Ok, but maybe a little expensive. I'll preface this by saying I haven't been to a tapas place before, so I don't have much to compare it to. From what we had, the food was just ok. The bread and hummus was really good, the chicken was nice, the patas bravas ok and the meatballs weren't that nice in my opinion. Staff were a little slow to take plates away and check for drinks considering we were the only people sat inside at the time. The sangria blanca was really good, I'd probably come and enjoy a pitcher of that, sat outside rather than the food if I came again

Absolutely amazing place! We stumbled upon Pinxto on a weekend away to Bath and had a great evening there. We ate in the garden which feels really secluded and cosy with the trees and lighting. It started to rain so the awning was pulled across the terrace and it added to the coziness. The food was exceptional! The garlic prawns were an highlight and also the beef croquettes. And the staff were so friendly. 100% recommend.

First of all, food was good, but when asking for a table for five the maitre de looked shocked. Then came out and- as if doing us a huge favour - asked us to take a seat at a high table (that was no problem). No server told us their name or made us feel welcome. communication was minimal. Food was very good and came out in a timely manor. When the bill came around we declined the OPTIONAL 12.5% service charge as we did not feel it was warranted compared to other experiences. We were then GRILLED by the maitre de taking our money as to why we wouldn't tip. I'm not going to have a confrontation with a server in front other customers. The service charge is OPTIONAL, this shouldn't even be a debate. We are not in the USA, we are paid a good wage. Poor form.

I spent two weeks in England, touring much of the south of the island. This place is the only one that made me say: it's not worth it. Did you eat well? Yes, but nothing exceptional. I would only point out the chicken skewers, very good. The rest was mediocre in my opinion, especially the potatoes which made me think of a low level dish. The wine, which was a lot on paper, is ruined by the fact that it is served at room temperature, therefore hot — I recommend ordering beer. Prices seem excessively high (£90 for two) for tapas. “Recommended” service at 12.5%, paid to avoid controversy, but left on the stomach.

Really tasty food served quickly. We were advised there could be a wait for the table, but we didn't even have time to order a drink before we were seated. Everyone was very friendly, the food and wine were delicious, the tables were a little too close together but the room is small so not much can be done about that.

My partner and I dined here and were terribly dissapointed. First, within five minutes of placing our order for four tapas dishes they arrived at our table. Spicy chicken wings Tortilla Pork belly And pemientos patron. Now, I'm from London and frequent Barrafina where the food is prepared to order. I've also travelled extensively through Spain. I'm OK if some of the food is prepared in advance. But let's start with the chicken wings, baked, gelatinous, the skin was disgusting, the meat fell off thr broken wing bones and it was not spicy at all. The chef obviously baked them earlier in the day and microwaved them. I had one bite and sent them back. Now the Tortilla, yes it is OK to make this in advance, nice portion but dry snd difficult to cut through as bottom was bit over done. The aioli was not....I had to ask the manager what it was supposed to be. Not a hint of garlic, the key ingredients. The pork belly was actually moist snd a nice portion but had very little if any seasoning, the crackling skin was soft and not crisp. The best part of the entire meal was the Cole slaw with apple sitting under the pork. Finally the patron peppers, again cooked sometime in advance. Sad as these only take minutes to prepare. They were pretty limp and lifeless. Every dish was hot from the microwave. I gave the manager some feedback and he removed the service charge and removed the chicken wings from our bill. Seriously re-think spending money here. It is poor quality. I've also seen the reviews on Trip Advisor and fully expect Mark Mantzel to dispute my knowledge of good food. He seems to argue with diners poor reviews. Bottom line, if I can cook this better why am I out eating at this restaurant 30th March update- I posted this review on Trip Advisor and as expected the owner angrily replied. It astounds me how restaurant owners spend more time disputing a bad review rather than improving the food quality. Bottom line, I've dined in over 50 countries on six continents so I have a reasonable amount of experience on food quality. Mark Mantzel should focus on the product he's delivering rather than attack a valid review.

Amazing tapas, lovely atmosphere, and definitely treat yourself to a sherry! The sherry was delicious and went perfectly with the tapas. The standout dish for me was the pork belly! The gambas (prawns) were delicious though quite expensive for how many you get. The basque sausages were very tasty but it felt like a lot to have between two people as they’re quite salty. A great tapas restaurant with some fantastic dishes (probably the best that I have had outside of Spain) The only problem is of course that in the UK a single dish of tapas can be expensive price wise making a meal with several small plates expensive nevertheless a great meal and evening.

I don’t like restaurants where you can’t book. I also don’t like restaurants where you can’t get a booking. If I had to choose, I’d go with the former—provided there’s a nice bar where you can wait, a team who haven’t forgotten about you, and no passive-aggressive clipboard wielder telling you they “might be able to squeeze you in at 9:45 if you don’t mind perching on a barstool next to the toilets.” Pintxo in Bath doesn’t take bookings. On a Saturday night, they don’t need to. The place is full, the place is buzzing, and the staff, while busy, are in that glorious zone of controlled chaos where they actually seem to enjoy their jobs. We’re told it’ll be a short wait, and I believe them. The room is packed with people having a good time, the waiters squeeze past with plates of croquetas and Rioja, and everyone looks like they belong. And when we sit down, it all just works. The service is friendly, the food arrives quickly, and it’s… nice. Not the best tapas I’ve ever had, but then this isn’t Barcelona, and I’m not an insufferable purist. This is Bath, the sherry is flowing, and the whole place is doing exactly what a tapas bar should—making you feel like part of something. All restaurants should be like this on a Saturday night.

Wow, this place was disappointing. I can't speak for the entirety of the menu as we only ordered a handful of dishes but based on what we had, I'm glad we didn't splash out more. This place feels like it should be great, cosy intimate settings, bustly interior and a queue out of the door. It's sadly more style than substance though - most dishes lack spark and are inoffensive but unmemorable and at these prices that shouldn't be the case. Pick of the lot were the sausages which were generous in portion size and spicef pleasantly. £11 for 6 smallish prawns was the low point of the meal. The garlic butter sauce was great though but then, it's garlic butter sauce - it always is. Much better value for money elsewhere

Good food but some things could have been better. The gambas was excellent, Pork shoulder was great, as was the chorizo croquettes. Patatas braves was big, but the tortilla was a bit bland and disappointing. A little too reliant on the same tomato sauce for too many dishes. And there is a ‘voluntary’ 12.5% tip automatically added, which is a bit much. No real opportunity to remove it.

It was our first visit, and we were not disappointed. We chose a large selection of small plates and devoured the lot. My favourite was the pork belly, so tender and juicy that it just fell apart, combined with stick molasses that complimented it perfectly. I had a glass of their rose sangria, which was delicious and sweet, and I could easily have enjoyed more. No reservations were taken for small groups, as they say on their website, just turn up. The staff were knowledgeable, really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxing with music from the 70s being played, which we enjoyed and related to. Especially the pork belly having both the fatty part and tender part, the sweet sour pickled apple slaw is definitely a genius complement 🥰 I also like the asparagus having its skin removed, which is really special! And the blue cheese sauce. However, it feels a bit too salty for me having the sauce with the jamon. This tapas bar left much to be desired. The portions were ridiculously small for the steep prices, with the octopus and roast potatoes dish being particularly disappointing—tiny, bland, and lacking in flavour that you would expect from the Iberian cuisine. At £14.50, it's nowhere near good value. The wine servings were also meager, and the venue was so crammed with tables that moving around was a struggle. I won’t be returning.

Pintxo is located a stone’s throw from the more touristy offerings of Bath’s old town, but offers a considerably more laidback vibe from the usual. Delicious small plates come thick and fast - lots of tapas favourites (like patatas bravas), both hot and cold. The spider crab croquettes were a highlight, full of unctuous seafood loveliness. A glass of sherry is also a must. Well worth seeking out.

I was recommended Pintxo by locals and after checking the reviews was disappointed by the food there. By no means the best tapas in bath and judging just by the food, was overrated and pricey. The ingredients were of good quality but the preparation of the food was not very well executed. Patatas bravas although covered in sauce looked sad and fried aubergine absorbed all the oil without being crispy. The crab croquetas didn’t really have much crab in or much taste. The pork belly was not my taste (I love pork belly but this was just fatty with no crisp and nothing to it apart from fat). The service is great and the garden amazing but I wouldn’t go back for the food.

Overall, we had a great dining experience with excellent foods.

Fantastic atmospheric Greek bistro right in the historic city centre, serving a great selection of delicious authentic dishes, from hot and cold meze (small plates) to larger main dishes, to meat or veggie set menus for 2 to share. The staff are lovely and I’ve always had great meals there. Vegetarians, vegans, kids all well catered for. Highly recommend.

I had the most amazing birthday lunch here! The food, wine, and cocktails were all delicious. The restaurant had such a cosy and friendly atmosphere and it felt like we’d found a hidden gem. The garlic and chilli prawns are a must! The best part was the service - we were made to feel so welcome and everyone there was so genuine and kind. It’ll definitely be a regular spot for all of us, so thank you for such a wonderful meal!

Gracias kyle y libby
