The staff are exceptional in their efforts to make your stay go well. And I want to note the help… more than help… provided by Steve in changing my friend’s flat bicycle tire. She was having some issues getting it done and he fixed it in minutes. Reception, housekeeping, and waitstaff. Excellent. But especial thanks to Steve.

Popped in for a drink on our first night for a drink and it became the go to for the rest of the trip take out coffees in the morning and drinks at night

Arrived without a booking but we were promptly found a table. The four of us enjoyed our food, and the restaurant was excellent in allowing me to have a smaller main meal portion, and billed me accordingly. Service was good and food excellent quality. Would visit again.

We stayed here for 2 nights in July 2024 The staff were friendly especially the bar staff Although the room was comfortable, for the price we paid it definitely requires a refurbishment The restaurant where we had our breakfast is in need of a serious deep clean. We had to ask for the windowsill near our table to be cleaned of dead flys and cobwebs

Centred in the High Street of Chipping Campden. Everything so wonderfully around the area is within walking distance . Our stay in the Noel Arms Hotel was a very nice experience. The staff were great The food served at the restaurant was very good and good value for money. I would definitely go again.

We stayed at this hotel for one night as attended a wedding in the area. The room we booked was a classic room. This was very small and tatty. I understand the upgraded rooms were better. The staff were very friendly except the waitress at breakfast who was abrupt and unhelpful. I think the reason for her manor was not totally her fault. It was obvious she was under pressure as the restaurant was busy and there was very little help. The breakfast was of a low standard in quality & quantity. Was all a shame as the area is perfect.

Unfortunately the Noel Arms have associated themselves with virgin experiences and Bespoke Hotels. Meaning that I’ve paid for a night away that turns out to have SO many restrictions it renders its self unusable 77% of this year. Not at all happy.

Fabulous pub, food exceptional, service excellent. “Light bites” very substantial. Highly recommend a visit.

Great food couldn’t fault it, curry was amazing as was the chocolate fondant, well worth a go. Service was good and nice friendly locals

Surprisingly good! The twice baked cheese soufflé was light as a cloud, delicious. Both mains were excellent, as was the superb chocolate and rum fondant. A very nice surprise, we were delighted!

Beautiful cooking. My sea bass had the perfect crisp skin to set off the soft texture of the flesh, supported by expertly chosen accompaniments. Service attentive by a well informed waitress.

We had a superb evening meal at The Noel Arms. I had a prawn, saffron and chorizo risotto which was the best I have ever eaten. My husband had a melting smoked beef brisket. The portions were very generous and very good value. I wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Popped in for a drink prior to a dinner reservation elsewhere, greeted by possibly the grumpiest barman I’ve ever come across. Unfriendly, rude even and very very slow. Others in the bar commented the same. He created a sombre atmosphere in the bar throughout. We had to exchange a drink, no apology, just negativity. As an often visitor to the area, this was my first time visiting this bar and it will definitely be my last. What a shame.

Enjoyed an evening meal in The Dovers Bar with a couple of pints (hand pulled Hook Norton v good) and the food was spot on. Whitebait starter followed by chicken pie. My wife had a super Caesar salad. Staff were great and I would recommend eating and drinking here!! Barman was friendly and professional.

I’ve waited a while to post this review as the experience was so absolutely terrible that I wanted to be sure my view didn’t mellow with time. From start to finish this was by far the worst dining experience I’ve had anywhere in the world for many decades, I really had thought that this kind of food and service was gone forever. We booked the day before by email as no one answered the phone despite our calling several times. I received a pleasant email agreeing our lunch booking for three people. On arrival no one had any record of our booking but said it wouldn’t be a problem as no one had booked, not a great start. We all ordered different dishes, they were all quite the worst food we’ve eaten in years! A salad was like something from the 60’s, bland iceberg and not much else, a lamb curry was worse that a Vesta microwave one and the vegetarian dish was probably best completely forgotten. Drinks ordered before the meal was ordered arrived after the food, despite there only being about four other people there, what a disastrous place. We did eat some of the food as we were cold and hungry but, boy oh boy, it was terrible. The best that can be said was that none of us got sick!

Stayed in the hotel and had a package which included breakfast and dinner for 2 nights. Always a bit of a risk as you are tied to eating at the hotel but was worth it, The lamb curry is outstanding as was the lamb roll starters and the pakora starter. The beef brisket was melt in the mouth and my husband loved the prawn risotto. Breakfast was also included and the full English was just enough and I am very fussy about the sausages and was very happy with the fact they were pork and were free from herbs.

We had ales and grub at the bar which was filled with locals, dogs, and a nice staff. The food although a little non-pub like, was VERY good and reasonably priced. Had the feel of a true old pub and we highly recommend this for those looking for a casual pub experience. And the lively crowd added to a superb experience. Try the spring rolls as they were delish. Will definitely be back.

We both dined on Cotswold Ale battered haddock and triple cooked chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce for £17.50 which was washed down with "Bespoke" chenin blanc wine, product of South Africa at 12.5% volume for £22.

We walked in late Saturday evening hoping we could be seated for a family meal. The lady who welcomed us in was so sweet and really welcoming. The food was spot on, fresh, tasty and hit the spot! The serving and bar staff were extremely pleasant and courteous and nothing was too much to ask for. They made sure we were all serviced well. The hotel and restaurant was well spacious and there was a nice ambience. My husband enjoyed his Guinness. Will definitely recommend!

Called in today for a light lunch ‘ beef sandwich’ the bread was at least 2 days old ‘ sent it back ‘ only for the same to come out again 🙄can’t believe a place like this uses supermarket bread .

Stopped off for a lunch with friends, stood at the bar for a good 5 minutes before anyone came to serve, asked for a table and given menu's It was 30 minutes before anyone came to take our order, 35 minutes later the sandwiches and salads arrived. We thought the salads were good, but the sandwiches, just plain sliced bread with the crust on and a very small side of chips would not have been out of place in a transport cafe, completely lacked imagination. Very slow service and average food

Fabulous Black Lamb Ceylon curry. This Ceylon curry is one of my favourite dishes in the area. Superbly and authentically cooked by the Maestro from Ceylon. Actually this is probably the best curry available in a very wide area indeed. A good pleasant hotel with lovely service in great surroundings - not over the top - just right. I noticed that a few reviews mention the price is a bit high. I would totally disagree as I think that it is actually very reasonable. As in all matters you get what you pay for - if you want some boring badly made food finished in a ping ping machine then go elsewhere! DO give The Noel restaurant a go - you will not be disappointed!

Had a very comfortable stay here. Difficulty with a faulty key which was dealt with by the hotel. Dan was very helpful. Evening meal and breakfast was good with lots of choice and well presented. Staff very helpful and polite. Could do with some freshening up in certain areas but overall very good. Bed was amazing though with nice bedding and fluffy white towels in room. Very comfortable stay. Would stay again.

Pretty surroundings but not much atmosphere, no flowers or candles on the tables and no music playing. Very efficient staff though, almost to the point of wanting to are your order before you’d sat down. Pork chop was very thick and a bit dry served only with potatoes and half a roast onion, no greens or salad. Fish and chips was ok, batter was light, but the tartare sauce was more mayonnaise than anything else, it didn’t have the kick it usually does. Hake goujons starter was nice but crab and prawn toast was lacking. Just under £60 for 2 starters, 2 mains and two drinks. But watch for the 10% tip that will go on your bill if you sign the meal to your room.

We had lunch here several times during one week, all the food was delicious and the service was very friendly and prompt. Will be back.

Just had the most amazing Sunday lunch here, really comfortable seats, friendly customer service and delicious food - even a Happy Birthday treat … You will not be disappointed with a visit here

Great time went in on off chance good choice. staff great very friendly. wife said trudy on coffee shop so helpful and cheerful made her so welcome. Stayed and had food so glad we did.

Popular hotel/Inn in the centre of the town. Has parking which is a great asset. Excellent quality beer, good lunchtime menu. The sandwiches, chips, coleslaw and salad is very good value at approximately£10.

My daughter did not want to hear those 4 words after a 3hr journey from London to Cheltenham to pick me up, and then 1hr drive to Chipping Camden and those words from the manager. Our restaurant booking was for 15.00 and we arrived 15mins...

Stopped for lunch after seeing the outside eating area down the passage from the High Street. Served quickly and enjoyed a big bowl of mussels in an unusual sauce with chorizo, and a well presented dish of sea bass. Inside, the toilets were clean and...

Just called in for coffee and cake ,the coffee was good the cakes were lovely .Staff were friendly but service was a little slow.

Had one evening meal there which was great, and also lunch the following day. Plenty of food for your money and chef listened to dietary requirements. has outside seating, a conservatory and dining room.

It has plenty of seating options and friendly staff. Has range of of pub grub - we were disappointed in the standard of the food. Staff dealt well with the overcooked dish we had to send back.

We stayed close to the Noel Arms and ate there a couple of times. Very good food and atmosphere, the staff was friendly and willing to accommodate us even on a very busy Sunday evening without a reservation. Nice choice!

Being a hotel it has very nice toilets with a full or snake/cake menu. Plenty of spacious tables inside and out. Easy access for wheel chairs and buggy’s . We had a nice fresh cake and coffee with good service. Parking areas free in town...

My wife and I stayed in Chipping Camden for a few days and this place became our "go to". It is all things to all people. Pub bar, outside area, conservatory and dining room. Boozer, restaurant and coffee shop. Pint of Ale, light bite, cake...

Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. The head chef was Indian and it was great to get a chance to try some of his curries. They have a conservatory and outside patio which is lovely to sit with a drink before dinner on a sunny...

We spent a few hours in this pub mainly due to limited choice on a Tuesday in Chipping Camden, the beer and gin was good and the bar was pleasant.Unfortunately, members of staff sat in the corner of the bar after they had finished working didn’t have a good word to say about anyone and anything with regard the business, which was most disconcerting. The service we received from the barmaid was average she seemed to want to dance all her attention on the moaning staff members in the corner of the bar.We stopped to eat as there was no where else open or had a table free in Chipping Camden, the food was awful, the black lamb curry was tasteless and nothing like a curry should be and the fish and chips were greasy and the portion was child sized.

Enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant this week. I enjoyed the Thai curry but would have preferred a popadom with it rather than prawn crackers but that’s probably just my preference. The staff were extremely busy so I didn't bother asking them as I am sure they would have got one for me. Everything else was really good except for the sticky tables. Seems the covid table sanitizers are making the tables sticky. Would recommend the restaurant as they are really trying through these difficult times.

Me alojé en el Noel Arms por dos noches y cenamos en el restaurante ambas noches.No me puedo quejar del servicio y la limpieza, especialmente en tiempos de COVID.El viernes por la noche Camembert al horno, seguido de pescado y patatas fritas, terminado con crumble de manzana y ciruelas pasas, todo excelente.Sábado por la noche satay de pollo y samosas de verduras, luego cordero al curry ennegrecido, arroz pilau y poppadoms. Nuevamente todo excelente.

Habíamos oído cosas buenas sobre el hotel hermano de Cotswold House cuando estuvimos alojados allí. El Noel Arms está justo enfrente, así que di un paseo hasta su bonita terraza para disfrutar de ros y almorzar. Compartimos algunos de los bocadillos de entrada: falafels, una tabla de pan con hummus, salsa de aceitunas y berenjena, y una pequeña ensalada César y, sinceramente, fue simplemente la perfección (también volvimos a cenar la noche siguiente. Su galardonado chef de curry hace un curry de cordero negro medio).Realmente impresionante. Grandes medidas de COVID y personal encantador. ¡Mi única queja es que el pobre personal lucha para que las mesas dejen de estar pegajosas después de desinfectarlas!

Stayed at the Noel Arms. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we ate in the restaurant on 22 September and couldn’t fault food or service. Also had the cream tea, spot on. Go enjoy

Me encuentro con amigos aquí para tomar un café con regularidad, a veces también comemos algo. La señora que parece estar a cargo de la máquina de café es realmente encantadora y el café siempre es bueno, incluso la pequeña galleta de mantequilla que te dan es casera y sabrosa.Lo malo parece ser el menú del desayuno: la tostada de champiñones que tenía estaba tan seca como un hueso, ni una gota de crema ni una mancha de mantequilla a la vista, la tostada debajo estaba fría y dura y seca, así que solo pude ahogarme una pieza hacia abajo. Los huevos royale que comí otra vez fueron buenos, pero por casi 8 libras, ¿esperas ambas mitades del muffin y dos huevos? Cuando dejaron el plato, la reacción inmediata de mis amigos (junto con la mía) fue '¿dónde diablos está el resto? ! '¿El chef divide seriamente un muffin y luego solo sirve la mitad?Ah bueno. Vale la pena tomar el café y hay muchos asientos agradables.

Hemos estado aquí durante años y no hemos tenido un buen servicio o la comida no ha estado a la altura. Hoy disfrutamos bollos recién horneados y té. Los bollos eran frescos y calientes, y se disfrutaron con mermelada y crema, y un verdadero placer. Enhorabuena a todos, muy calientes en las reglas de Covid y realmente disfrutamos nuestro té.

Aceptamos la oferta y nos sentamos, pero nadie vino a tomar un pedido de bebidas y terminamos comiendo en la zona del bar. . . pero solo porque nos instalamos allí después de tomar nuestras bebidas.Cuando finalmente hicimos un pedido de comida, 4 comidas principales: 2 filetes, una hamburguesa y un plato de salmón. . . luego tardó una hora en llegar.En sí mismo, eso está empujando el límite de lo aceptable, pero con 2 niños pequeños que tenían hambre. . . es bastante tiempo. Lo que lo empeora es que no hubo comunicación alguna para disculparse, explicar o mitigar de otra manera. Menú era bueno con algunos especiales añadidos. Todos disfrutamos de nuestra comida, tuve el bistec chuletón cocinado medio según lo solicitado. Mi esposa tenía el pescado y nuestro amigo las salchichas locales. Todos disfrutamos mucho de la velada, incluso con el distanciamiento social. Nuestra camarera fue muy profesional y servicial.

Nice restaurant, staff great. Poor haddock and chips and inferior to any other eaten this year. Chips described as tripple cooked were small in portion size and not at all crispy. Fish average

We had a dinner here. It was very nice, and the service was pretty good and friendly. I can highly recommend the chocolate fondant pudding with ice cream and brandy snap. Delicious 😋

My wife and I went with another couple for a lunchtime afternoon tea. the food and service were both very good and they catered well for me as a vegetarian.

This was a Christmas present from our daughter and we stayed here for 1 night as part of a long weekend. The pub is quite nice, very big with lots of rooms. Our room was a nice size with en-suite with bath. Our room was part of the main pub, we found the floorboards were very creaky, made quite a lot of noise but as it’s an old building it was expected. We were woken up early morning by deliveries and people walking through the car park, someone even road a horse through. But the staff were friendly and the food was lovely. Breakfast was cooked from a menu as well as croissants etc laid out as. The village itself is lovely and the church is beautiful.

My husband and I were staying here so decided to eat here as well. The menu is not big but good choices for us and additional specials. Was pretty busy - so glad we booked. The food coming out all looked beautiful and there was a real buzz amongst the customers. Our food came out and we were both very happy. I had the rib eye steak which was so tender and cooked as I had asked. It was lovely. My husband opted for the burger and it was huge! He also commented on how delicious it was. Staff were great, polite and efficient. Would definitely come back for a meal.

Great spot for lunch after a mooch around the lovely shops in Chipping Campden. I opted for a local beef sandwich with sweet onions served with fries, salad and coleslaw, which was tasty and filling (generous amount of beef and warm perfectly cooked onions). My husband went for the piri piri chicken ciabatta and really enjoyed his too. Food and a couple of drinks for £25 with friendly efficient staff - what’s not to like!

We arrived quite late after a beautiful wedding around 10pm, the receptionist was very lovely and welcomed us with an abundance of happiness, we checked into room 1657 it was a four poster bed dated from that year and Charles I had slept in this room. Obviously not the same mattress lol ... it was a stunning room and very sparkling clean with a separate en suite. Beautifully comfortable and stunning. The oldy worldy feel of the place was so lovely. We had a step to get on the bed which we found highly amusing. We then had snacks in the bar and the staff were wonderful both in the bar and restaurant and the food simply scrumptious. We slept well and then went for breakfast .... this was also stunning food and we had all we needed and wanted. This place is truly beautiful full of well trained staff and we highly recommend the room 1657. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay we will return soon for 2 nights in the same room.

We entered shortly before 9am as breakfast is served from 7.30am.We sat in the conservatory area to the left and orders were taken and arrived fairly quickly.My wife had a sandwich and a cup of tea.I had the full English( which did not fill me!)with a poached egg and a cup of tea which totalled £18.50.The portions are small but I enjoyed what I had.Visited 18th January 2020.

We enjoyed the curry, beef pie and battered fish Ate in the bar one night with lovely log fire as company and in the restaurat the next night Both enjoyable venues. staff friendly and efficient

A cosy and warm little place, best place to visit on a cold winter afternoon for lunch, as we did. The food was excellent and the rustic little inn was well-maintained and clean. The common toilets were spotless and provided high-quality handsoap.

I had a mussels and chorizo starter which was very large and then lamb shank for main course which was delicious but very filing, the haddock and chips was also a huge portion but very tasty. There is also a specials menu which is more fine dining and the restaurant is famed for its curry dishes.

Stopped for a quick bite - (5pm) and sat in the restaraunt area. Had to get our own menus, and go to the bar to place our order (even though the bartender was standing there the entire time folding napkins).

We called in on spec and were given a table by the roaring fire. My disabled husband was given plenty of time to settle and enjoy his excellent pate with a cold beer.

Qué lástima. Una mala noche con problemas de personal cuando visitamos largas esperas para recibir pedidos, entrega incorrecta de alimentos y personal que desapareció en acción. Un saludo a la camarera que se disculpó y mantuvo el rumbo. Buena comida cuando llegó. Los curries son especialmente acertados.

Really good curries on their Thursday monthly curry night. Delicate home cooked flavours. Busy but pleasant good service. Good breakfast pancakes the following day too.

varied menu excellent scramled sgg on toast i had the English breakfast very filling first morning they forgot the toast, but we were quite full anyway, coffee and tea very good

We had an excellent dinner; the salmon on kale was so good ; served with a delicious sauce and young tender kale. The room is very pleasant and cozy.

The food was quite nice but on a Sunday lunchtime the restaurant is very understaffed and the two staff on duty don’t seem to be able to cope. We waited a long time to be served and I had to go and wander around to look for anyone to clear our table and give us a dessert menu. In the end, having had one meal cleared but not the other, and no one anywhere to be seen, I found someone in the coffee bar to pay and we left. I can’t recommend it.

We called in for lunch after spending a pleasant couple of hours walking around Chipping Camden. The pub area at the back and outside eating area provided a comfortable setting. The menu was varied enough for all our tastes. Staff were friendly and efficient.

My husband and I shared the Steak pie w mash as we had eaten a late lunch. I wish we hadn’t shared! This was the first steak pie I ate on our 12 day trip to the Cotswolds and London. I wish I had known it was going to be the best of the trip as I would have tried to eat there a second time. The pie crust was perfect - flaky buttery and not over cooked. The meat in the pie was ample and tender. Much better than the other 4 steak pies I ate during our vacation.

Friendly staff, pleasent setting, dog friendly and found the coffee shop at front of house really convenient for morning coffee and pastry after dog walk

Dinner - service abysmal - food was ok although still believe that fries incorrectly prepped and brought out for starter instead of main were just reheated - which to be fair was better than our rather unfriendly waitress’s suggestion of just leaving them on the table until the mains arrived with a ‘should be ok’! Bread - which was 2 slices of supermarket Hovis - was stale or at least exposed to the elements enough to dry out. They definitely need friendlier staff! Totally underwhelmed and won’t be coming back. That said other staff helpful but overworked.

I booked a table for 6 at the Restaurant at the Noel Arms Hotel for a family homecoming luncheon. We were all so disappointed....but especially me, as I had made the reservation.

Spent 1 night at this lovely hotel . Everything was excellent. Lovely room , very clean . Superb evening meal . Would highly recommend this hotel

Very quick service and amazing beef Sunday dinner! Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

We have just returned from Chipping Campden, a lovely village in the Cotswolds with plenty of eating out choices. We chose the Noel Arms as it had an extensive menu at reasonable prices (nowhere in Chipping Campden is especially cheap!). The restaurant area was nice enough, carpet a bit tatty, but otherwise clean and welcoming. The food was beautiful, the wine was a bit pricey for what it was, but very nice. The service was good, we would definitely recommend this restaurant to any other visitors.

Please be warned about the food in this hotel. We stopped in for a light lunch. Tables and carpet very dirty.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Noel. The staff were most attentive at reception. The ensuite room was really nice.We had dinner one evening at the hotel. & breakfast both days. Staff were most friendly & attentive. If you are visiting the Cotswolds, then the Noel is a winner.

A group of 6 women had a meal here as staying the night. The food was amazing and service was excellent.

We dined here on a couple of occasions whilst in the area. The menu is quite good, with great curry options. There's a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Called in here several times last week as the gins and pravha lager were superb as was the beautiful beer garden. The reason I've not given the pub a 5 star rating 3 because the drinks are very expensive and the fish and chips substandard. However would definitely recommend

Lots of starters and mains to choose from. Fresh takes on local cuisine. Friendly environment and outdoor terrace.

This has to be one of the best meals I have had in the UK. The Black Lamb Curry is beautiful and whilst flagged as being very hot is in fact quite mild by international standards. Still it is very very tasty. There are lots of other great choices and seating both inside and outside. A nice inside bar area. Service very good. A highly recommended place to eat.

In busy Chipping Campden on a rainy May evening, we enjoyed this cozy bar (we opted to not eat in the main restaurant). Good service, nice menu with gluten free options.

We enjoyed everything about our visit to the the Noel Arms Hotel restaurant and bar. We both had curry and I can honestly say it was the nicest pub curry I have ever had. The service was absolutely fantastic and we had a good laugh with the bar staff, I’d give a special mention to the lady behind the bar but we didn’t catch her name, but she was very friendly and when she realised we couldn’t get a taxi to a wedding we were trying to get to, she along with the lady on reception tried their best to get us one. Unfortunately every taxi was booked up so we had a night in the bar playing monopoly and scrabble, very enjoyable. Thanks.

We stopped in for coffee and cookies and sat in the garden area. Lovely atmosphere and great service.

This Christmas present went far beyond expectations. The afternoon tea was fabulous. This old coaching inn is entered under the arch opening onto a well presented bar and large lounge area. Service is slick but no intrusive Booked an overnight stay in consequence.

Our golden wedding was almost ruined, after pre ordering for 12 people. Most of the food came cold and the service was awful. Thank goodness for our wonderful family who made our night. We will never use The Noel Arms again in Chipping Campden.

Restaurant was cozy, clean and service was good. Ordered the burger and was very good. Particularly enjoyed the chips with tomato relish. Would have definitely stopped again if I'd been in Chipping Campden longer. Heard very good things about their curry nights, but I wasn't there for one.

Sri Lackenby curry was delicious. Other members of our party were pleased with their food. Service was very good.

We are always popping into The Noel Arms due to living locally. Being served at the bar can protentally be a little slow - but obviously does depend what day and the time.. Restaurant staff we're quick and efficient. Food was lovely! We both had 3 courses and we couldn't find a fault. I hope all the staff get the recognition they deserve, from the waiting staff to the chef's. We always look forward to coming here. Thank you

Good beer, very good food, friendly staff, good atmosphere, I think its the best feed in town with fair prices.

Came by chance upon this restaurant and what a lovely find it was. Very polite and professional, service was great, food was absolutely delicious, highly recommended

All meals experienced during our two day stay were of the highest standard and flavour. Would recommend the Sri Lankan Black Lamb.
