Had an absolutely amazing meal at Little Italy last night. Authentic home made Italian Food that is absolutely delicious. We were made very welcome, had a great evening and will return very soon. Highly recommended!

The cuisine was outstanding! Sunny, our waiter, was friendly and helpful. Undoubtedly, we will come back.

We booked our table here in advance of arriving in Newquay and had not realised there was a "Happy Hour" - we missed it. We did have the restaurant to ourselves however which wasn't ideal but we were made to feel extremely welcome and greeted personally by the chef. Offered some gorgeous focaccia bread to try as an appetiser. Then we both went for pizzas - goats cheese and pepperoni. Then the most amazing cheesecakes to follow - we ended up taking half back to the hotel in a box.

A first time visit for our daughter’s birthday treat and we were really impressed. Delicious and plentiful food with fantastic service and a personal touch. We’ll definitely be back!

The food was excellent quality ,well cooked and tasty. I thought the pizza was from Naples (it was that good). Book in advance to avoid disappointment.

ALLEZ MANGER AUTRE PART; On a commandé deux parts de pates avec des "King Prawns", On a attendu plus de 45 mn Quand nos assiettes son enfin arrivées, à peine chaude, il y avait une toute petite portion de pâtes avec des crevettes qui n'était surement pas des "King Prawns" Ayant encore faim, on re-demande la carte pour commander autre chose la réponse est : la cuisine est fermée !!!!! (il est 21h15) C'est la 1ere fois que j'ai faim en ayant fini mon plat de pâtes, en général dans les centaines de restaurants Italiens que j'ai fréquenté on a plutôt du mal à trouver une petite place pour le dessert. Ayant payé, le patron c'est mis la porte et la tenue ouverte, nous invitant à sortir Le restaurant porte bien son nom, petite Italie, petite portion, petites crevettes, petite éducation du patron mais pas une petite addition Après çà les restaurateurs pleurent en disant qu'il n'ont pas assez de bénéfice. 😭

With Italian roots always hard to find a decent Italian but this little gem of a place in Newquay is a wonderful substitute to being in Italy! We’ve been to this place about 10 years ago… and recall it being good but most recent management changes have brought with it something very special. Crab Starters Burrata / Tomatoe Salad Focaccia breads Arrancini balls Pizzas are beautiful Crab & lobster Ravioli Pasta And beautiful puddings. Top staff - family run, so friendly. Lots of thought and love goes into the food just a it should. Will definitely go back next time! Thourougly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lucky to get a table as a walk in, as seemed very popular. What can I say, great wine, great food, great service. Yum! Definitely recommend.

Can not fault this little cozy italian resteraunt. Every course was delicious and plenty of time to relax and enjoy. Nothing was rushed. You must book. Fresh ingredients, lovingly prepared and served in beautiful little restarant. You even get to see the chef cookiing. Top notch

This is a small restaurant/cafe with limited room and only a small number of tables. We found it necessary to book for an evening meal and booking 24 hours in advance worked for us. The first time we ate here, the food was so good we immediately booked for the following day. Food is second to none and staff are very courteous, attentive and friendly. If you like Italian food, you must try Little Italy.

Saw this place being refurbished in April went for an evening meal and was not disappointed. Pizza delicious as Spaghetti Bolognaise. Although small inside every inch of floor space carefully though out. Take away avaliable. Deserts to chose from and a good choice of wines.

A chance find as our intended restaurants were fully booked. A little bit further out than most eateries but worth the walk. A friendly café style approach teases you in and then you are impressed by the food. Not a huge menu, but a decent selection of starters, mains and pizzas together with specials and an all Italian wine list. We were told on arrival that they had just taken some big orders so we ordered a bottle of the Gavi to be getting on with. In fact, the food arrived before we had finished the first glass. M had a spicy pizza which looked good and which she really enjoyed. I ordered the special local lobster and crab tortellini in a three cheese sauce. After the order went in they owner, Jay, came out to speak with us. Apparently the tortellini was a new dish that they had just started serving that day and I was the first person to order it. He was pleased to see that we had followed the recommended wine pairing: they had brought in a local expert to advise on that. I was not disappointed: the pasta was thin and silky; the sauce captured that rare balance between being decidedly cheesy but not overpowering the seafood. It was presented with home made focaccia bread that was tasty and light. The whole dish went really well with the Gavi and was a joy to eat. Such a pity it’s 613 miles from home!

Loved this little restaurant a few years ago on our visit in 2017 and luckily got in without booking when we went out to eat early. Godfather pizza and crab Arancini really good - fresh cooking and great, fast service. It’s only a small place, and worth visiting, so book if you can do to avoid missing out.

So after reading some good reviews on Tripadvisor and seeing the food pics we decided to visit this restauraunt for our evening meal with two teenage children. It was walk in’s only, we arrived to be told we could have a table but could not order food for 30 minutes, so we ordered drinks. A couple walked in and were seated to have there order taken straight away and their starters arrived before we had even ordered our food. We questioned this to be told it’s because there is only two of them, we were totally baffled by this method of madness! Another couple arrived to be seated, drinks served and again their starters arrived. We sat there for over 30 minutes to place an order and it was 50 minutes before our starters arrived! The food menu was very limited on a piece of paper. We arrived at 7.30pm and left at 9.30pm for one round of drinks, a starter each and a main course. No time for desserts - they had none left anyway, all had sold out! Very unorganised, staff had no idea what they were doing and the chef clearly can not cope with even the smallest of restauraunts! The mains we had were nothing special, it was 3 pieces of sliced chargrilled chicken on top of pasta which tasted like the dolmio tomato paste pots! Safe to say we won’t be returning here again. Terrible service and one that ruined our evening on our lovely week in Cornwall!

Booked in for 5 o'clock ordered beer n wine, knew what we wanted calzone n pasta.... and so glad it was beautiful,great staff and chefs keep the brilliant work up only thing I can knock is that every one sang happy birthday for me.... lol

What can I say, forced to wear a mask to enter the building, have to ask to go to the loo, asked to place our food order 3 times in 5 minutes, made our friends wait outside for 10 minutes even though their table was clear and ready. When my husband asked when the food arrived why we needed to wear a mask but the chef didn’t we were told to leave! We were really looking forward to our meal here but have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant ever.

Fantastic food and service! A great atmosphere, the servers were lovely. Being vegan the chef was happy to cater to this. The pizza was really great, nothing to fault. So fortunate to get a table.

Me and my brother came to little italy for our dinner after a day at the beach. The front of house staff we’re lovely and attentive and the service was superb. We both had Doughballs to start which were so so tasty and you could tell the doughballs were freshly made. We both had a pizza for our main which again we’re freshly made and cooked beautifully! Oh and the cheesecake was to die for. Only thing the place lacked was some background music to make the atmosphere better. Would definitely return if we lived in the area!

Visited when on holiday, very glad we booked as it was busy and people were being turned away. Good extensive menu and range of pizza’s. We all ordered pizza and when they arrived all were fine except one which was very burnt. They did replace this on request and although the second one was better it was still overdone in my opinion. Would recommend this Italian.

Me and my family came here for a nice pasta meal which turned out to be delicious!! I had the homemade tomato soup for starters and it was full of flavour and you could tell it was homemade, it was delicious. For mains I had a salmon tagliatelle which was on the Specials menu and that was also so full of flavour and I had plenty of salmon in the dish and the pasta just melted in your mouth, it was perfect. It was the best pasta dish that I have ever had! The staff were excellent, they really made sure that everyone was happy and they were very efficient.

We called in to the pizza shop last night and ordered the special meatball pizza and the spicy Americana, wow just wow, the flavours on both of these pizzas were amazing, fresh base not frozen and the service from the team there was amazing. We will be back for sure!

Having read lots of reviews for Little Italy was expecting something special but was disappointed, we were seated close to the open entrance door which couldn’t be closed on a cool wet drafty evening,, food was OK but burnt on the edge, we’ve had lot better elsewhere

Service is outstanding. Food outstanding. My husband ordered a dish that wasn’t even on the menu and they were happy to do this and he said it was absolutely lovely (chilli, garlic prawns with tagliatelle pasta) would highly recommend and would definitely return. Thanks for a great evening

A small corner restaurant in the heart of Newquay. Not a large restaurant, however the beauty about this place is that they have a simple menu which is unbelievably tasty. They don’t try to be fancy. The dishes available are packed with plenty of aromas and herbs to bring out delicious tastes- just like traditional Italian food.They are always busy, so do not be disappointed if you don’t get a seat. Book in advance.Honestly, this is one of the few Italian restaurants I have been to which will not disappoint. It keeps their dishes nice, simple and authentic. They don’t over-try. Homemade recipes at its finest.

Fabulous thin crust pizza, cooked to order with a very good g/f base option. Service is friendly, helpfull and efficient. Covid arrangements are very well managed with tables and chairs well spaced and cleaned between customers. This is one of our favourite restaurants offering great food and service at very reasonable prices.

Little Italy.... Little Gem!We had the most delicious meal there last night. The garlic mushroom flatbread starter was quite superb... beautifully cooked flatbread.. nicely crispy at the edges.Main courses we chose a Carbonara with cured ham and mushrooms... without doubt the tastiest Carbonara I have ever had and my wife had the Chicken with pesto pasta.... again totally delicious.House bottle of red was spot on and good value.Chocolate ice cream rounded off the best meal we have had in Cornwall!The staff were very polite, helpful and courteous.Highly recommend!!

Great little pizza restaurant. The pizzas are very good, all freshly made with fresh ingredients. Good variety of pizzas to choose from. I would highly recommend the dough balls for a starter and the homemade tiramisu for dessert. Staff are very friendly and service is good. Please make sure you book a table beforehand as it's only a very small restaurant to avoid disappointment.

Just back from a week in Newquay and we are at various places every evening. Little Italy was by far the best. The restaurant is only small but don’t be put off by that, you’re in for a treat. The food was freshly prepared and full of flavour. The waitresses were excellent. Would definitely recommend. If you go to Newquay and you’re looking for somewhere to eat, Little Italy is a little gem.

We had booked a table elsewhere for pizza but cancelled that and booked little Italy after walking past a few times! I would advise booking as it's only small and very popular. Service was great and food delicious. We had the dough balls and tomato bruschetta to start and both delicious. For mains Americana pizza and meat one and both really yummy. The ladies serving us were both really friendly despite them being so busy with takeaways too. Would definitely return!

After searching around for available places to eat, we stumbled upon Little Italy. We were welcomed by their team at the door and opted to sit outside the restaurant.The team were under-staffed but what they lacked in people they made up in their service and food. Although I didn’t get the name of the waiter, he was truly fantastic and made us feel at home and catered for our every need.The pizza and drinks were worth wait.Highly recommend this place and will be back on our next visit.

The service was excellent, I have been in Newquay for 4 days and this is the first place I have had the type of service I expect, they were turning people away as they only had one chef in the kitchen, other places could do with taking note of this , instead of cramming their places full of customers then sending out terrible food to people after a long wait, Our food was delicious, two different pasta dishes , a pizza and desserts, it was nice and hot too .the two girls waiting on were very efficient, attentive but not overbearing, all in all the whole experience was very pleasant, I will definitely be returning

Best meal of our holiday. It doesn’t look much from the outside but it’s well worth a visit. The waiter was so welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing and such good value. It’s located off the main strip but defiantly search this one out.

Me and my husband visited may 2021. Great service. No complaints about the food. They accommodated the changes we required to our food. We had garlic bread starter, margarita pizza with added cajun chicken and carbonara..

Firstly, the place is not cosy as previously reviewed. The menu is not even written in Italian (lots of mistakes) and they have a pineapple pizza! Yuk! The cheese antipasto had a low quality bread and oil/vinegar… the pizza (I took Parma) had a untasty base and Parma ham was put on the pizza whilst in the oven (which is btw electric one) and became a cooked ham The pizza edible and the staff is friendly. The only authentic thing was Birra Moretti. People in the kitchen do not wear neither hat nor a mask (covid time!).Sorry but you can call this Authentic Italian Pizza.This review is written by an Italian.

As well as friendly staff, the pizza is divine! Crisp base, generous toppings and so delicious. We always visit numerous times when staying in Newquay.

Lovely pizza and pasta which we had for take out. Good for veggies. Pizza sauce doesn’t contain onion/garlic which was great for us due to intolerances.

3 Pizzas delivered swiftly and efficiently. Well these were delicious...it’s a long time since I’ve had a pizza as good as these. Whole family loved them..it’s added to our list of favourites.

Christmas came early this year - at least for the staff.We really like this restaurant. We have an apartment about 50 meters away and its not just convenient - the food is really really good. And normally the service is pretty friendly.We booked a table for yesterday ( Wednesday Dec 23rd ) at 8.30. For 4 people. I admit we arrived 8 minutes late but well within the usual 15 minutes leeway. As we arrived outside the lights were turned off and the staff came out and locked the door as they left, in a hurryWe stopped them fleeing and pointed out we had a reservation at 8.30. They showed zero interest. “ sorry we are closed. You weren't here at 8.30. “. Obviously i pointed out “ we are here now”. But the response a chilly “ nothing i can do about it , we are closed” In my limited experience it takes quite a long time to clean and close a restaurant. You dont just turn out the lights. So i think they decided to close well before our bookingIts pretty hard to find a table for 4 at peak dining time , but after trying a couple of our usual haunts we managed to get dinner elsewhere. My thanks to the staff at Headland who were so understandingIts really sad because i really like the pizza and doughballs at Little Italy but i NOW I dont feel like giving them my business. And even sadder is that probably the owner was not aware that his staff were turning away customers in such tough trading times, so they could go home early. I hope he reads Trip Advisor. Otherwise if his staff continues this way he will go bust and i wont be able to go there anymore

We’ve been visiting Little Italy since they opened in 2009 and have always found the food to be brilliant. On our visit this evening, this was the case. We were greeted at the door (by a server wearing a mask) and were invited to check in using the COVID app and use the hand sanitation provided - all of which we were pleased to see. The specials board reflected the season with festive pizzas and desserts. All of the food we had was delicious - especially the festive fig and prosciutto pizzas - and the service both friendly and safe and not at all over bearing. A little bit of background music wouldn’t have gone amiss but, as always, we were impressed with Little Italy and will be returning in the near future.

Had a absolutely fabulous meal yesterday. Last here 7 years ago and just as good as I remember. Possibly the best dough balls I have ever tasted. Very friendly and helpful waitress too. We will be back (hopefully before 7 years!)!

Little Italy is a really nice small restaurant, it was just down the hill from our hotel so easy to get to. We booked ahead and glad we did as they were fully booked and offering takeaway only for anyone else.Food is really really good, service was brilliant. We have been walking past this place for years and having looked at the menu it offered more choice than some of the larger Italian establishments in the area. The food and service was very good and I actually struggled to finish my large pizza. The others in our party had pasta and also said how good that was. We normally like to mix things up but we liked Little Italy that much we booked again for our last night meal

Having had some varying success with restaurants in Newquay we decided to try Little Italy.It is a somewhat understated restaurant. Very simple, no frills, but excellent food. I phoned on the off chance to book and left an answerphone message with our booking requirements. I got a phone all back offering an alternative time, which was fine. I even got a further call in the evening saying our table had cleared early, so come as soon as we wanted.This is not a designer or luxurious looking restaurant, but don’t be put off. We had dough balls to die for and the most wonderful bruschetta to start with, followed by probably the best Pizzas we have ever had. Friendly service, fantastic food, clean and simple. I really hope they can survive this second lockdown.Thoroughly recommend this place for Pizza. Next time will try their pasta

Called up over a week before our visit to book a table as we know how busy Little Italy gets and even more so in these current times. Staff called back 8 days before our visit to confirm our booking.Yesterday afternoon got my husband to call in to double check time of booking and was told we had no booking and they couldn’t accommodate us but could do takeaway. Called to order takeaway at 5:30 and told earliest takeaway was 8:15pm for 4 pizzas (that demonstrates how busy they get) so opted for this. Collected pizzas on time and true to form they were as delicious as they usually are (Little Italy you redeemed yourself), very generous with toppings, not too thick and not too thin.Just a shame we couldn’t eat in and had to eat in our holiday apartment as we’d have had starters, drinks and probably dessert too.Will definitely eat here again but will triple check booking in advance.

We booked to eat on Wednesday evening, and enjoyed an excellent pizza & salad.We chose a bottle of mid priced red wine which was very drinkable!The pizzas are generously topped on a handmade thin base.If you choose a side salad they are packed with olives, tomatoes etc - again great value.Highly recommend a visit!

We came here for my Birthday. The waiter was lovely, but a bit ditzy and seemed to miss something off of everyone's orders at the rest of the tables. We had garlic bread and pizza, which were both amazing as we could see them being made. We didn't realise that the 'make your own pizzas' were going to be so expensive though! It doesn't list on the menu what the price is before the extra toppings. We enjoyed ourselves, but think that music would've made it feel a little more authentic.

This is how it should be done. Excellent simple food paired with friendly front of house service. All six of our party could not fault any of the food from starters to the pizza, pasta and puds... I run a brownie business and the one served here was spot on. The guy serving us was spot on etentive, dummy and friendly but not over the top. This is how a resturant should be run and I've been in the catering industry for 25 years. It's so good when somewhere gets it right.

We went here for dinner for my birthday and all the food was delicious, particularly the pizza! The staff were friendly and the food was prompt but we did not feel rushed ☺️ And when we came to pay the bill we were surprised at how reasonably priced it was! Next time we are back in Newquay we will definitely be back!

What can I say that hasn't already been said...Absolutely one of the best pizzas I've had,nice thin and crispy crust as they should be.The service was friendly without being pushy.The Tiramisu was to die for...So good.Thank you I will definitely return when next in Newquay.

We booked ahead as a group of five lads, immediately welcomed by a staff member who actually seemed like he wanted to be there and wanted us to be there. Restaurant is small but the front of house gent didn't stop working. We ordered a variety of starters which were excellent and came quickly. I had red pepper soup which I would recommend if it is a special.Mains came quickly and the pizzas were brilliant with lots of topping. People were constantly coming to the door to order takeaway which was a good sign. I don't have a bad word to say about this restaurant and will definitely come back whenever I am in cornwall

Incredible experience all round, Rhys (the waiter) is warm, welcoming and hilarious. The food is authentic and genuinely delicious. Couldn’t recommend more!

Friendly staff and unbelievable food (pesto pasta and one of the special pizzas especially). Reasonably priced too. What a great little find. Would recommend.

We had a great night in this small restaurant recently. The food, particularly the Pizza, was superb. The service was friendly and efficient.

You have to go here if no where else for the most amazing Italian food. Book, beg, borrow or steal a table, order take away if not. Unpretentious, service with a genuine smile and humour. We shared the dough balls others have mentioned - you have to eat these bad boys as they are so light and delicious. Any pizza can be a Calzone which is what we did - one from the specials board and a Four Seasons - except for a place called Bacchios in Leeds (no longer there) back in the late 80’s I have not eaten a better one than here at Little Italy - pizza dough so light it’s not filling, fresh ingredients all washed down with a great bottle of Montepulciano - great going boys and girls keep it up for the next visit!
