Fantastic food and very friendly landlords. Chris and Jamie always go above and beyond with their effort including my veggie sausages on the hob as soon as they saw me getting out of the car! Lovely atmosphere, spectacular seasonal decorations and beautiful floral garden we enjoy in the summer.

Wonderful local pub with so many regulars. All are made to feel so welcome. Run by two lovely hardworking chaps who go above and beyond. Gorgeous summer garden too.

Absolutely amazing local pub in Bath. The food is amazing! The hospitality of Chris and James is fabulous! In the summer, the beer garden is a floral delight… clearly lots of hard work put in! Well worth a visit if you are visiting Bath for the weekend.

Absolutely fantastic local pub! The food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic! Run by a friendly couple who always make me and everyone else feel welcome! One particular highlight to note… their beer garden is amazing… a spectacular floral delight… worth a visit in the summer (pick a sunny day and enjoy a beer in it)! It is street parking so you might need to drive around for a minute to find a space… usually lots just up the hill… and only a minute or so walk away.

Wonderful pub with lovely owners. They always go out of their way to make you feel welcome and are always so sweet to my dog too. Inside is spacious and cosy and the beer garden is absolutely stunning. Great food and great atmosphere.

Chris and Jamie, are the most lovely welcoming landlords you could ever meet. We go to this delightful pub every time we visit Bath. They bend over backwards to make sure our visit is fab each time. I wish there were more pubs like this!! It’s well worth a visit and probably best to book in advance if you want food as it’s really popular!

A VERY RACIST EXPERIENCE FROM SERVICE, THE SECOND WE WALKED IN! If you are looking for a nice comfort environment to have a drink, go anywhere but here!!

It was new years tonight and we were refused service by a shaved head looking bloke at the bar whilst other people were being served drinks. He said it was because we came in from “other bars” around Bath. One, so what if we did. Two, we came straight from dinner and fireworks for a drink before we called it a night. I do believe it boiled down to racism and they were serving everyone else. We were sober and we were acting with class and decorum so to be treated like this, that’s the only thing I can boil it down to. It’s a shame as previous visiting this pub by myself without my POC friends I had a positive experience which further makes me think this is the true reason of the issue. Wouldn’t recommend coming here and certainly won’t be coming here again which is a real shame as I live around the corner and used to have a positive opinion of this place. Not anymore.

Absolutely brilliant local pub. Ran by two of the most accomodating landlords who always go out there way for people whether they are locals or not. To see the recent reviews on here by a couple of upset customers on new years eve is shocking and as for the racism claims you should be ashamed to go that low. very desperate attempt to make them look bad hopefully Google will remove the nonsense comments especially with serious fake accusations like that.

Just had THE most lovely Sunday Lunch here. Been a few times before but today there were 8 of us. Fabulous roast chicken (and roast beef) with lovely Sticky Toffee Pudding after. Very reasonably priced and great staff. Thoroughly recommended.

Un gran pub para comida y bebida. Tienes una gran bienvenida de los landords en este lugar. 12.10.2024 myself and my two daughters visited this beautiful, friendly pub. I texted Jamie if is possible to book table for evening due to I visited city to celebrate Birthday of my two daughters. Jamie went above and beyond, reserved table with Birthday decoration, entertainers singing happy birthday with all guest and brought beautiful birthday chocolate cake. Evening food was very tasty, well presented . Well recommended, ❤️ Thank you to Jamie and Chris great hosts.

Small pub in a residential area. Parking is based on luck. Sunday lunch for 4 on this occasion. Mighty portions, well cooked. Chicken was very moist. Couldn't eat all of it. Couldn't manage a pud. Friendly locals and Lovely staff to boot. You should try it.

Always have a great time when we visit the Fairfield Arms pub, we always enjoy what ever food we have, be it the best Sunday Roast or the Thursday Curry and a drink night. Jamie & Chris host the best entertainment evenings and Sing a long Bingo with Stacey Charles did not disappoint (neither did the amazing ploughman’s) Looking forward to our next visit..

Very good full English breakfast, served buffet style. They covered all the bases: eggs, sausages, black pudding, bacon, hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes, even fried bread. Eat inside or outside. Good English pub.

Cannot be beaten as a locals local. Hosts are so welcoming and hard working. The pub food is first class and great value. Home made scotch eggs yet to be tried as on a diet but get rave reviews. Drinks menu is up with the times and constantly changing guest ales and gins etc always perfectly served. Rare to find a good pub garden in Bath but here it is, small but gorgeous.

Cannot fault our hosts Chris and Jamie for: hospitality, friendliness, generosity, value for money, quality food from the kitchen, range of perfectly served drinks from the bar and arguably the best beer garden for miles around. Masses of effort goes into decs for Halloween, Xmas etc too. Tonight's entertainment was such fun with Stacey Charles, a talented gutsy singer whose name we will watch as her career progresses. So lucky to have this local and recommend Sunday lunch whatever the weather throws. Recommend

My husband and I recently had a lovely weekend break in Bath. We visited The Fairfield Arms for dinner on the Saturday night. We both opted for their very popular homemade steak and ale pie. We both commented that it was the best pie we’ve ever had. The steak was plentiful; very tender and flavoursome. Chris and Jamie, the landlords, were so very welcoming, as were the locals, that we extended our evening to enjoy the karaoke that was the Saturday evening’s entertainment. We are so glad that we did as it was a great night with a fabulous atmosphere. As we enjoyed the food and hospitality so much, we even returned on Sunday lunchtime to enjoy a stunning roast beef dinner (with the most delicious gravy!). We are returning to Bath in the Summer and we already know that a visit to The Fairfield Arms will be a highlight.

This pub is very well run. We enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast. The staff were Friendly and accommodating and they couldn't do enough for a large group of us. It's a 20 min walk into the centre of Bath with stunning views. Highly recommended.

We go to the Fairfield arms quite often and the guys who run it are fantastic. They are always welcoming and up for a chat. There’s also a fantastic games selection. Drinks selection is great! Can’t recommend a better pub in Bath for a chilled friendly vibe.

This excellent pub with a warm welcoming hosts and great atmosphere is my favourite go to pub restaurant in Bath, the landlords have created something very special here, a sense of community yet making new visitors feel very welcome. Expect great fresh wholesome home made food, excellent real ales, lager wines and spirits and so much more, oh and great barista coffee!! Add live music, dancing and friendly locals and you have the perfect escape from city life. The real test of course is to try this place for yourself and I wholeheartedly recommend that you do!!

Always made welcome here by the landlords and locals - very friendly pub - food is great (love the steak pie and roasts) and looking forward to spending time in the beer garden when the weather warms up.

The Fairfield Arms is a very welcoming pub - Chris and Jamie who run it are so friendly and can't do enough for you. I've visited many times for drinks and dinner and every single time it's been absolutely top notch. Portion sizes are huge! Definitely very good value for money - and they're very happy to provide a doggie bag if necessary! There's a great selection of food on the menu and there are frequently specials too. The homemade beef and ale pie is amazing!! There are veggie and vegan options which I sometimes choose (even as a carnivore!) and they are just as yummy. If you just want a drink and a snack there are plenty of choose from; lots of varieties of crisps and even hot pork scratchings! The beer garden is immaculately maintained and is a fabulous place to sit on a sunny afternoon, enjoying the best of the British weather. It's definitely our favourite local - a very sociable and welcoming atmosphere and a real asset to the community. Thank you Chris and Jamie!

Great Sunday Lunch . normally I can take or leave carrots and parsnips but these were beautifully cooked , but such a big portion I sadly couldn’t eat it all , definitely going back. But beware if your aged because of the steep steps 😊

Well where do I start , myself and wife went in for a curry and pint about a year ago just by chance ! Well well since then we have become more than regulars the landlords Chris and Jamie ABSOLUTELY top blokes and what a laugh along with all the locals you will not find a pub more friendly or more welcoming and I will say the food is dynamite, the roast is the roast of roasts , if honest we used to go every pub in bath Center now it’s just Fairfield arms , and we won’t even mention karaoke night 😁, you won’t be disappointed trust me

Excellent breakfast. Really enjoyed our breakfast in this cosy friendly local. Food was really good quality and you can top up on your favourites! A perfect start if you're planning Super Saturday for the rugby, or any day. Highly recommended.

We popped in on a Thursday which was curry night. The two curries were very good, as were the house wines and choice of beers. Cozy, comfortable, just the tonic fof a cold wet evening.

Having moved into the area, we thought we'd try one of the locals for a drink or two. Well a few hours later, we were still there and feeling right at home! Jamie and Chris welcomed us with open arms in a very relaxed way. I usually don't look forward to a roast dinner out as I like to cook, but we thought we would chance it a couple of weeks later and we were incredibly impressed!! So delicious (perfect gravy I could have had by itself in a mug), mounds of vegetables, a massive yorkie, fab potatoes and great meat. Honestly worth more than we paid, and thoroughly enjoyable. Boys, we will be back!!!

What a fantastic find! We googled pubs near to our base near Bath centre for a drink and this popped up. A small and inviting place, real open fire, very festive and a warm atmosphere. We had drinks early Friday evening and then, booked for an early dinner on Saturday before we headed to the theatre. We were welcomed back and sat at the same table next to the open fire. The food was so good!! Plenty of it and well presented. Our taxi, due at 7pm did not turn up, the owner and chef set about helping us as we needed to be at the theatre for 730pm! They called a taxi service, checked Uber and even had their car keys in their hand to ensure we got there - incredible, the Christmas spirit is alive and well! So thank you both for wonderful fayre, a welcoming environment and for your overwhelming kindness and generosity!!

An absolutely superb Sunday lunch. We had a table booked for 10 of us, some of us had a starter with a huge Prawn Cocktail on offer which those who had it remarked how good it was. I had the Tomato and Basil soup which was first class, it came with white bread and butter cut into triangular sandwiches which I thought was a nice touch. The Christmas menu was the order of the day with a choice of either Turkey or Beef with all the trimmings and it certainly did not disappoint. Very generous portions of roast potatoes with the accompanying vegetables and a fluffy Yorkshire pudding and pigs in blankets. I had the beef which was cooked to perfection and I tried some of my wife's turkey which was just as good. The service was first class and Jamie and Chris are great hosts in a pub that I have known for many years. It was beautifully decorated for the festive and we sat next to an open log fire, just perfect for a snowy cold Sunday outside. If you live in Bath or the surrounding areas, this place is well worth a visit, I cannot recommend it highly enough, you will not be disappointed.
