We booked Sunday Lunch for 4 as part of my husbandâs birthday celebrations. The staff were fantastic throughout the service - very attentive and nothing too much trouble. I had the French Onion Soup and Beef Sunday Roast. Both were delicious - as were everyone elseâs meals. Highly recommend!

I rarely write reviews however with Briardene Hotel, I have too. From the moment you enter to the moment you leave the hotel and staff are far above what I would generally expect. Every staff member was friendly, polite, full of local knowledge if you needed it. And they take time out to make your visit special. The food was amazing, perhaps my general food is tasteless as as soon as I had the breakfast I was shocked at how good a breakfast can be. The hotel, every time I sat down and just looked around, I realised how someone had taken real time and effort to make everything work. It is far beyond a normal hotel. On a negative note. Briardene owners are asking for trouble though, a beautifully run hotel at a price that idiots like me can afford. Not clever.

Was in the area for the first time and stopped in. Me, my mum and her old friends who were visiting from over seas all were blown away by the warm atmosphere and beautiful views of the park all around. The restaurant is beautiful, and the staff were so friendly and polite. We stopped for a coffee and ended up staying for lunch! Couldnât resist after seeing what was coming from the kitchen! If youâre ever in the area I couldnât recommend this place enough - food was delicious, menu has great options and the service was excellent. And a kind thank you to the lovely welsh woman who served us, we felt very looked after. PS - the loos were also spick and span !đ

This place is an all rounder.. Fantastic country pub with a brilliant atmosphere, top notch service & the food is just something else. It is our local pub & we have been going for a few years, we pop in just for a couple of drinks the odd time but generally we go to The Patten for food as its the best in the area!! They put on quite alot of events over the year which are all absolutely class & you can tell time & thought has gone into them all... From summer music festivals, cowboy & western nights, taster nights (which we try make them all as they are outstanding) & they always have plenty of singers in over weekends too! The staff are always happy & there to help if needed. The manager Chemonie keeps the place running smoothly & The Owner/Chef is outstanding at what he does. You can see the passion he has for food with what he produces on his plates. With the weather becoming nice too I must add the beer garden is a wicked sun trap plenty of large tables for outside eating too! Get yourselves in & give it a whirl guarentee you won't be disappointed.
