One of my favourite restaurants

we had sunday llunch today.we were met by smiling friendly staff.the food and service was some of the best we have had.this was our first visit but we will be back soon.

What an absolute magical place, we sat outside with the patio heaters on and had the most beautiful meal! Service and atmosphere is perfect 🤩

My husband and I went for Sunday Lunch, Food absolutely beautiful, lovely relaxed atmosphere, very friendly and polite staff. Really enjoyed it will definitely be back and highly recommend 👌

Went here for a late lunch in the garden on a rare sunny day. It’s was a lovely place to relax. We had the Field to Plate grazing platter, chips and a couple of veggie dishes from tapas menu. We also had the pancakes with toffee sauce for dessert. Food was excellent, as was the service. Even though it was busy, staff were very efficient and friendly. Would definitely visit again.

Welcoming and friendly efficient staff. Wide choice of of fresh prepared food. We had Field to Plate and Sea to plate platters which were excellent. Range of meat on one and seafood on the other with accompanying sauces and salad. Very enjoyable.

We called on our way home for Sunday lunch after a weekend away, WOW this was the best food we have eaten out in a long time, I had the tempura calamari and my husband had the black pudding fritter, both had roast beef, everything was cooked to perfection and the staff were super attentive and polite, we will certainly be back, thankyou Pipers for a great experience regards Debbie & Mark Valentine

It is one of the best places that we have been to and the food was fantastic and can be compared to a lot of major city restaurants. The service was fantastic as well. We will be coming back the next time we are in Garstang.

Excellent food and service very good meal and superb food.

Such an understated and hidden gem of a restaurant. We had the most delicious meals on Easter Sunday , it was later on in the day and the kitchen had obviously been very busy but the standard was immaculate and the service excellent. Highly recommended and you will be spoilt for choice as I could have ordered any meal off the menu so will have to return soon to sample another delight ! Thank you Pipers !

After passing this place many times, I decided to check it out, and I wasn't disappointed, with great service and food at reasonable prices Pipers is definitely a place to visit if your looking for a great place to eat.

The quality of food here is excellent. I've had about six visits and the meal is always very good (some-one in the kitchen obviously knows what they're doing). The service is also very good; I blame the person in charge (well done Mr Piper! Your place is the best in Garstang). See you soon.

Havent been to Pipers for about 10 years and it was just as good as last time 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals, nice staff and really good food. Will be back to try the evening menu

Made to wait for someone to take our order, I had to go to the desk myself and ask, food was nice and tasty, priced reasonably.

Lovely restaurant in a very old & characterful building. It’s not the biggest restaurant so recommend booking as it’s busy. I had crab arancini & char siu cod, both excellent, lovely presentation & tasted amazing. Service spot on too. Recommended.

Nice food , great service, good price, nice atmosphere

Lovely evening had in the lead up to Christmas. Cosy ambiance, and a refreshingly varied, interesting selection of vegan and vegetarian options, meaning we weren't just accommodated but met with a happily difficult choice of dishes. Service from the two staff members who waited on us was friendly and attentive and went the extra mile. The food from starters through mains to dessert was full of flavour and excellent. Definitely hope to revisit soon

We had a lovely lunch at Pipers. The staff were lovely and helpful and the meal was excellent. I would definitely recommend Pipers for a nice lunch.

Family came up from Plymouth and the four of us had an excellent meal with lovely staff and great service

Hats off to the chef for preparing the chateaubriand in 30 minutes - it was truly exceptional and not a morsel went to waste! First class service and surroundings made it a most memorable meal. Highly recommended.

We were greeted by a lovely, polite lady who took our coats and showed us to our seats in this lovely, cosy old style restaurant. Complimentary bread and balsamic were brought to the table with water and then our drinks and food orders taken. The food was really outstanding and the service excellent throughout. I was really surprised at the quality of food and experience considering the value of the prices. Would highly recommend a visit! Thanks Pipers!

So very sorry am, 6 years l have been in garstang eaten in all establishment's and given reviews some very good some poor, excellent quality,excellent service l will be coming back very soon, thank you very much for a wonderful evening meal.

One of our favourite places. Fabulous Sunday lunch cooked to perfection. Great family catch up time with great food and great service. So nice not to be rushed and be able to enjoy the lovely surroundings and atmosphere.

First time here for lunch on a recommendation. We weren’t disappointed. Good service in a pleasant setting with a good value lunch menu for the standard. We had cheese garlic mushroom starter, Goosnargh chicken breast and cheese and onion pie. All were excellent. Will definitely return.

Went for an evening meal with family to treat them for hosting us. Really great fresh, locally sourced food. Couldn’t fault it. Highly recommend it.

Our favourite restaurant in the Garstang area, great food, varied menu and friendly staff and service.

We booked here on Thursday and it’s such a cute little place! The staff are very attentive and welcoming, the restaurant itself is very cozy and small. There is an outdoor area too which is lovely also. We didn’t have starters just mains as i felt it was quite pricey but the food is absolutely delicious. We ordered a bottle of wine which was very refreshing, I ordered the lamb and my partner had the chicken. Both really delicious and I had to wait 30m for my lamb only because of the way I had it cooked (medium rare) so I didn’t mind at all! Totally worth the wait!

Requested a table for two and planned to sit outside however was met with a patio smelling of dog and decided to instead go inside to eat. Food was fairly good ordered 2 tapas boards, drinks and side orders. Tapas looked bountiful but the large ramekins of dips made it look so. Food placed on table, no return from server, to inquire if everything was OK? Food was salty due to some items on board plate. Was thirsty wanted to order additional drinks. No server in sight, Waited & waited, we decided to takeaway the remaining and rehydrate at home. Walked plate over to front of house/ bar to box food and request bill. Found server eating at front entrance seating area. Unfortunately the customer service was not up to par and regret not going to The Kitchen Tap instead.

Absolutely delicious would Henley recommend service and food was outstanding we went for lunch and it was quite busy on her Wednesday afternoon so you might have after book in advance well worth a visit

We needed somewhere to eat for lunch as a family. It was a very hot day. We are only visiting Garstang and from the outside this place looks like a little pub. However they have an amazing terrace out back which really is paradise. Comfortable seating, plants and plenty of shade for a hot day. The service was great and our server was very attentive. We had an afternoon tea and they were very particular to check for and accommodate allergies / intolerances. They do a good kids menu which our son enjoyed. The afternoon tea was very generous and for 40 quid with two glasses of Prosecco represented excellent value. The food was very high quality. They drinks were good quality - I had wainwrights on draft which was exceptionally well kept and probably the best pint of wainwrights I have had. All staff were friendly, professional and accommodating. I wish you all the best success. A really great place. I wish we had opportunity to visit in the evening without the dog / 2 year old as I can imagine it is an amazing evening atmosphere! Thanks

Tonight was the first time we had been to Pipers. Our meals were stunning, staff were professional, friendly, attentive and very welcoming. The old 18th century building is full of charm. Relaxing atmosphere.. All in all I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

It was our 1st time going to pipers and it was lovely, the food was amazing it tasted great and presentable compliments to the chef. staff was lovely and very polite, the place was lovey inside and had a nice cottage calming atmosphere. And it was reasonably priced. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to have a lovely meal.

A really pretty place with friendly staff. We were made to feel welcome and staff were hot on allergies. The food was really tasty and reasonably priced. We will definitely return again.

We have tried to dine here before, but it has been too busy. We managed this time to get an excellent seat & had one of the best lunches we have experienced in some time. The food was excellent & very competitively priced, the service friendly and swift. We will most certainly visit again. ADDENDUM : We revisited this week and yet again this was a great experience. The food is excellent and the staff very friendly and obliging. This has now confirmed for us to be the place to eat.

Absolutely perfect outdoors dining, detail is key in this restaurant as is evident with their dining facilities, no expense has been sprared, no cheap and nasty cloth plucking wooden furniture here! Very comfy cushions, heaters, jumberellas and even blankets and biscuits for the pooches! The food is the best, by far in this area. With a huge choice. I'm veggie and I was spoiled with the selection in offer, let me tell you, that's rare! Just go and try this amazing restaurant, you absolutely don't be disappointed at any time, got breakfast, lunch or dinner. I've tried them all.

Never disappoints! If you haven’t sat in the beautiful garden that Ian & his team have created, you’re missing a treat. I had eggs Benedict today, followed by a fresh scone with jam & cream. Strange combination, I know but both absolutely delicious! My hubbie had the Pipers full English. He ate every crumb including the black pudding which he doesn’t normally touch. All lovely & freshly cooked & delicious. Thank you to the amazing waiting staff who carried on regardless of the thunder storm. Amazing!

Fabulous meal for my son's birthday! As I live abroad, I contacted the restaurant by email. Fantastic communication with them and placed our pre-orders (13 in total) beautiful quaint restaurant, quality local produce on the menu, food was excellent, staff were brilliant - couldn't fault a thing! A really special place for amazing food and ambience.

Lovely eating in the garden out in the back. Food tastes lovely, the platters and tapas were very appealing. Relaxed atmosphere. Protected from the sun with massive umbrella too.

We've been many times and it never disappoints. Great food with plenty of options, staff are friendly and helpful, the outside space means we can take the dog after a walk and when we want more formal evening the inside is just as fab, cosy and welcoming. A perfect place we love it.

Lovely little restaurant with amazing food and friendly, helpful staff.....

Food was 'okay' but not worth the cost. No wine list provided and the standard glasses of wine (Sauvignon) ordered turned out to cost £10.50 a glass, bit excessive! Service wasn't great, we waited quite a while for everything, yet the restaurant wasn't full. Overall impression was it was 'okay' but a bit pretentious, expensive and not a 'must go again'.

Excellent food, service not as excellent unfortunately. Had to ask for our order to be taken, then ask for empty glasses to be taken away and then after being given the desert menu had to ask for our order to be taken! Would 💯 recommend the food but for the prices would expect the service to reflect that!

I had to find a waitress to take our order then didn't rush . Ordered bottle water then had to ask for a glass . Wasn't even busy . Some training needed .

We waited almost half an hour before anyone bothered to ask if we wanted to order anything, it took another half an hour to get a cup of coffee and a milkshake. The food was ok when it finally arrived but an hour and a half to get a burger and a salad? First and last visit for us.

Just had a fabulous lunch here. Exceptional service from John and the team. Great choice, was actually spoilt for choice. Food was great, love the home made pipers fat chips. Great atmosphere too. Booked a table for 2pm arrived on time, order taken them good didn’t arrive until 50 minutes later I ordered the field platter the pate was very watery and no taste, the chorizo sausage was that hard when I cut it, it flew off my plate and onto the floor. 2 slices of salami and 2 slices of pepperoni a slither of turkey, my other half had the cheeseburger which he liked, we had mozzarella sticks that’s was £6.50 for 4 ! Def won’t be going back, £36 lighter

This was our first visit to Pipers and we were not disappointed. We went as two couple at 7pm on a Saturday. The place was busy, but not too busy. The atmosphere was enjoyable. Service was first class and the food was quite superb. Cost...

Absolutely brilliant meal out with the wife, enjoyed a rib-eye steak cooked medium just how I wanted it. 3 courses were all fabulous. Will definitely be back.

So this is our first meal out in our new town and have to say quite impressed with this lovely intimate restaurant. First impressions - if you are over 6ft tall then be prepared to duck throughout. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Food choice...

Visited here last week with child and other half… was greeted like peasants because I’m walking clothes and been out in the rain ( given garstangs walking community and farmers in the area we didn’t think the dress code would be a issue) shoved to the back of the restaurant waiting 55 minutes for food to come out - 1. didn’t get the bread we was told we would get 2. Was given two glasses when there was three of us , we asked twice for a extra glass it never came 3.child finished meal Before our mains even came out 4. Child pudding came out burnt how do you burn a pancake that took 20 minutes to come out? Would not return or advise any body to return as a local business owner this restaurant is pretentious and judging of who comes in and treats you differently based on what you look like.

First visit to Pipers and will definitely be back. Lovely setting and staff with delicious food.....what more can you need 😋

We've been here before, when visiting family who live locally, and love the food, so I booked a particular favourite table for lunch for the 4 of us this week. When we arrived my booking didn't show - by mistake I'd booked for the following day (I blame Christmas Bank Holiday confusion!) The staff were kind and understanding about it, and by an amazing piece of luck in the full restaurant, were able to offer us a table about to be left by other diners, which happened to be exactly the table we'd wanted, a huge relief! As always, the food was delicious (the From the Ground Grazing Plate is my favourite) and the staff were welcoming, efficient, and friendly. We all enjoyed our meals (sadly no tummy space for desserts), and look forward to visiting again - highly recommended, and huge thanks to the lovely staff!

Popped in on the off chance that there was a table available - was met with friendly efficient staff who took us straight to a table. Drinks service almos immediately and given plenty of time to peruse the menu before ordering. Food clearly freshly cooked...

Booked the festive 3 course menu. The food was delicious especially the crème brûlée. Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. So lucky to have this restaurant on our doorstep!
