Excellent food and location we thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

it was okay, food tasted decent but portions were small for the price and had to wait a very long time to be served ,waiting staff were friendly enough

Came in at the weekend with a group of friends , place is nicely decorated to food taste but the food was a let down , the burger was dry and sticky toffee was tiny not value for money , it’s not the worst but not the best

A really lovely evening out! We went for a child free meal out as a treat and had a fabulous time at Duck Goose. The service was great, really friendly bunch of staff, the place had a really cosy atmosphere and the food was to die for. Absolutely loved it all, and we’ve booked to go back again for Father’s Day as I’m desperate to try their Sunday roast offering 😍

Sunday low key baby shower. Food delicious,service lovely. Sat downstairs very atmospheric but not for people with limited mobility and quite dark. Surcharge for bringing our own desserts eg baby cake and cup cakes.

Duck Goose offers a cosy dining experience downstairs with moody lighting and mismatched furniture. The food is well styled, utterly delicious and locally sourced. This is perfect for a special occasion and is hands down my favourite restaurant in Leek. I take people anytime anyone visits. Highly recommend!!

Excellent service and excellent food

Four ladies booked for our Christmas party. Lovely venue, good ambience, good food. I chose the fish, chunky chips and mushy peas, it was excellent, tasty fish, light crispy batter, beautiful chunky chips. Followed by sticky toffee Christmas pudding with pistachio ice cream, amazingly light and tasty. The staff were friendly and efficient but lacked awareness of the clientele, for example one of our group wanted salt and pepper but failed to catch the attention of the staff, 4 of whom were behind the bar, eventually she got up from our table and went to the bar to request these items. Unfortunately I faced the same fate when needing tartare sauce, which incidentally was delicious, keeping an eye on the customers should be prerequisite to the job, more attention needed sorry. However we all enjoyed our meal and the party was a success, we will definitely go again. Thank you.

A lovely little bistro thats been well thought out from the food to decor everything is to enhsnce the diner's experience. Food was heavenly ,service was thoughtful and pleasent . Lovely experince from stsrt to finish i cant recommend this little restaurant enough .

Went for Sunday lunch. It was superb. You really have to eat here if you are in Leek. It has a classy English vibe with great cooking.

Quite simply the best, not just in Leek; I'd stand them against anyone, anywhere. Amazing, seasonal fare with friendly staff, nothing is too much for them. Beautifully cooked, expertly plated, fantastic all round.

First time we went for tea last week and was amazed by what Jessica has achieved there, the food is so well prepared and presented by the whole team, excellent staff looked after us while there. Popped in for a light lunch on a rainy day. Good options - gourmet sandwiches through to proper hearty fare. Fish finger sandwich was great - homemade and battered with excellent chips. Extensive cocktail list. Lovely ambience and decor, with soft lighting and not too many tables - friendly family run place that deserves to do well.

This was the first time I’d been to Duck Goose and I was seriously impressed.The service was first class.Small things like noticing your candle had just burnt out and it was replaced within 30 seconds.Cutlery that wasn’t quite right noticed and sorted out without me even realising it wasn’t correct.The staff were amazing, really friendly and knowledgable. The food was outstanding, I had the T bone and it was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing, something to do with being cooked over charcoal.This place is seriously good. Check out the cellar it looks fab. I want to sit downstairs next time. Easily the best meal I’ve had in years.

This must be the 5th or 6th time at Duck Goose and it’s quickly becoming my favourite restaurant in Staffordshire. I took my Dad for his birthday he can be a bit particular, but he was made to feel so welcome and our host couldn’t have done more to help him through the menu without being patronising and having a laugh with him, she really made his experience special. Duck Goose is a Bistro at its heart and soul and that’s what resonates from the second you walk in to the second you walk out. The menu is the perfect size and it features more approachable dishes and some really exciting seasonal options. If you think any of the options are mundane, (fish and chips, burger, steak) give them a go and I promise you’ll certainly be shocked at the quality and flare to every element. But the best part of this little place is the service. Our host was outstanding again and again. I can’t wait for my next visit, thanks again 👍

Well this party of three men were very very satisfied we were warmly welcomed and listened to and made to feel like our opinions were important and the seemingly endless knowledge of our host was very impressive the food was top draw and drinks were equally as good 11put of 10 we will definitely go and recommend again thank you all

Booked for a birthday meal for my wife. Lovely and attentive service, great food and a pleasant atmosphere. Lots of great menu options and nice to see locally sourced food. We were 'all in' with 3 courses and wine and felt we had great value. We will return.

Food extremely good. Wonderful meal There were 6 of us so the restaurant added over £30 automatically to our bill as a service charge. As 3 couples we paid 3 equal amounts by credit card which was £2 short of the total. The front of house manager came over quite rudely pointing out the tip they had imposed on us was short although one of our party had already put £5 extra cash on the table. This attitude really put us all off from going again.

My husband and I ate here last night while spending a couple of nights in Leek. We were made to feel very welcome , the staff were very attentive and looked after us all night. I had the t bone steak which was amazing. The room was very quaint and beautifully decorated. All in all a really lovely experience. Highly recommend. Thankyou for a lovely evening

Flavours was powerful and the service was lovely. Would be nice for more vegetarian main options for my partner but the risotto was delicious.

Birthday treat and perhaps one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had. We opted for the beef and our lovely waitress was very clear on how we could have this served eg well done or med/rare. We both opted for the medium rare and it was perfect. Very tender and a good amount of beef. Veg in plentiful, perfect roast potatoes, smoked cauliflower cheese and a perfect homemade Yorkshire pudding, complimentary gravy was well received. Our dessert was sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, this was divine and came with plenty of warm toffee sauce. Heaven! Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff and two happy and full to the brim mum & daughter. Highly recommend and will be back.

Perfect pitstop after a explore around Lud’s Church. Treated my partner to the Sunday 3 course meal for his birthday after finding the place with already amazing reviews. Everything from the decor to the service was amazing. The food was unreal & we left with very full bellies. My partner also really was enjoying the playlist - some great songs on there. We will be back when we next visit Leek!

Exceptional food, great service, really lovely staff and environment

We had an amazing experience eating at the Duck Goose for our casual wedding reception of 11 people. We had exclusive use of the The Burrow, where we enjoyed an intimate 3 course meal and drinks. We spoke with Jessica via email on the lead up to the meal who was very responsive and helpful when we had any questions. Everything was organised perfectly! The service was incredible, and they could not do enough for us. We had champagne on arrival and the food came out quickly and exactly to order. The food was delicious, even for a large table, everything was fresh and cooked to perfection! Thank you to everyone at the Duck Goose for making our day so special and we recommend to anyone wanting to visit with a large party to get in contact and get booked in you won’t be disappointed! We can’t wait to visit again!!

This is now our third visit recently and once again we weren’t disappointed. The whole dining experience is a joy; thanks to all front of house and a big thanks to the Chefs team, our favourite fish & chips was a delight.

Came for dinner with my best friend and 2 year old daughter. The food was beyond phenomenal, by far the best restaurant in Leek and surrounding area. The trout tartare was exceptional. The pork schnitzel and flank steak were also beyond amazing. Sticky toffee pudding was excellent. Ambiance was fantastic. I cannot fault any part of my meal or evening. I will certainly be back. Thank you for the amazing meal and upscale dining experience that is severely lacking in this area.

Great atmosphere, great service, superb food.

This was our 2nd visit and it was just as good as the 1st visit with lovely food and service ,Everything is beautifully presented and very scrumptious,The only negative I will say is I think for the price the charcuterie plate on the starters was very expensive for 6-8 wafer slices of meat a few olives and chutney and 1small slice of sourdough ,This wouldn’t put us off returning and keep up the good work Jessica

Hands down the best dining experience I have EVER had. It ticks every box. Fresh local ingredients, cooked expertly in house. Really lovely welcoming staff. Warm ambient cosy atmosphere. Value for money. It is amazing and my first choice for every special occasion right through to a simple weekend treat.

Me and my partner had 3 course Sunday lunch today, when we arrived we were greeted with a lovely smile from I think the owner, we were then shown to our table which took us by surprise as we were sat down in the what felt like a cosy 1920’s style room downstairs, when the food arrived it was clear it wasn’t just your average Sunday lunch, all 3 courses were brilliant along with the cocktails, staff were all very pleasant, we will definitely be back.

We ate at the Duck and Goose for the first time last nite. Fab restaurant, was warm and cosy, great staff, great beer and wine. I had fish and chips, husband had burger. We felt limited menu but the quality of the mains were great. Only issue for us was the pudding, we shared a choc mouse, cost 9 pounds and it was tiny portion for the cost.

Fab little bistro, privately owned, service by Jessica who was very professional throughout - the place has a lovely vibe and great (appropriate) jazz music - to which you could actually hear yourself having a conversation with your dinner guest. Highly recommend.

Just had a gorgeous lunch at Duck Goose, it is a varied and different menu,the cheese souflee is outstanding and I have never had a lemon posset like it. It is a special place to go, the downstairs looks amazing too, although you need to go through the secret bookcase.

What a find. Flavours are perfectly blended and inventive. The food far exceeds the humble setting of this cafe. It is good restaurant quality cafe food in a really easy going setting. Hot salmon sandwich was lovely. Soup was curried cauliflower with sultanas and almonds, plus carrot bhaji. Just wonderful. Panna cotta stunning. This will be 'our' place in leek.

Went last week ...acceptable meal however was disappointed with the HALF a portabello mushroom and it was missing a tomato..(as per internet image ) .i asked for extra mushroom and i got another HALF...considering they are the cheapest item (after the greenery)on the plate i am surprised a whole mushroom or even 2 werent present

Went for a post wedding date night last night and oh my goodness the food is absolutely stunning. I went for the salmon and caviar starter, steak main and panna cotta dessert. Everything was beautiful. Highly recommend the parmesan fries! Service was probably the best we have ever had. Thank you for a beautiful evening.
