Pasties did not have much filling and were totally bland. Not what we expected from a genuine Cornish pasty in the heart of beautiful St. Ives! We'll try elsewhere, next time.

Visited the shop on the Wharf in St Ives and this applies to them only since we didn't bother trying the other ones and just needed a quick take away snack. Staff were surly, need retraining in how to deal with customers and the food took an eternity to arrive. We were served by a young lad and it was clear he hadn't been trained in customer service. I ordered a pasty, panini and a baked potato with chilli for us. Whilst the pasty and panini my kids said were OK the baked potato was small and hardly had any filling but tasted fine. I couldn't bothered to go back to the shop and raise it with them. Will not be returning.

We had some lovely sausages rolls unfortunately the tirade of swearing from the back kitchen between staff was unnecessary, the young lady on the counter was just as shocked as my two young kids and was apologetic. Management needs to have a word with the staff out the back.

Ok, this is not the best. After extensive sampling of Pasties throught the UK, I will just simply say that these are missing some of the things which make them special. Too much gravy. Too little meat. Too little ingredients (potatoe, cheese, onion, etc) which make them great. Crust is not flaky and luxurious. No added ingredients to amplify the meager portions. This is a tourist attraction, and granted it will not be the most authentic representation of the pastie (or other menu offerings), but it is not satisfying. I do not like to give 3 star review.

This is for takeaway only. Staff seems overworked, tired and very brusque but not rude. Just maybe had a long day. We only found one vegan option and bought it. It looked quite sad this Cornish pastry. Even as a vegan one it seemed undercooked and no colour on the pastry itself. The filling was alright. Nothing to write home about, but it felt as if we just filled our tummies with carb and veg. No flavour, no appetising pastry.

We had a great experience here, we visited the St Ive's branch. We ordered 3 panini's and one Cornish pasty and they didn't disappoint. I had to wait for the panini's but that was expected, they came out nice and hot and very tasty. We had a BBQ chicken, tuna & sweetcorn and ham & cheese. I had a near miss with a seagull as we ate them outside! Service was great, the queue was long but at lunchtime, it was expected!

I came here with my family and we ordered 1 pasty, 2 baguettes, 3 packets of crisps and 2 drinks the pasty was very nice and traditional. However, the baguette was doughy and soggy as it was packed with sauce. I didn’t by any means not enjoy my food but it was a bit too bread heavy and it killed the filling, this food came out at a reasonable £19:95 it’s definitely a good option when passing through the town.

Absolute horrid experience in st Ives branch of this "bakery". Service was rude and aggressive and totally ruined our experience. We simple wanted some scones, without any cream or jam as we already had it. They said they don't sell them without cream and jam, I said ok don't worry about it then she or it said "I'm not worried" how was that called for honestly?? Was so taken aback it took all my muster to simple say thank you and goodbye and not escalate a situation she or it totally wanted to provoke. Still can't believe what happened out of nothing.

Ordered 2 9" pizzas - one pepperoni, one Margherita with mushrooms - and both were freshly cooked to order and delicious. Very reasonably priced, too, and friendly service. However, went today at lunchtime for the obligatory pasty and were sadly disappointed. Firstly, it was only just gone 12 and they had very little left to choose from. Hubby went for steak and ale and I ordered the chicken and bacon because my usual choice of cheese and onion was not available. We assumed they would be hot (like every other pasty bought anywhere in Cornwall in the last 30 years!) and the server offered to warm them up which we accepted so she gave them 20 seconds in a microwave. We left the shop and I felt them but they still felt cold so I went back and she did it again. We reached a comfy bench happily anticipating our lunch to find they were barely warm on the outside and stone cold in the middle. My pasty was inedible in the middle so I just ate the edges and hubby manfully struggled through his but, even if they had been at a decent temperature, they wouldn't have been worth the bother. Who serves pasties stone cold?! Especially a chicken and bacon in white sauce! Definitely would not return for a pasty and would recommend you go elsewhere, although that might be a struggle as it seems like virtually every pasty shop in St.Ives is owned by the same company! 2 stars only because the pizzas were so good.

I don’t know where some of the people leaving these silly reviews have been shopping, but our experience of this place has only ever been exceptionally good. The bacon rolls are a solid start to any day walking down the beach - I’ve included a picture for you to make your own judgement. Hot, fresh, generous portions - Most importantly they’re tasty, nice quality bacon & grilled fresh whilst you wait. No ping from a microwave. We’re fussy foodies and these were mighty fine. As we’re the staff who cooked and served them for the past three mornings & my fella loves their coffee too. As for the pasties, I’ve never had a nasty pasty here. They’re pretty lovely, there’s never much left when we buy them after the beach. Lots of fillings, lots of options and for the past eight years it’s been consistently good and a favourite with our family. We take pasties home and they’re a big favourite. Don’t understand the negative reviews - Because we’ve had a very different experience happily. Jx

The lady who served seemed nice. However to top it off the service was worse from a different young lady. I decided to eat my pastie on the unoccupied seats at the front. My partner didn’t want to eat but was sipping a coffee from the business next door. We were then told we both couldn’t sit there as “you aren’t customers.” I protested that I had literally just bought a pastie and had taken my last bite. I was told in no uncertain terms to clear off and that they couldn’t support other businesses. So much for businesses helping other businesses after covid.l! I said I wouldn’t be back and the lady replied she couldn’t care less. There are loads of better pastie shops without the aggravation. Avoid.

Massively overpriced lunch that did not live up to expectations. Apparently the two roasts that were had on the table were good, but the hake and mash two of us ordered that sounded delicious, was measly portioned and bland. For £27 it needs to be better. The soy butter sauce was watery and bland. The mash was oily and poorly made. The fish was cooked well but there was too little of it for that price. The barn-like dining hall wasn’t great either - last time we went (some years ago) it was still the old pub, and all the better for it. Won’t be back.
