The best restaurants serving British food in South West

Probably the last pub in history to not have set marked vegan options, they did change an option for me but it wasn’t up to much , wouldn’t go again

Right by the harbour, lovely bar staff. Definitely will visit again.

We had a lunch of various tapas today and it was very good ,we have had several evening meals and they have all been lovely

The Ale house is a great pub with good vibes and a welcoming staff. It is a perfect place to chill and hang out with people after a long day walking arround every corner of this beautiful city.

Brilliant pub with great staff! Had a great stay here – the atmosphere was really welcoming and relaxed. The staff were fantastic, especially the bar staff who were friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice spot to unwind. Will be back!

Stopped in for lunch and we had the dog with us . Lovely friendly staff and the food was wonderful . Was a nice day so we sat in the garden which is surprisingly large for a small pub . We enjoyed our afternoon so much we called in again for a drink in the garden a few days later , will definitely be back again.

Shame they are always running out , of something or other , nice seating area outside

Called in a a solo traveller with a dog, hasn't booked a table but they accommodated me. Most amazing roast dinner I've ever had, gammon, yorkshire, Roasts then a side bowl of broccoli, peas, carrots, cabbage, tasty mash and beautiful cauliflower cheese. Offered to pack me a doggy bag with my pudding in as I wasn't expecting the roast to be so huge and beautiful. 2 courses less than £20 on mothers day too. Well definitely be back.

Staff members are so rude today! We were in yesterday evening and staff were fabulous, very friendly and accommodating. Today a totally different kettle of fish. Disgusting at how two of the bar staff spoke to my partner, not just one of them. The young gentleman with the flat cap, GREAT bless him. Steer clear on a Sunday if the staff are regular!! Edit: However Amber who works behind the bar is absolutely fabulous! Credit to the place.

Handy pub on the main street in Newton Abbot. The Wifi was not working when I was there.

How refreshing to meet good friends in this tradional pub The Lounge, Stoke, with great characters on both sides of the bar. Delicious pub food. Like rare gems, they are hidden, but a total revelation when found. Simon, Wellington, Somerset

This is a great meeting place with a hiden garden out the back , a real locals pub Brian and shirley always make you welcome and have a great sense of humour. Theirs always a story or tale , they only take money not cards , but the ATM machine is very local. a good mix of ales, beers and spirits.

Lovely bar and pub area. Very good range selection of beers and ales. Kind staff and a lovely place to stop for a beer or some food on a sunny day.
