Peartree Hill Tea Room and Cafe in Darlington

Our office ordered from Peartree Hill Cafe the other week, there was about 10 of us ordering food. I messaged the cafe on Facebook and they were very helpful, getting back to me the same day with pictures of the menu and relevant information. We preordered the day before via Facebook messenger and my colleague rang up to confirm they received it etc. Food was ready on collection time, very easy process and the food was amazing! All homemade meals, including the chips. Great quality and would 100% recommend!

3 years my partner and I have been in darlington looking a decent English breakfast and I can honestly say pear tree gives the best breakfast in town. Plates hot, food is hot and tasty, nice atmosphere great all round, will definitely be coming again!

Sandwich filling delicious and generous. Cakes heavenly. Looking forward to trying the lunchclub.. 2 courses and drink £10 seems excellent value. Extremely friendly and ever so helpful with my scooter and dog. Nothing is too much trouble. Absolute treat to come here.

I have passed this place many times and having a bit of time to kill decided to venture in. Quite busy for a mid morning however i managed to get a table and ordered a bacon bun and a cup of tea, staff were very friendly and the service quick and efficient. Will definitely be back.

The 4 of us stopped in the village on the way Northbound to revisit some family history and saw the tea rooms off the roundabout in the village. When we saw it looked quite busy, we assumed it would be worth a lunch stop - and we weren’t wrong! The service was brilliant and the food god quality and reasonably priced! Would absolutely recommend a stop!

Came to this place by chance on the way through from a night away. It’s a lovely little cafe with great food, a lovely pot of tea and friendly staff.

Food was great, home cooked. Staff friendly and welcoming. Very cosy unpretentious cafe. Will be back.

Had lunch here with my niece. Staff were friendly and efficient and we did not have to wait long before we were served some tasty food. I had ham & eggs my niece the burger. We both enjoyed our meals. The best recommendation I can give is that I will happily return.

Called after early appointment and before next one. Time only for a coffee very nice huge mug very reasonably priced. Table service good staff.

Popped in here for coffee with a friend, which was our first time here. We were warmly welcomed by smiley, efficient staff and found a comfy sofa beside the fire-heater. The latte was large, hot and of a lovely flavour.....not just a cup of warm milk. My only disappointment was that we didn’t get a little biscoff biscuit on the side like a lot of similar cafes. The cafe was very busy and a lot of customers were having cooled breakfast.

Called in for tea & scones with my wife. Lovely local cafe. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The scones were freshly baked and delicious. Dogs friendly too which is great.

Went with my friend we had cheese scones and coffee , beautiful , lovely set up, staff were excellent and quick service

Called again today at lunch time busy but a vacant table. Order taken quickly. Toasted teacake, fruit scone a cappuccino and cold drink. As normal tasty snack and lovely hot cappuccino. Friendly attentive staff.

As always a warm welcome. I have never seen such a huge cup of coffee which is always very hot. Great value for a good cup of coffee.

Visited a couple of times for coffee but today I decided to grab a late lunch. The menu has lots on offer but there were two specials on which i couldn't resist. I had hot pork bun with chips and gravy followed by mini egg cheesecake. Both were resolutely delicious. The roll was lovely and soft and packed with thick tender slices of pork that had been cut off a joint and the chips were superb. Cheesecake slice was generous and amazing! What a fabulous little cafe, dog friendly which is great and the staff are so warm and friendly. I had poached eggs with avocado on soda bread with chilli shaving it was gorgeous and my husband and son had a full English breakfast which was hot and they said amazing. I know we will return ASAP and I so recommend.

I can’t recconend this place enough. The food and service were both amazing. The cafe is friendly, relaxed and the food and drinks are utterly delicious. The blueberry pancakes (a breakfast special) were the best we’d ever eaten and we’ve eaten them all over the world including New York! Seek this place out it is well worth it!

Good food, great coffee and friendly service. A real treat to find a nice cafe with a selection of healthy dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed a, 'slimmers,' cooked breakfast, very good value.

Called here a few times always a warm welcome and table service which is so personal. Food is lovely, freshly cooked using local ingredients, presented nicely and so tasty. Slimmers breakfast is great value for the price.

Called as arrived in Cockerton early for an appointment. Warm welcome ordered bacon bun and tea paid for then brought to the table. Bun very fresh and plenty of bacon nicely cooked. Very good value.

Had both take away and breakfast in cafe. Clean, people friendly and dog friendly. Staff always pleasant with a smile. Breakfast freshly cooked, good ingredients and great price. Poached eggs perfect. Will definitely be back.

Not wanting to search for parking in Darlington centre, we parked at Cockerton village, and caught the bus. We returned fancying some lunch, so called in. Atmosphere was pleasant, food was excellent, and good value. And they have a 5 hygiene rating as well.

Love this place!! We are regular visitors and love the friendly atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble for the ladies and food is gorgeous!! Also LOVE LOVE LOVE that it’s dog friendly!! 💙🐶💙

Been a few times now totally recommend it. Love that most of the food is local produce. My daughter especially likes the milkshakes. My favourite is the carrot cake 😁they even sell doggie icecreams

We had ham egg and chips portions very small cakes portions expensive staff rude we also went for Sunday lunch it was sliced beef from butchers

A fantastic down to earth cafe that serves great homemade food and coffee at very reasonable prices. Staff very pleasant. Not been open long, but seems to be doing well, which it deserves to do.
