The best restaurants in South West

Lovely restaurant, excellent staff and food. Great choice of Nepalese and Indian food.

Easily the best pub in this part of Chagford. Good beer and cider ( careful now ). Upstairs is a TV lounge for sports events. Staff are great and very welcoming.

Been going to Nawroz for 15 years! The food quality & taste has never failed. Service nowadays can be hit & miss, food portions smaller than they use to be by quite alot. Overall it'll remain a staple in my family.

Disappointing - expensive for portion size. Accept gourmet cuisine but still expensive.

We went on a random Tuesday and the restaurant was fairly busy. We ordered a range of starters and mains and all of them were fantastic. Lovely staff and the food was brought out quickly. Would 100% recommend

Making you wait 15 minutes to then be turned down because they don’t have a table, even though they just gave a table to another group who turned up after us. Extremely disappointed .

I challenge you to find a roll without mayo. Maybe they cater to the British taste buds and it’s almost as if they are making a sandwich rather a sushi roll. For me so much mayo may be due to low quality fish being used.

Great vegan food. The burrito and treacle tart were both fantastic.

We are so pleased the pub has reopened with such a friendly team and great food. The Sunday roast today was absolutely delicious. It has a lovely pub atmosphere and is dog friendly. We can’t wait to return.

I've visited here twice now when I've been on holiday in Devon and I love it. The food is absolutely superb, I thoroughly enjoyed the 7 course tasting menu, and as a vegetarian, I felt there was such a lot of thought put into the dishes I was served. There are so many places I've visited where the vegetarian options are barely considered with just one standard option with zero thought to it. Jamie has put such a lot of thought and care into the dishes, which shows his consideration to his diners. All of the staff are so friendly and look after you really well, Clare is a wonderful host! The restaurant is beautiful with a lovely ambience. I celebrated my birthday here and was looked after very well. Everything was perfect. Will book again whenever I'm in the area.

By far the best for vegetarian food, the curries contain great big chunks of fresh veg with a lot of variety. I’ve had veg korma, biryani and mixed starters from here a few times now, and it never disappoints.

I genuinely cannot fault it. The packaging is amazing food is still piping. Even chucked some free onion bajis after hearing about how a fellow kebab house robbed me £35 same night. Would deffo recommend , the guy on the phone was so polite and genuinely turned our shit night into a great one! Thank you GURU J !!!
