Cafe Royal in Wyre

In Fleetwood for the weekend. Just visited a cafe "Cafe Royal" opposite The North Euston Hotel. Wonderful food at very reasonable prices and huge portions. Staff very pleasant and the cafe is very comfortable. Will definitely visit again.

Beautiful large portioned home made food at reasonable prices. Sandwiches are filling and the chicken n leek pie is delish. Very clean, staff are really friendly and attentive.

My wife and I called in here for coffee and a sandwich. The place was very busy and having seen the full menu I can understand why. Excellent 3 course roast dinner offer and a wide selection of meals all of which were enormous. Very friendly service and terrific value for money. Overall it has a genuinely lovely feeling to it.

Best cafe in Fleetwood chips are the best ever! Been coming here since I was a child, brought my children and introduced lots of new friends to it. Never disappointed.

Wonderful "home" cooked roast beef dinner and Still the best value around, If you do have to queue then the wueue is well worth it Absolutely lovely, efficient waitress.

I do not accept the last two reviews as genuine reviews to this wonderful cafe. Cafe Royale has been part of my upbringing for 40 years as it was my mother’s before. It has always been consistently fantastic. Although I haven’t visited for several years having moved to Australia I was talking about Cafe Royale to a colleague and stumbled on these google reviews. This is a family run cafe, the menu has stayed pretty much the same since I first remembered it all those years ago even down to portion size. Everything is home cooked to a very high standard. The 3 course menu was always divine and I enjoyed every trip up to Fleetwood when I lived in Manchester. Should I be in the Flyde Coast area again I will no doubt visit Cafe Royale. As I said, the last two negative reviews are undoubtedly false

TERRIBLE! Never felt more out of place and disrespected in my life. Excepted a nice break after a long day and was just treated like rubbish. DO NOTT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

I attended this cafe today for my birthday and it was a total disaster! The staff were so rude and ignorant there was nothing welcoming about them and had a really negative and couldn’t be bothered tone to their voice, it really ruined my birthday celebration. I had heard good things about the place so was really excited to go, but my experience was a complete letdown. It's such a shame when high expectations are met with such poor service. Hopefully, they can improve their customer service in the future. P.s. won’t be returning again after the awful experience and highly unrecommended

This was simply disastrous. We’d visited previously in 2022 when we reconnected with our Fleetwood friends that we’d not seen since moving to Ireland- it was great so we thought we’d revisit however this time it was awful. To begin with it is clear a level of neglect has happened over the past two years- the hygiene rating is a lie and definitely needs redoing. There was grime all over the floors, tables incredibly sticky and cutlery was simply not clean. I tried to dismiss the issue and look on the bright side. We ordered our food and it took a rather long time for just the drinks to arrive! When they did the glasses weren’t clean, had finger smudges on and as you lifted the glass to your nose an awful smell occurred. Simply disgusting!! My husband made a comment about his glass being unclean to the waitress but when she went to swap the drink over she refused and said I would have to pay again! It was around just after lunch so I order their “Portion of homemade tasty chips”. I can tell you now they were definitely not homemade, absolutely vile and the portion was more like scraps. To have a try of some real and TASTY chips they need to visit Ireland. So, to try and improve the inadequacy of the not so “tasty” chips I thought I’d add vinegar… mistake. After several shakes nothing would come out until I realised it was clogged by FLIES. Insects. By this point I had zero interest in eating at this filthy place. You thought that was bad? It gets worse. After expressing my deep concern for the fact there was flies clogging my vinegar bottle, I was met with a rude, horrible woman. The owner of this cafe. She was down right rude, aggressive and quite simply a heartless, incompetent and selfish lady! She took none of our polite advice and suggestions. Didn’t think of how her gestures and impolite attitude would affect us. We are devastated and heartbroken by how down hill this place has gone. Just horrific. If I could give you one piece of advice it would be to save you and your family/friends from this pigsty of a cafe. Spread the word!

I looked and found this cafe, looked okay to have a nice rest with the family, but i was wrong! service was horrible, food took ages to come and staff were very passive aggressive, guessing that was because were foreign. food was mediocre at best, be warned!! do not come here

Food awful staff very ignorant owners need to respect there customers never would I eat ere ever again, bill the owner thinks he is something else very rude, I would avoid this place like the plague, so many more cafes to choose from where you get good food and respect, and he’s wife is worse than him very ignorant not worth giving money to spend it else where

Delicious food! I didn't realise they didn't take card until we had finished, so we had to copper up. Thankfully we had the right amount but I was slightly embarrassed lol..

Fantastic place to eat and the staff are amazing. It is a cash only place, but there is a news agents called Pharos just to the left with a cash point. The waitress that served us kept my food warm while I was going to the cash point to get money out. The portion sizes are good and would highly recommend the chicken and chips (definitely get the gravy).

An amazing place not only location next to the tram shop. food is good and wholesome, nothing is too much trouble, very busy with home cooked food on the premises, no microwave warmer uppers like a lot places. Wines can eclectic reflecting just how things are, specials change due to availability and season. The staff all great both front of house and kitchen, Regarding the staff Sam the Swan greets everyone with a smile, Katie (Miss Mischief) and Eva is so entertaining come here most weekends, its quality is consistent, vary rarely found these days

Cafe Royal had me saying "good morning" to Fleetwood in the best way possible. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted fresh, perfectly cooked, and left me feeling satisfied without being weighed down. But the praise doesn't stop at the food. The service was excellent! The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure everything was just right. They really added to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. The experience was so good, it called for an encore. We actually ended up returning to Cafe Royal later in the day for their homemade scones. Let me tell you, they were worth the second visit! Fresh, flaky, and bursting with flavor - the perfect afternoon treat.

Lovely place for a bite to eat friendly service

Great place great food next to the tram terminus . Only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday ( Cash only ) Well worth a visit.

A Saturday lunchtime. This was our first time visiting this cafe and it was enjoyable. Good home cooked style food, we both had a roast dinner, one beef and one chicken (the chicken meal doesn't come with Yorkshire pudding unless you request it), both big plates full but more importantly tasted good. Very popular with the local elderly which is always a good sign and was very busy when we arrived (pics taken when it quietened down). We purchased scones to go and they were excellent too. Good prices, good food and good service.

Been coming here for a good few years, but this is the first time in a while because they only open Friday to Sunday, so with it being Easter Weekend we decided to have a ride to Cleveleys and then go on to Fleetwood to Cafe Royal for something to eat, piping hot food, lovely waitress, and 4 empty plates, they only take cash just in case you only use a card

Excellent value for money. Fresh, home cooked food. Blown away by the portion size, the picture comes under ‘light bites’!

I usually enjoy my experience today but today the waitress wasn’t able to cope. Our meals arrived before our drinks. I politely asked for our drinks and the wrong ones arrived at the table. I was given a large fresh orange instead of small include in the meal deal. The grandma of the waitress came out and had a go at me and said I shouldn’t have that orange and took it off me. I felt like a naughty school child. Not good customer service. Don’t have a go at customers when you get the order wrong and we politely ask for our drinks!

We arrived in Fleetwood on an afternoon trip by tram and came across this gem of a place across from the tram terminus. We’d been looking on route for somewhere but couldn’t find anything so we decided to have a late lunch in the Royal cafe and cannot fault our decision. We were a party of 8 and the staff made us very welcome and managed to accommodate us without any trouble. We sat down and looked at the menu and specials board before deciding on what we wanted. The homemade food was delicious 😋 We had the following adult meals: Chicken and leak pie with veg and chips, Steak pie with veg and chips, Prawn sandwich with salad Carved ham with salad and chips, Sausage and chips Child’s meals: Sausage, chips and gravy Chip buttie And the staff gave us a free veg bowl for our 11 month old daughter who loved every mouthful. I’ll definitely be recommending this place and will return in the future.

Lovely fresh, high quality "home cooked" type comfort food. I called in here with friends and had the mince and onion pie with cabbage, boiled and roast potatoes with carrots, peas and a lovely rich gravy. My friends had the cheese and onion pie, and the liver and onions dinner. All of the dishes were fantastic in taste, quality and very generous in portion size. I have to say, this is the best place to go in Fleetwood if you are after a proper homely lunch or meal. The prices are very good value for money and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's now my Go- To place when I'm in Fleetwood for a lovely meal. They've been in business for over 40 years - which says it all really. Keep up the great work guys - it's an easy 5 Stars!!

What a great find this was! We only wanted something light so ordered a hot roast beef baguette and a home made scone with a large pot of tea to wash it down. The baguette was so big we all had a piece (4of us) The food was amazing and very good value. They only accept cash but don’t let that put you off its well worth the money. Staff friendly and efficient. Place and toilets very clean. The Sunday roasts looked fabulous so will be visiting again to sample 😊

Well it's been a couple of years since we visited the cafe Royal, sadly on this occasion it was a disappointment. The carrots, peas and cabbage were still floating in water on my plate, the chips were as thin as match sticks and still in the fryer with the amount of fat still on them, The steak pie had been microwaved and the gravy solid on the side of the plate. The salt in the shaker was that damp it couldn’t be shaken out, do these people not know if you added a few grains of rice into each shaker it would stop it getting damp, just a thought. We were starting to wonder if it’s now under new management? I can say the only thing that was worth having this time was the pot of tea and the lady server who was pleasant but over worked and looked stressed but had a lovely demeanour. I’m afraid it will be a while till we consider visiting again

Best roast beef I've ever had, big generous amount and very well cooked. Lovely fresh vegetables and real gravy. Good value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a wonderful warm atmosphere. I will definitely be going again soon.

Best Sunday dinner in the fylde coast.

Our family have been going to this little family -run- gem for over 30yrs, when my parents were alive. We come over from Morecambe as often as we can. The quality never varies, always excellent & VGVM. If I said the tender roast beef was the best in the North West, I would be doing them a dis-service. It is wonderful, you do not need a knife it is so tender, and always a very generous portion. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the place is immaculate & spotlessly clean. Been today for lunch I had liver and onion very tasty and plenty of it .the other half had fish with chips and bread and butter again plenty on the plate but to much for her to eat .would recommend Cafe Royal to anybody and we were allowed to take our dog in that's a bonus for us

Massive portions superb chips

Oooooo we had a lovely Sunday lunch at a favourite haunt of ours- The Cafe Royal , Fleetwood Their fabulous chunky home made vegetable soup with crutons followed by a glorious roast pork dinner. sooooo delicious and home made cherry and apple to take home as we were too full to manage it lol I could drink a pint of their gravy lol So Autumn is officially here and good home cooked comfort food is the order of the day and a bargain at £14 for 3 courses x Thanks Cafe Royal ❤️

Great value for money. Been coming here since I was a kid in the 80 ' s . Always lovely home cooked meals. You get a lot on your plate the beef is so soft and delicious, the fish is fresh and beautifully cooked. I would say it is the best cafe around if you want fish and chips or roast beef come here!

Good sevice. Well cooked food.clean and well presented.The vegetable soup was a nice surprise very tasty . If only a selection of CHILLED white wine was available (I asked for ice cubes to assist chilling ) however it didn't prevent me from going back again . We'll run cafe .Well done to all the staff

This place is worth a visit and I will definitely be returning. The food and service was very good and the cafe was nice and clean. Good varied menu home cooking.

The staff are very friendly, place is clean, unfortunately flies on the scones. Starters are limited, just fruit juice or soup. My friend had the soup she said it was really good , homemade. Main meal was not the best, frozen roast potatoes, plate swimming in gravy, horrible school type veg. Apple pie was not the best, icecream was lovely, my friend had sherry triffle that tasted artificial without a sign of sherry. All in all horrible meal😢

If you are looking for a nice day out then Fleetwood is very good. The Café Royal, 21-23 Bold Street, Fleetwood is great for a main meal or tea and scones. Paula and Samantha were very friendly and professional. It is cash only so make sure you have some on you, although there is a cash machine about 5 minutes away. The scones are fantastic. The roast pork and roast beef were delicious. I travelled from Blackpool on the heritage tram which was nice. I decided not to go back on it as the timings were too short. The modern trams are available. If you want to burn off a few calories afterwards then take a nice walk along the front. Thank you to all concerned.

Top notch food and brilliant service

Four of us were on our first ever visit to Fleetwood, came by tram from Blackpool, staying over to see Billy Ocean in concert. We called into the Royal Cafe, for cup of tea, a scone and maybe a waffle! We ended up having a three course Sunday lunch, wine, and buying freshly made scones! The starter of vegetable soup was delicious, and the Roast beef dinner, followed by a very tasty and comforting rice pudding, all homemade, very good value for money too. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, despite all the tables looking full already. Just had the scones today with jam and clotted cream and they were lovely. If ever you're in Fleetwood, I would definitely recommend a visit here, open on weekends but well worth it. Thank you!

Called in last week after having a long walk on the front. Had the three course's Roast Beef, Soup, and Apple Pie for my wife and me, children's three course for Granchild and we all loved it good prices will be back soon Thank you

Wanted to call last time we had a stay over I. The motor home but queuing to get in. Easter Sunday this time, and we managed to get in, both had 3 course roast dinner. 1 pork, 1 turkey. Both were excellent, and a proper plateful. Soup to start, then 1 trifle and 1 apple pie. Stuffed. Lovely friendly polite staff.

A down to earth cafe with a decent menu. We decided to have the 3 course meal which was plentiful and tasty. There was a choice between fruit juice or soup and we both had the roast beef. For desert I had an apple and blueberry pie with ice cream and my partner had a sherry trifle. All this quality food was under £30 which represents very good value for money. In case you haven’t eaten here before you can only pay with cash!

Wonderful place been few times now and they do a good Sunday roast roast one of the best I had in a long time we travel from Lancaster for a good diner and they have 3 course's and two courses plus single and other stuff on menu all home made and clean friendly staff quick service lovely place with entry parking around and lovely beach near by and parks well worth a visit for the day out have eating out at many places but you won't get Bette then this for the value and food is quilty

We went in at a busy time but there were still spaces left. The staff were very helpful & friendly. I had liver & onions with chips & veg. It was delicious, but far too much. My wife had to help me out. She just had apple pie & cream, but thought the cream was a bit sweet. Including tea, the price was £14 (very reasonable). The atmosphere was clean & modern with easy nearby parking.

We usually go into the local hotel for lunch but were disappointed last time so thought we’d try somewhere new. What a find this was! Great food, busy cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Slight issue was the toilets being up steep stairs so my mother in law had to go up and down with help from us. Two of us had pies, the other the roast dinner. Everything tasted freshly made. We’ll be back here next time we’re in Fleetwood for sure. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely lunch.

Always enjoy a visit here the roast dinners are tasty and plentiful. The meat pies are delicious but I've had to say no to the free soup with croutons the last couple of visits as I'm too full to finish my dinner. The chips are homemade and perfect. Rice pudding was also delicious. We usually buy a scone to take away as we are too full.

Took my son for Sunday lunch today. Food, service, value for money first class. Ashamed to say I've lived in Fleetwood all my life and never been before. Will definitely be back

Called in today 3rd Feb 23. My wife & I haven't been to Cafe Royal for quite a while & we thought we'd have a change. It was well worth the visit, the food was superb, we had the 3 course lunch, pot of tea & 4 scones to take home for less than £30. Sam who served us was brilliant, very friendly with an amazing memory. Well recommended for future visits!

The Cafe Royal, is Phenomenal place to eat. Me and the girlfriend today 29/1/23, had the 3course special, a gorgeous hot big bowl of Soup of the day, a phenomenal Roast dinner I had the Roast Beef which was so tender it melted in the mouth, and brilliant portion, and all the trimmings, it was to die for. The girlfriend went for the Lamb chops which she said it was utter delishious, and had the sherry triffle to finish with a brew. All this and more the best place on the Fylde Coast to Eat, with easy transport links right across the road to the No 14 No1 buses and Tram terminus, for non car drivers. A Must Place To Visit, me and the girlfriend will all the time. Finally the Cafe Royal is totally small dog friendly.

We were on a week-end dance at the North Euston hotel but can't resist a visit to the Cafe Royal. I visited it each day while I was there with different friends. Its a place not to miss, home made food and scones to die for with very friendly staff can't go to Fleetwood without a visit there.
