We went to Pomegranate for dinner last night and had the hot and cold mezze platters between the two of us. We both loved the baba ganoush and melitzano on the cold platter in particular. The hot platter was also very good too. I'm usually not a fan of borek, but this one's very light pastry and tasty filling means I'd definitely enjoy it again. We were both big fans of their Turkish chorizo. The staff were really nice and welcoming: it felt genuinely friendly and warm from the start to the end of our evening. It was also great value for money. My only suggestion might be to not have olives on the hot and cold mezze as we had a lot of them, and to make the by-the-glass wine a bit bolder on the menu as I missed it initially. We've been to all the other similar cuisines in Bath, and Pomegranate is definitely the best we've had. We're looking forward to going back soon for their lunchtime special deal, and also to try some of the mains.

Dined at Pomegranate and ordered the lunch special. The food was fresh, authentic Turkish/Greek cuisine, with several dishes garnished with pomegranate. The cold mezze platter was exceptional and so filling we struggled to finish the delicious main course. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall a very enjoyable experience. As regular visitors we plan to return to Pomegranate, for the dinner service next time we are in Bath.

Visited here for a late evening meal on visiting Bath on a Wednesday evening. The area was very quiet but a warm welcome received on walking in. We were the only people in the large hall but it enabled us to look at its smart décor. The waiter was very charming and the food arrived quickly and was well enjoyed. Encouraged to try a butternut squash for sweet, which I would recommend. Covered in honey and walnuts if was a pleasant surprise. You must give it a go!! When I visit Bath I will visit here again! I really don't understand why other reviews are so negative after the experience we received?

We booked on-line for Valentines Day and chose the ordinary menu as we wanted to experience Turkish food. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were told we could only have the Valentines 3 Course Menu - basically English food. There was no explanation as to why this was the case. We would have left there and then but didn't fancy our chances of finding another restaurant that late. The waitress made a careful note of my partners dietary requirements but totally ignored me. As a result, when the "romantic shared starter" arrived, half of it was missing. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she didn't even apologise. Some more of it arrived but not all of it. In between courses, the waitress took some of the plates away but not all of them. after 10 minutes I had to remind the waitress to clear the remainder of the plates. The main course was bland and unimaginative and we left most of it. There was no alternative dessert for my partner so we didn't stay for the third course. I did speak to the manager who agreed to reduce the bill but it doesn't really compensate for a ruined meal and a ruined evening. Poor management, poor service and poor food. Happy Valentines Day? I don't think so!

We walked past this retaurant one morning and later in the day read a glowing review in the Bath Magazine, so decided to book a table that evening. All four or us thoroughly enjoyed the food and not a crumb was left on any plate afterwards! The service was warm, helpful and informally courteous. The two course deal was great value too. We will return for sure.

We always loved the Pomegranate restaurant when it first opened in Keynsham quite a few years ago and visited regularly. We were sad when it closed and were over the moon when we saw that it had opened in Bath. The food was delicious as always. Our favourite always used to be the tapas dishes so we ordered from the a la carte menu but excellent options for 2 and 3 courses were available on the set menus. We also noticed that there is a special valentine menu coming up. It's our favourite restaurant all over again!

Visited for an evening with friends. Had eaten there before when it was in Keynsham but not since it moved to Bath. We weren’t disappointed. It is in a lovely old building but warm and cosy. Food is Turkish/ Greek and really delicious. Had chickpea fritters on hummus to start and chicken shish for main. Both courses were beautifully presented and delicious. Also had a lovely bottle of Turkish white wine, never had that before but would def recommend.

We used to visit this restaurant when it was in Keynsham. We have now been to their restaurant in Bath a couple of times. What a lovely mid week meal we had here tonight. The starters and main courses were absolutely delicious. A great price and the Turkish wine we chose was lovely. Great friendly service too. We love the setting in an old converted chapel. Highly recommended.

Stunningly bad dinner Restaurant price, but the quality of cooking was way worse than local takeaway. In fact, that would have been an insult to the brilliant takeaway in Bath. Food was bland to no favour, despite the food combo looking good on paper. The chicken was dried and lacked flavour. The salad was mushy and tasted like they were 2 days old, covered with an excessive amount of red cabbage, maybe to cover up, again it tasted of nothing. Th king prawn mezze was shocking, no favour, prawn was not cooked properly, tasted like it was boiled in a very diluted sauce. The samphire was dead with no bit and no favour, which is pretty impossible to achieve. The whole dish tasted like microwave reheated work. The rice was stale and also tasted like microwave rice from the shelf. I have to asked for seasoning to try to make the food editable, it was that bad. The only good thing is the hummus, but anyone can make a good hummus... I could easily get takeaway 2/3 the price and taste better. The disappointment seems quite consistent and I wonder if this is from a change of chef or something. Overall, it was a waste of time, money and calories. The menu was very limited too. There are better places in Bath and I highly recommend everyone to avoid this place for now. Service was great 👍🏻

Atrocious. The worst dining experience we have had in a long time. Appalling service - we had to chase our main courses an hour and a quarter after finishing our starters and the staff could not have been less interested. This was unfortunately compounded by the blandest main courses we've come across in years. We've had better microwave meals. And why ask if it's a special occasion on booking (which is was), if you don't intend to do anything about it? An expensive disappointment.

My friend and I really enjoyed our meal at Pomegranate. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about our dietary requirements. Food was full of flavour, and it was lovely to have some of their small plates as well as a main. We opted for the moussaka which was lovely. The restaurant itself is beautiful too. I’d definitely return.

Just appalling overall. Waited 15/20 minutes to have a drink order taken, had to ask 3 times for a jug of water, no attention to detail in the service whatsoever throughout the evening. No glasses cleared from the table all the evening, no checking in from the staff, an hour wait between starter and main, food boring and dull (rice was clearly from a microwave punnet as it was a mixture of hot and cold), and a 10% service charge automatically added. When asked for this to removed, no effort or interest to find out why, then waited 15 minutes for them to return to take payment, as we sat with our coats on and all the staff stood around with their hands on their hips. Really inexperienced and poor. Overall a huge disappointment - it feels like everything has been done cheaply. Utter waste of money - don't go.

We stopped here as we were across the road at the Bath aqua glass and it was conveniently at walking distance to the city centre with the kids. The staff member Dan was nice, put us at a nice table and took our orders. The building itself seems like it was once a church, has high ceilings and open, well lit with clean bathrooms. Since we were all vegetarian, we went for the lunch deal with grilled halloumi and the kids version for the children. Also had falafel and baba ghanouj for starters. The best thing was the baba ghanouj and the smokiness of the grilled halloumi. Perhaps the salad is worth a mention but otherwise, the food was extremely lack lustre. We love middle Eastern and Turkish food and have eaten at several places but this was a huge let down. Surprised to see so many positive reviews. For a start, the felafel looked like and tasted exactly like the things I buy occasionally from Waitrose or M&S for a quick meal. Soft and soggy, not crisp and crunchy like a fresh one should taste. The main was a 6 pieces of grilled veg and 2 pieces of halloumi on very bland tomato sauce with rice that wasn't tasty at all. Middle Eastern rice is meant to be long grain, full of flavour (like basmati) and the smell takes you in before the taste. Not this one, sadly. Finally, made the mistake of ordering dessert which was a tiny piece of baklava and very crystallized vanilla ice cream. For this, we coughed up £90 (including a 10% service charge) and can't say that it was worth it for us. Won't be returning here anytime soon or recommending it to anyone. Sorry !

Won’t be returning. We are here with friends. It took an age to get a drinks order taken, 30 minutes to be exact. Very slow waitresses. The food was drab, we had a cold and hot mezze platter, passable. I had the moussaka which was so small a portion and nothing special. Chicken Shish with plain boiled boring rice, very bland. Dessert we choose two baklava , the size of the baklava was minuscule 2inches by one inch, £6 what a total rip off that was. Won’t be going back or recommend. Much better places to dine in Bath
