Howl Brewery in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Made a special journey to this brewery, in January after checking their webdite , which said they were popen , only to find it closed . Why is the website not updated.

Yeah I think there are alot of "mate-reviews" on here. The opening was a disaster, the beer wasn't good and pizza wasnt even offered. Then we thought to give them another chance...just to stand infront of closed doors. They have just changed their opening times 2 weeks ago and should have been opened for 16.00...absolutely nobody was even at the place at that time. I think the organisation in this place is a mess and therefore I wouldn't really trust their beer brewing skills either.

Pizza’s and beer are great, however the food service was a little slow, don’t mind if it’s going to be slow but would’ve been nice to know. The ‘sides’ portion size was also quite small for the price but would still definitely recommend, and will return when in the area!

Love this place, really relaxed atmosphere selling lovely pizzas and some great beers on tap. Look out for the dank Frank takeover nights too 👌

Highlight of our holiday. Excellent choice of beer, a great little spot. Food can take a little while if busy, but means more time to sample the beers. Went back 3 times for more exceptional pizza. Ignore the 1 star review, let him stick to Dr. Oetker. Cheers!

Truly the best pizza I've ever had. Whoever came up with the menu needs more than a pat on the back, cooked perfectly. , and the Beer is a fantastic selection. We were on holiday for 4 days and we came here 3 of them! I honestly cannot give them higher praise, what they have going here is golden. It really cannot be passed on. Staff are all a delight too.

Warning the worst pizza around! We came here as we live just down the road and it was my wife’s birthday. Staff are good and cider too but that’s where it ends. The wait for food is over an hour because they have one small pizza oven, that’s fine happy to wait. Our first round of pizzas were raw and soggy drenched in fat. The replacements the same. The excuse is these are Italian style pizzas!! I’m sorry I’ve cooked and had great pizza in Italy, I think Italian pizza chefs would be ashamed. The oven plate not hot enough so great top finish hardly cooked bottoms. Served in pizza boxes, the cardboard waste is immense and feels cheap to dine with. It cost £90 for 5 pizzas and one round of drinks, so not cheap. The guy refunded £50 which is fair, but a birthday meal ruined. The problem is young kids out of their depth, with only one oven to cook for many people. Your order sits in boxes steaming. A restaurant set up up on the cheap will never deliver a consistent product. Which is a great shame, I love street food/ shabby style. But the bathrooms are in a dirty state, mess everywhere and a poor food product. You have to look at locals to support over the winter……with this evidence it won’t be hear next summer. That’s the real shame!

Food sooooo slow - not busy. No apology, no awareness it was over an hour and ten minutes to receiving the other. Food tasty but needs some management.

Welcoming ordered take away on the phone in the afternoon and collected early evincing friendly staff had a great beer waiting. I was visiting family in Carlyon Bay my sister lives near in Tywardreath and recommended them. Just quality proper sour dough pizzas light fresh and good quality ingredients such a pleasure to have good quality take away good . Will be coming back to visit bank holiday weekend will come again.

Fabulous, no frills, rustic establishment. Welcoming staff. Dogs are allowed. Relaxed evening, with absolutely fantastic pizzas. Highly recommended. 😊

Had a 2 pizzas and sides from here....terrible food. Burnt crusts...under cooked base...sides were a total ripoff that cost over £60...be better off getting pizza from domino's better and cheaper. Only thing that was any good was the fries.

Amazing pizza and calzones, staff are very friendly and fun. The building itself has an industrial aesthetic, but maintenance seems poor in places, which you could argue is thematic.. Sides are exceedingly small for the price - the below sides were an insulting £5 each (no food was removed before taking the pictures!). Nevertheless, try the great pizza.

Amazing…..superb base, one of the best. nice IPA , staff happy to offer try samples. Would definitely go back again. It appears a new venue so vibe varied but we loved it. Weds appears to be a Greek night fyi

Really hit and miss. Nice pizza but no better than other local pizza restaurants. Nice beer. Been a few times. Pizza sometimes better than others. Felt rushed a few times with staff wanting to get off. If quiet likely to close despite webpage opening hours.

Live locally, went in for a beer after a walk. Staff super friendly and knowledgeable. Wish you all the success in the future

If you haven't been, then you need to go there. Amazing pizza, great choice of drinks, lovely staff, relaxed atmosphere . What more can I say, can't wait to visit again.

Been meaning to visit for a good while now. Really glad I took the plunge and did! Great beers, fantastic pizza, really friendly staff and a great vibe about the place. Been back twice over the last 2 weeks and will definitely be back again. See you in August, top job and something different to the usual.

If you're looking for the best pizza in Cornwall, look no further. Truly amazing pizza great choice and a full selection of artisan beers (Inc non alcoholic). Will be back for sure.

So didn’t expect to find this place on a walkabout! A local brewery that also sells great pizza and garlic bread on the side 😀 New business, lovely people and the beer is also awesome! Well worth trying 👍

Just so good. After a day at Polkerris beach, it’s a lovely bay but FAR too busy, we dropped into Howl Brewery for tea. Friendly, helpful staff and a laid back, peaceful atmosphere. Couldn’t of asked for more after being surrounded by people at Polkerris. Had 3 halves of beer so we could sample what the brewery had on offer. All really good, I loved the stout the most. Ordered two pizzas and two sides of fries. Absolutely delicious. Freshly made to perfection. Kids had a Margherita and the husband and I shared a Pizza Limone. Spot on food and drink in the Cornish sunshine. 👌🏻

Really nice Pizza, friendly staff and nice atmosphere overall. With the right marketing (its a bit out of the way) this will be a huge success.

Cannot wait for the excellent Drum & Bass event. Love the Howl brewery ale and the Pizzas made by Monkey(?) Are fantastic. He showed us how they were made. Defo going to get Pizzas from here. With the right people this place can be stunning, with a crowd and music - sky's the limit! Recommended A++

Can't fault this place. Had a really good evening here recently. All four of us felt the same. Pizzas were home made as was the beer. We were treated as friends not customers and made very welcome. We will be back.

Really like this place and it's great there is this choice here when we visit Par on hoilday. Good beer's and the Pizza was fabulous. Dog friendly also which is a plus for me. Love to see a small business thrive and I'm sure these guys will as they are very welcoming. Definitely will be our go to place when we come back which we do every few months.

I’ve been with friends on numerous occasions. The staff are very friendly and always happy to talk. The pizzas are good, and the beer is always decent - I just wish the beer didn’t seem to disappear so fast; each time we’ve been, multiple draught lines have been emptied. That’s the only reason it’s a 4/5, and I feel bad for not giving it a 5/5, because it deserves it… it’s just annoying when the beer has all gone.

Great beer, service and food. Highly recommend. Dog friendly, indoor and outdoor seating available. Close to the beach and they do Paddleboard hire.

I almost don't want to leave this review because right now Howl is one of Cornwalls hidden treasures, but they really deserve it, so here we go... Best calzone I had ever had (sorry Italy!). Just delicious, freshly made food, great beer brewed on site...

Nice good food and honest staff had a lovely evening with friends here for a birthday food was abit slow but there was a lot of us and only 2 ovens 😂😂 soft drinks could do with a cheaper alternative for us drivers mind but again it didn’t ruin my night!

We have many pizza places where we live in London, but Howl definitely tops all of them for taste and depth of flavour. What a magnificent garlic, parsley, rosemary olive oil. Amazing!

Brilliant place, awesome hand made pizzas, especially fabulous gluten free pizza. No pre made bases here! Beers are always top notch, good can fridge and several craft including home brewed

visited Howl in summer 2022 and what a place! Great location with a short walk to the beach. We were shown the brewery and told about the process, which was so very interesting. We may have had a sample or two…… or three!! Great place...

We’ve been curious about this place for a while and stopped by today, on a whim, to try a take away pizza. Whilst waiting we tried their draft beers. My hubby really enjoyed the cloudy IPA and my raspberry Weiss beer was tart and delicious. The pizzas more than met expectations, authentic bases and well balanced toppings. Yummy We will definately be returning.

We had the pleasure of spending half a day with the guys from Howls Brewery and Blue Dot Adventure during the week. First of all we spent 2 hours coasteering with Paul and Ru. We went as two families with children varying in age from 12-16. I genuinely could not recommend this day highly enough. Paul and Ru were expert guides that instilled confidence but what was infectious was their absolute passion for their work and the joy they got from our enjoyment. These guys have many strings to their bows and when we returned to the cafe Ru was equally as passionate about the beer brewing side of the company. As part of the package we had a pizza and drink with the coasteering. I can safely say this was the best Pizza I have ever had! ‘Monkey’ the chef again oozed genuine passion for creating the best Pizza possible from the dough used to the way it needs to be hand stretched to how hot the oven needs to be for optimal results.. again it was a pleasure to see someone take such pride and pleasure from what he was creating and sharing that knowledge. A hand crafted beer and a homemade pizza after coasteering in the most picturesque part of Cornwall was a perfect holiday treat. Hugely recommended.

Hi, today I ordered a pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I have eaten. Good price and very friendly service, highly recommended.

Walked 2miles to go for pizza and beers to find it closed (Wesnesday evening) even though website days open everyday until 11pm. Ship Inn nextdoor at least and very accomodating, but said they have only seen the brewery open a few times over months. UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE HOWL BREWERY, its misleading.

Drove here specifically only to find it closed. It’s not hard to update your hours on Google or your own social media.

A real hidden gem, the Patchwork Rocket hit the mark - look forward to the grand opening in due course
