The best restaurants serving British food in England

Had the outside catering prepare a meal with family today. Absolutely SUPERB. Food was delicious and the dessert was to die for. Many thanks to your team.

It's definitely out in the sticks, limited menu, the service is first class and dog friendly, it's not quite finished with the refurbishment but not long now and it will be perfect

Booked for a birthday treat. Beautiful location. Staff very friendly and prompt service. Nice touches in room and beautiful rooms but windows and bathroom looking slightly tired (helm crag room, no 27). A lot of stairs. Food delicious. Not sure why they didn't use guacamole rather than garden peas (not crushed as per menu) on breakfast with poached egg. Spa is lovely but is only small so gets busy easily and then only chairs are outside.

Fantastic cafe, with a wide selection of breakfast and lunch options. All high quality food at excellent prices, and the coffee is great.

Always very welcoming atmosphere, great food cooked to your preference and service is always excellent.

Lovely cup of tea, plenty of seating, 3 food options (bacon roll, cheese toastie, soup) and cakes. Nice views and a couple of options for walks.

OMG finally found a Bistro that serves good food ,wine, and beer First time here and won't be my last all food cooked with LOVE thank you 2nd time now, and once again, it won't be our last update 6th time

Amazing food and the loveliest service, brought home a toffee apple flapjack which was also amazing! Would definitely recommend 😊

Went here with a group for pancake day. On their board and website it says they do vegan pancakes until 2pm. Came in at 1pm. They would make all pancake day pancakes for everyone else but refused to do the vegan pancakes on their menu and were incredibly rude staff. Serving everyone else and rolling their eyes when asked for vegan pancakes and no apology for going against what their menu said (they have the ingredients the chef just refused to make them as they decided today there were no vegan pancakes past 12). Really bad and upsetting experience. Would not recommend Edit in response to owner: It was a group of 5 of us so we do have witnesses to backup events, which I am happy to provide. I think it's very unfair to say any of us were "angry" to your staff and the chef did not come out to see us. We were told that you had "stopped making them" not that you had run out hence why we quoted this in the review. If this was inaccurate then there was a miscommunication. I don't think resorting to name calling was necessary....

A small wine bar on the corner of a building adjacent to Chaopryha restaurant under the arches. The service was great as I was greeted with a smile and a welcome and an enquiry as to how I was. This was sadly a quick pit stop en route elsewhere, so I just had a half of guiness. I could easily have chilled and enjoyed a few beers. I will be back. Obviously, I didn't eat, so I can not rate the food. I was, however, given complimentary crisps with my guiness. A nice touch.

Mine and I think everyone's favourite place in Warrington, there is no another cheap place in Uk. Quality live music on weekends, love the place!!

Nice cosy family run pub,always welcoming and friendly. Definitely worth a visit. Will be back again.
