Country Cottage Bakery in Torridge

Walked in here the other day with several members of family, all looking for a hot snack. There was no menu or food displayed in window so 7-8 of us walked in. Whilst ordering we were told to leave (whilst some were still deciding). This was apparently as if the shop looked busy, then other potential customers wouldn’t come in. Poor attitude

TASTIEST Veg Curry Pasties so far in Devon! 819110393 It was a privilege to Taste Test and Review Pasties for Pasty vs Pasty Episode 3 on my YouTube channel Hairy Foody Guy. The pasties were delicious, staff very friendly and kind. The rest of their delicacies look shamazing.. I will return for more ... especially the buns! Recently ordered a celebration cake for my husband's retirement. The lady who took the order (Deana) was very helpful on each occasion that we spoke. They also arranged to have it delivered to the Westward Ho! shop for me to collect. The cake itself was lovely. Really tasty and moist, with scrummy icing. We've also had their Devon pasties, sausage rolls and all sorts of other tasty treats. The staff are always helpful and everything we have tried has been lovely.

Drove up to get a few takeaway pasties. Obviously had to stop and have a coffee and custard tart (Portuguese) I was pleasantly suprised to see the spacious outside seating and the reassuring dividers in side between the tables. Marvolous work to susanna and the team, very impressed. Coffee was perfect as usual. Felt reassured and safe coming in here. Well done! *****

We arranged to have one of the special fathers day deliveries brought to us so we could celebrate with cake and beer! It was absolutely delicious, and we sat outside and enjoyed it in the sun.

We have had several deliveries from the bakery during lockdown and will continue to use them. Great fresh food, some of our favourties are the cream tea, quiches, iced bunround, flaky Devon pasties and our son who is Vegan says the Vegan pasties are the best he's ever tasted! The driver and all the staff are really lovely and very helpful. We feel really lucky to have been able to have deliveries from them and cannot thank or recommend Country Cottage Bakery highly enough!

Have had a delivery and be in to collect. Easy, friendly service both times. Was sceptical ordering for delivery as I like to see what I purchase but was a delightful package when arrived. Driver polite, distancing rules maintained. Nothing squished great care taken. Will definitely order again.

What a fantastic service and quality goods. Have used a couple of times now for my parents in Bideford who I haven’t seen since just before lockdown. My dad has dementia and doesn’t understand that we can’t hug so this was my way of sending them both a hug! What better than goodies to show them how much I love and miss them! Thank you all. We had an order delivered early in lockdown it was amazing, wonderful quality, fresh bread,cakes, sausage rolls, quiche all arrived in perfect condition and the staff taking orders could not be more helpful and efficient the driver found us with no trouble (despite being a new build)

We ordered a special lockdown birthday 🎁 selection for our Dad. With us being in Hertfordshire and Dad in Westward Ho! we wanted to try and make it a special lockdown surprise. From start to finish the ordering process was fantastic. We were spoilt for choice and spent a while deciding what to have delivered! In the end we ordered a cream tea for 2, some jam donuts, a loaf of bread and a couple of cream slices. We emailed the order and had a phone call back within the hour to confirm and pay for the order. Dad was chuffed to bits when they arrived with a birthday message written on the boxes from his grandchildren! All of the order was amazing but the huge cream slices were a favourite! Our parents were enjoying the delivery for a few days! We would definitely recommend the bakery to anyone - the delivery service is great. My only wish is that they were local to us!
