Rooms were immaculate, spa was lovely, staff couldn’t be more helpful. Beautiful relaxing areas with a fire. Breakfast was perfect. Shoutout to the staff member from Kirby in Liverpool who went above and beyond. We will definitely be returning.

Had a good stay here. Nice and quiet and centrally located with easy accessibility to the lakes. Hotel itself was quite nice. Staff were friendly-ish. I would not spend a lot of money staying here. Had to pay £20 extra for 2 nights of parking. Not a 4 star hotel. Rather 3.

Nice room, very spacious. Great spa.... Shame about the restaurant, slow service and got the order wrong. Glad it wasn't busy!

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and it was perfect! The room was lovely, the spa was amazing, the food was delicious and we had the best massages we've ever had from the lovely massage therapist, Penny Irvine.

Rooms were nice. We had a nice little balcony overlooking a river. The tv was very small and the blind which covered the window didn’t pull up or down was stuck to the wall via some Velcro. Food and staff were 10/10. Nothing was ever too much trouble. My only issue was the menu was too small too eat here several times, due to the area there is not many places for dinner so you are almost secluded to your hotel, however I do understand it is common for rosette establishments to have a reduced menu to maintain standards. Breakfast has a good range of selection including continental and a hot breakfast which was always delicious. The spa was okay the best bit was the hydro spa pool, but you do have to book a 40 minute time slot throughout the day to go you can’t just go when you fancy, which I understand is too stop the spa becoming over it’s capacity but it does feel like you have to plan your day around your spa time. The hotel is in good area lots of walks and trails near by.

We regularly travel to Grasmere and even when we aren’t able to stay at the Rothay Garden Hotel, we always make sure we go for dinner one night at their Garden Restaurant. The food is excellent, and the menu is regularly changed though out the year. Chris the GM and Robbie the restaurant manager have a superb team that are always willing to go the extra mile. Congratulations to you all on the recent award of your 2 AA Rosettes.

We visited the hotel after its recent refurbishment and we had a lovely time. The room we stayed in was done to a really high standard and had a great view. The staff were lovely. Will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend.

A cosy restaurant with good friendly service, very helpful. The food was great. I had the fried seafood which was fresh and hot. The best squid I’ve had in a long time. You’ll find it down an alley. It’s well worth finding it.
