Best Sunday Roast ever. The venue is pleasant. The staff are friendly and obliging. I highly recommend this pub for Sunday lunch.

We had a lovely lunch here at the George Inn. The food was scrumptious and customer service was amazing. Claire, Sally and Heidi were lovely.

Fuimos como un grupo de 10 para un cumpleaños de amigos. Pedimos nuestra comida alrededor de las 7: 30. Los entrantes salieron esporádicamente con al menos 10/15 minutos entre cada plato. Uno de los participantes tardó unos 45 minutos en llegar con una disculpa mínima. Una vez que habíamos comido los entrantes, nos dijeron que se habían quedado sin arroz blanco y que serían "compensados" con papas fritas. Los platos principales tomaron 2 horas y tuvimos que cancelar una ya que teníamos otra reserva para llegar. Casi ninguna disculpa se hizo por la comida tardía y la porción de arroz era tan pequeña que bien podría no haber existido. El chef salió a disculparse, lo cual agradecimos, pero hubiera sido bueno haber sido advertido sobre el retraso en el inicio. La calidad de la comida también era pobre. ¡Afirmando ser un restaurante caribeño y servir comida de mala calidad! No recomendaría ir allí por la comida, pero las bebidas estaban bien!

Amazing big fresh sandwiches, a big choice of fillings, on freshly baked bread, a choice of toasted or not, it gets very busy but moves fast. The staff are friendly and helpful. Starbucks drinks are sold here also, the caramel macchiato is the best! The meal deals are a bargain! I came here most days when at uni!

Popped in to try the food as it looked like a busy venue. The food was fantastic and the staff and locals were very welcoming and friendly! Would recommend this place highly. Very nice to sit outside and watch the world go by in the summer.

It’s gone! I’ve been buying my kids stocking fillers from here for the last 10 years or so and was mortified to visit today to see that the stall no longer existed. It always had a fantastic selection, both new and some of our old favourites. Very sad to see it go but the owner told me last year, that it had been a struggle since Covid lockdowns. It obviously took its toll. Farewell, but don’t know where I’m going to get my stocking fillers now!? Edible bank notes, bars of nougat, bubble gum, giant laces, jaw breaker gob stoppers…….😭

Llamado a Gregg's deeside hoy para almorzar con mi esposa en nuestro camino a Gales. Qué desperdicio de dinero y decepción. . Mi pastel festivo estaba frío. Y nada de pollo en él. . Total desperdicio de dinero... los disfruté en años pasados... pero la calidad es muy decepcionante y ahora sobreprecio. No se apresurará de nuevo para conseguir más.

Comimos aquí este mes pero el cartel decía 'Lyndseys'. Le preguntamos a un miembro del personal y me dijeron que los dos sapos cesado en 2013 Agosto así que un poco sorprendido por estas dos comentarios! ¿Por qué la gente examinar ahora?

Bien, ¿qué podemos decir de aquí más que en el tiempo que era un lugar para detenerse y comer como teníamos hambre en un viaje de regreso a casa desde el norte no era nada especial, pero igualmente no era demasiado malo, así que en conjunto era "normal".

If you like good wholesome home cooking then this is the place, service is great and the food is good and hot and the service is polite and freindly

We go to this hotel regularly, every couple of months for a few nights. The staff are wonderful, warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble(borrowing an iron, a fan and breakfast in my room when I didn't want to go down,due to back problems). The choices for breakfast are good,but dinner in the evening is AMAZING! The menu is Indian cuisine, freshly cooked when you order, and prepared by an Indian chef,using all fresh ingredients. The lamb shank dish is falling off the bone and the food so delicious that we ordered a takeaway dinner on the day we left. Amazing food( the best I've had outside of India!).

Tiny cafe, friendly staff. Jacket potato was good, although the grated cheese was still chilled. However, this cafe gets the thumbs down from me for charging an additional pound because I asked for extra butter for the potato. It wasn't even real butter, just a smear of marg in a plastic pot. As a result I wouldn't bother with a return visit.
