The Patten Arms in Wyre

We had not been to the Patten Arms before but visited after reading the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. We received a warm welcome, the service was excellent and the food delicious. Would highly recommend and we will definitely return.

We turned up for Valentines on the off chance of a table. All the staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive, and a saxophone player provided the music. The food was great and they also allowed us to choose dishes off the normal menu instead of the Valentines menu. The atmosphere is warm and cosy. All in all, we have found our new ‘go to’ restaurant in this area. We will be back!

Three of us went for Matt's French Tasting menu. Eight courses, all cooked, presented and served to perfection. The wine served with the meal was excellent. We really can't speak highly enough of the whole experience. All the staff couldn't have done more to make it such a memorable evening.thanks, Chemonie! Having attended before for dinner and lunch my wife and I attended a French evening last night consisting of 7 tasting courses. The food here has always been excellent and last night did not disappoint. Everything was cooked to perfection and presented well. The waiting on staff were very polite and attentive without being over bearing. The chef came and spoke with my wife and I and it was nice being able to complement him directly. From the welcome on arriving to leaving feeling contented this was a brilliant evening and we're already looking forward to the next tasting evening, but will be visiting for lunch and or dinner in between. Highly recommend the Patten Arms for its excellent cooked to order food and pleasant staff.

We had a great lunch. Really good variety of food on the menu. We all had different starters which were excellent and 3 different choices for mains. The standard menu offered a good selection of dishes and the 'specials' offered even more choice. The portions were very generous so sadly we couldn't sample the deserts. The service was attentive and friendly. Will certainly look forward to returning.

Wow! The food was sooooo good! We turned up as a family of 6, we hadn’t booked and a lot of the tables were reserved but the staff were lovely and accommodating and found us somewhere to sit. Had the brisket of beef roast dinner and it was delicious, so tasty. The beef was tender, the roast potatoes were perfect, crispy and fluffy, the mash was the tastiest mash that I have ever had, huge Yorkshire pudding, veg lovely and fresh and really tasty gravy, followed by the New York cheesecake with blueberry compote and cream, so good! I tried my sister in laws baileys bread and butter pudding, it was delicious! Everything seems to be homemade, so tasty and the menu seems to have quite a variety, they have a specials board too, we will definitely be coming back to try more yummy food.

I arranged a surprise 60th Birthday party for my husband at the Patten, I was quite last minute with this, however, Chemonie the general manager was extremely responsive and helpful. We had full use of the dining room with Chemonie recommending a band - motion pictures when I enquired about entertainment, the band were absolutely brilliant and would highly recommend! We had pizza, fries and salads, the food was just awesome, staff were attentive and just kept things running smoothly- so thank you to ALL the staff. My husband and friends go to the Patten frequently, they have some really good beers and real ales, so knew guests were going to be happy with the drinks! Cannot fault anything, everybody had a great time, and we just had the best night celebrating 🍻🍕🎸🎉

We have passed Patten Arms many times on way to Glasson Dock saying we must eat there. Glad we did. We booked dinner and we were very impressed. The food atmosphere and staff were amazing. I absolutely can't belive that the food in this pub hasn't been recognised with a Big Gourmand. It's literally off the scale. The variety of the menu, superb specials, fantastic quality ingredients, wonderful service, great beers ... I could go on. Literally the only slight negative is that it's about time the men's loos were updated. But don't let that put you off. The place is brilliant.

Faultless service, incredible food with great produce and extremely reasonably priced for the quality. Definitely worth a trip!

We dropped in after some Christmas shopping in Manchester, didn't fancy the usual swill in Manchester so decided to try some where new on the way back to Lancaster, I had driven past multiple times and from word of mouth heard the food was fantastic. We couldn't book a table as sadly phone lines where down, but the staff are super helpful and let us jump on a reserved table before it was in use, this always makes my day as the idea of being turned away two hours before a table is in use irritates me. So the staff super helpful and cheerful and smartly dressed. We ordered food and some will say it's a little pricey for the rural area but my gosh, do not hesitate we got two roast dinners and a ham hock....the portions more than make up for price and the quality was outstanding. Drinks where good and a great selection We will most definitely return and we will spread the word as this was a fantastic winter warmer next to an open fire. Stuart
