My partner and I had a wonderful breakfast at The Old Post Office Guiting Power. Firstly its in the most idyllic setting. We were able to find parking right outside but it does get very busy so be mindful. The food was very delicious! I had the avocado on toast and my partner had the hot wok eggs… both were cooked to perfection and tasted great. We then left with a couple of their freshly baked sausage rolls and they did not disappoint!! You must try!! All in all I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a cafe/ brunch hot spot in the Cotswolds where you are served with a smile!

My goodness....this must be one of the best breakfasts in the country. I believe all the ingredients come from something like a half mile radius and it certainly tastes like it. I have rarely had such delicious bacon. I have been going to the Post Office for years and although, in a way, I miss the charming amateurism of Rupert & Co I am so pleased and delighted that it is now humming and buzzing and serving such delicious food in such a professional way. The pork was absolutely amazing super fresh crisp salad with some lovely bread. The cake was very very nice and super MOIST I only wish id taken some home. The old Post office was the lasting memory of our trip to the Cotswolds. We happened to drive past whilst following a tour route and decided to stop for a coffee. The three tables inside were taken but the staff were happy to dry off the table and chairs outside and suggested putting our drinks in takeaway cups should we need to move again quickly if it rained. Luckily a table became free inside and so we moved into the warmth. Two (large) bacon rolls later, we were ready to move on again. The food was excellent, all of the staff very friendly and the place itself quite quirky and full of things that you never knew you wanted. We even bought our first Christmas cards of the year!. Popped in for maybe a sandwich but was swayed by the array of good food on offer. Opted for the chicken broth. None of your tinned rubbish this was the real McCoy. Just like my gran's and her's was the best. Chunky vegetables and big bites of tender chicken in a barley broth that begged to be dunked in..so in went my lovely seeded bread. Had to have a slice of Marie's Victoria Sponge. If her broth was so good I figured the cake would be too. Wow ! Feather light and generously cream/jammed it was everything a "Vicky" should be. Textbook perfection. My sister had a chocolate Sundae. I know! On a Tuesday :-) Can't believe she finished all that whippy, saucy, flakey tiffiny goodness. Very friendly service from cheery enthusiastic ladies. It's licenced too if you fancy a tipple. Delightful surroundings. Pick up a few cards, browse for gifts and antiques. . Had an amazing Panini - bacon, Brie and cranberry & BLT today - really tasty and fresh. The coffee too was exceptional and we were told that it was their own roast - impressive! It’s very clean as is the toilet and the staff seem to work hard to make it a safe, friendly and welcoming place. The antiques upstairs are fascinating too, we bought a lovely bird cage, a totally unexpected purchase. Oh, I nearly forgot - the Victoria spring and fruit cake were unbelievably delicious! We will be definitely be back.

We stopped here for a cup of tea when passing through on our weekend in the Cotswolds. The woman running the tea shop was frankly completely unwelcoming and miserable faced. After ordering our tea, I asked where the toilets were and got the one word answer 'upstairs'. We sat outside and when she arrived with the tea, she tipped the entire contents of the milk jug over the table and down one leg of my jeans. I appreciate it was an accident but she could barely manage a one word apology. Despite us both trying to make light of it, she still couldn't be bothered. We drank our tea and left. If she is that disinterested in customers she might try another line of work. We wouldn't venture to Guiting Power again and would not recommend it to anyone.

I had a takeaway hot chocolate and sat on the bench opposite. Fiona was very welcoming and the cafe was buzzing with cyclist, walker etc. A really lovely feel. There are plenty of tables outside and a bench opposite.

Guiting Power is a stunner of a little Cotswold village. We were doing a round walk of a few miles. To find at tea shop )and antiques) in the village green was perfect. On entering we were met with a terse message that the place was closing in 15 minutes (it was 3.45) and the we could only sit outside. The tea was fine and I’m sure the cakes were too but it’s surprising how a bit of brusque ‘customer service’ sours the experience. So it may be good but I can only rate the experience as average. Apparently they have to be strict about closing because of the necessary cleaning they have to do because of Covid. I guess it’s tedious...
