Great little place. Lovely fresh produce and very cosy and welcoming. Dog friendly. Well worth a visit.

The food my husband ordered was really good. Unfortunately, my poached eggs were overlooked and edible, but the yolks weren't runny. I mentioned this to the young woman when I paid the bill, and she apologised, took this off the bill, and even offered me a slice of cake. So, food not to my liking, but full marks for a swift response to my complaint

We have a group meeting here every Friday morning. Such a lovely bright and airy place, serving great food and drinks

I organised my daughter’s baby shower here and was so pleased with the outcome. There were 28 of us and we were looked after so well by the team! The decor was just how I wanted it to be and the food including vegan and gluten free, varied and very good! MAW is the perfect place to hold a small function and I cannot recommend it enough. I come every week for a catch up with a friend, the owners are absolutely wonderful people super friendly and love to engage with customers. Everything is homemade and delicious today I had coffee and cheesecake and it was the best Cheesecake if ever tasted. My friend had coffee and carrot cake and again is was delicious. Best cafe around. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Old Downton Lodge is a very beautiful place. The staff are very friendly and attentive and our afternoon tea was delicious.

Senara never fails to impress the young servers,front of house are friendly and welcoming the young chefs are outstanding,today myself and two friends enjoyed a lovely lunch two of us had beer battered cod the most beautiful white fish and crispy thin batter and one had Celeriac Risotto followed simply the best Sticky Toffee Pudding three very happy diners.

Cosy little cafe with lovely friendly customer service. Best breakfast me and Dad have had since moving to Wigan. Defo will be going back for the lunch menu as its highly recommended. PS. Thanks Gemma for the home made slice of Kinda Bueno cheesecake - tasted absolutely amazing. Can't wait to try the Biscoff equivalent 🥰😋

Great value for money. Steak night at £23.00 inc a glass of wine & dessert. Service as expected from the students was very good overall. Would def return & often do. A credit to Dave, the team & the students.
