You can't beat wetherspoons for service and prices, the food was excellent as usual

we always try to find a Wetherspoons while on holiday because we know we can get good food and drink at a reasonable price as always the staff we friendly and helpful

Great traditional style pub serving good range of food and drinks. Nice lively atmosphere Cheerful and hard working staff Dogs allowed .

Best gammon that me and the missus has ever had. Nice buttery roasties and plenty of vegetable options. Plenty of seating and car parking spaces. Nice large outside area for summer time food and drink. Staff were friendly and reasonably priced food. Downside was that the carpets needed a really good clean, but I'm sure that this will be seen too in the not too distant future.

We are regular visitors to Padstow and always drop in to the Old ship for drinks and food as part of our stay. Home made pub curry goes down a trick and the portion sizes are always second to none. Always a friendly staff especially Ben and Paul who always on hand to help accommodate customers.

Stayed for a couple of nights and ate in both evenings plus breakfast. First to say, the staff were simply brilliant. Harrison - H, Carol and the others looked after us well. We had a great stay and the welcome, comfort of the room and food were all excellent. The only possible issue - and some won't have a problem with this - is the building is very old so the heating tended to be on - alot. It was not an issue to be fair vent though it was -7 on both nights we stayed!

Just stopped in for a coffee. The pub was quiet and clean. The lady who served us was friendly, and did warn that the coffee was "just from a machine" However, it was the worst coffee that I have ever paid for!

Total rubbish, small portions unpleasant staff, don't bother.

The Goat & Tricycle is a cozy pub but drinking after 10pm doesn’t provide an ‘inviting atmosphere’ as bar staff clear in bar drip mats creating an unwelcoming place for drinkers after 10.

We went for Sunday lunch, the food was amazing, really good, home made Yorkshire puddings and lovely lamb. my mum struggled to get up the steps, but staff were very helpful and helped me get her back down steps to the ramp. Maybe not the best place to take someone unsteady on feet, due to difficult access, but the food and service very good. Would definitely go again, without my mum.

We only ate and drank here (slept at grandma's) nice service and great pub atmosphere...we always enjoy coming here!!

Good large comfortable room Continental Breakfast

Spur of the moment meal. New seasonal menu- good value and good food. Bread and butter pudding was yummy. Previously had pistachio soufflé which is fab. Currently includes a free gin n tonic, bonus !
