 Courses !! Served by the welcoming & informative David with his knowledge of all Kelly’s homemade Breads, Jams, Yogurt etc. Locally sourced ingredients, Kelly has thought of all the little touches to make your stay special. I will be back without a doubt but have concerns they will be getting booked up when word gets out how good the chestnuts is.
