As an adopted Stokie, married to a born Stokie when we moved to the Isle of Wight our currency for putting up family for holidays was oatcakes. Then covid came But we discovered that you delivered! What a relief (mainly for the family as oatcakes are heavy!) This is our 4th or 5th delivery and we are always delighted and stuff our faces silly for a couple of weeks.They are good quality and a fantastic price.While you can never beat fresh off the hot plate we still love these oatcakes and they bring us right back to Stoke ❤❤

I was born and brought up in North Staffs and ate oatcakes regularly. It's harder to find them now I live out of the area and Poveys are a perfect solution to this. Their oatcakes are delicious and reasonably priced. Also, their website is easy to use and delivery very quick.

Cold Sunday morning mid bike ride snack required and this was perfect. Sausage, egg and cheese double oatcake with brown sauce tasted absolutely lovely and really did the trick. What helps aswell was the service by Rebecca, who was very helpful and chatty. Also the price was very reasonable. Morrisons and Sainsburys stopped stocking oatcakes in Leeds but was pleased to find Poveys on line and now I always have some in the freezer. Love them with cheese and bacon 🥓 sometimes with duck with plum sauce or just cheese. Thank you Rebecca 😊

We get these oatcakes delivered to our home, probably weekly at this point! As we don’t live in the area anymore we’re very grateful that we can ship them to our new location. For those who have never had an oatcake, they’re so versatile, breakfast, lunch, dinner, sweet and savoury and Povey’s does them the best. Would 100 percent recommend for oatcake lovers and those yet to try oatcakes.

Ordered a few times from this great family company. Great Oatcakes, in fact perfect, a great family favourite. Our favourite serving is, Tin Toms in a Pyrex baking dish with crispy bacon layered on top, covered with a layer of Cheshire cheese. In the oven until heated through, and cheese melted. Then cut into slices placed on the the oatcake , rolled up, and eaten. A perfect family comfort food. Loved the fact that i got a hand written note from Rebecca thanking me my purchase , and asking to hear about how we enjoy our oatcakes. Thank you , love to support a genuine family run business.

My wife, a Cheshire lass, got me into oatcakes many years ago. Quite simply they are more than delcious. Grilled as part of a full english or smothered in butter and delicious jam. You could even make an obscure croque monsieur using them. We buy them online directly from Povey's. Go on give it a go!!!!

I currently live away from The Potteries and had never heard of an 'Oatcake' before arriving in Stoke on a Business Trip in 2019. I searched around the internet looking for good places to get some delicious food before my meeting and discovered Poveys Oatcakes. With not knowing what an Oatcake was, I asked the locals and they highly recommend them! I had a Sausage & Cheese and it was absolutely amazing.I then discovered that they now offer a Next Day Delivery Service which is an absolute game changer and I now order them on a regular basis. The other day I even discovered a note from somebody called Katie so Katie if you're reading this (if not, pass it on to Katie) it was a very nice touch and I really appreciate it.I can only presume that this "Katie" prepared the Delivery so once again Thank You!

Having lived here all my life and being a true Stokie, oatcakes are a staple part of our diet! Many have been sampled over the years, but since Mr Povey open his shop in Biddulph all them years ago, I’ve never eaten another type since!Fantastic oatcakes, fantastic piklets and the biscuits are amazing too!The staff are amazing, really friendly and Gary always goes above and beyond to make sure your looked after and nothing is too much trouble!!

I run a cleaning business & cycle to work. Without having my breakfast Poveys Oatcakes I wouldn't get through the day. I use the delivery service I live in Devon.

As a Potteries exile living in the Fens, how pleased was I to find that I could order oatcakes online and at a very reasonable price including delivery. I am now working my way through my 5th delivery of 5 dozen oatcakes and they are great! They freeze well and defrost nicely without getting dry or soggy. My go to filling is grated cheese and HP Sauce and I find that three for breakfast set me up nicely for the day.

Haven't lived in Stoke on Trent for over fifty years but still miss oatcakes, so it's good to know that thanks to Povey's excellent delivery service I can still indulge from time to time. Povey’s delivery service is first class, and the oatcakes arrive the day after they are made, so fresh and delicious! They freeze well, so I order 5 dozen at a time! I really love Staffordshire Oatcakes and normally buy them from any supermarket that selkd them. That became very difficult during lockdown and so I looked online and found Povey's. They are great value for money and are, without a doubt, the tastiest Oatcakes I've eaten. They're a wonderful texture and the best flavour. I now always get my Oatcakes from Poveys and will continue to do so. They're fantastic!

We originate from North Staffordshire and love oatcakes.We moved to Cumbria 20 years ago and have missed having oatcakes regularly. We have occasionally bought them from both Booths and Sainsbury's supermarkets but since the start of the pandemic we have not being going to the shops. About a year ago we came across Poveys and found they do postal deliveries. Since then we have been having regular deliveries. Using their website, it is easy to place an order and the delivery system is very efficient both prompt and reasonably priced. The quality of the oatcakes is excellent and we have no hesitation in recommending them.

We have ordered Povey’s oatcakes a number of times now. My husband first ordered them as a healthy alternative to what we were eating. So glad we found these, ordering is really easy and delivery is very quick. My last order came in 2 days. I cannot fault the price and more importantly the quality of the oatcakes. Whenever I visit the family in The Potteries I always collect several dozen Poveys Oatcakes from either Biddulph or High Lane. With lockdown I was so relieved that I could get supplies on line and delivered to Bristol. They turn up as fresh as if I had bought them in shop. Ordered a batch late Monday this week, they arrived Wednesday and most gone by Friday morning!! Family scrounge them and I have even tempted some Bristolians to partake of this delicacy. (They needed to be given instructions on how to use/eat them properly!)Grandchildren enjoy them so the tradition continues.Keep up the good work.

When we first ordered Poveys they were light and tasty, since they moved to their new factory, frankly they are tasteless, it is obvious that they are mass produced, that are up there with another local mass produced brand for quality

I’ve eaten poveys oatcakes since being a kid. And to be honest the recipe has never changed. I moved away from Leek over 10 years ago but whenever I go back to visit family I always buy a couple dozen to put in the freezer. The great thing with these oatcakes is the fact they are vegan, fabulous for my vegan friends. I enjoy them extra crispy on the grill, but even cold as a travelling snack they’re a great snack.Poveys oatcakes are a staple of a staffordshian diet and to be honest apart from a couple of mates and my step mum, it’s the only thing about living away from home that I miss!
