They have an upper bar and a lower bar. If a visitor / tourist stands at the upper bar they are shouted at to be told they must order drinks at the lower bar. Minutes later they serve thier mates / locals at the upper bar. No thanks, I'll go somewhere better.

Staff are welcoming, drinks are reasonably priced and you can eat fish and chips from the fish and chip shop next door, which makes for a perfect evening.

We are unsure if they serve food, but you can take in food from the chip shop next door and the choice of drinks was great..

Service, locals had preference, slightly noisy back ground music, tables un cleaned . Drink quality good! . No food, but will let you in with food from next door fish and chips, which are good . Love location on side of water...

Walked in Thursday night at 9.25pm to be told "we are calling last orders - we close at 10". Not quite what i was expecting for a tourist/holiday town. (Google website suggests they close at 22.30). Be warned. Other than that, nice traditional 'pub' feel (not a gastro pub). Shame we weren't allowed to sample more than 1 beer as we were only given 35 minutes).

Blocked bar people sitting round. No room to get served. Asked 4 3 different drinks all on display. Non available. Stock control is the word.

Great location beside the Quay, good choice of beer, friendly staff and you can take your fish and chips in from Bennetts next door. What's not to like....😃

A nice place to drink, you are able to eat Bennetts fish n chips in the pub, as long as you clear up after yourself.

It is OK nothing to write home about though...Very good and handy position on Weymouth harbourside, which is something special.. The beer is good and the staff are hard working.

Cracking harbourside pub with live music. Bring your chips in from Bennetts next door - they are some of the best in Weymouth.

Half term visit to parents who are regulars in the Kings Arms, Ironically it was "happy hour" although somebody forgot to tell the barmaid (turns out is the manageress) who was miserable as sin!!!

Well what can one say other than a shame a traditional pub sees fit to think that punters in these days will except to be served beer in a filthy pub by a barwomen (short stocky with brown hair on a Saturday) who lacks even the basic manners. Yes I have come in to buy a drink of all things that seemed to really brass you off and despite me repeatedly saying please and thank you, my good manners certainly didn't rub off on you.

Only popped in for a pint but lovely pub, quality beers and top pork scratchings!

Guinness served in a John Smith glass let the pub down. Other than that, it is a great place to have a pint in a fantastic location.

The place to be on Weymouth quayside

On the final night of our holiday in Weymouth in October 2023, me my wife and son with autism decided to come off the caravan park and go round the quay. Our son Shawn loves music and as we was passing we heard a group on so I suggested we go in for a drink. The bar staff were very friendly along with the locals and when they heard shawn singing along, the female member of the band came into the side where we were and took him into the main side to sing with them. The quick drink we popped in for i can assure you led to a few more as shawn said it was his favourite pub and cant wait to come and visit you all again soon. Many thanks for making a special needs young man so happy. It really does mean a lot

Great beer, looked after expertly.

Our first visit to the Kings Arms (shamefully, as we have been in Weymouth for five years !), but it definitely will not be our last. A historic (proper job !) pub with quiet corners, warming fire, good choice of beer and good service. The happy hours pricing and allowing any fish and chips bought from a nearby chippy to be consumed in the pub are brilliant ideas.

Has the feel of a nice mix between a place for locals and visitors alike!

Great Pub, brilliant staff and the Real Ale is OK too. Really good atmosphere, they don't do food, but you can usually bring in your takeaway as long as you take your rubbish away with you, which is fair enough.

Nice place, Lovely and clean inside. Popped in for a Guinness which was wonderful. I would have stayed to have another but of the awkward woman serving telling me I was at the wrong bar and if I wanted another beer I would have to go to the right bar. WHAT.? She only had to walk 15 feet. So I moved on.

Went in for a couple of pints - good service and atmosphere, good selection of drinks. Recommend.

Stayed for a couple of nights. My dog and I were made to feel very welcome. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and tidy. Good home cooking and the beer was excellent. Would book again.

Popped in yesterday as was visiting Weymouth. Staff were very nice and friendly and the atmosphere was chilled and welcoming. Love the quirkiness of the whole pub.

As soon as you cross the bridge, it’s just in front of you at left side. Lovely location at the harbour street. Good staff who serve you well. You can have fish & chips from next door and enjoy it here. It was a hot day so drink was good to cool you down. Not a bad place to have a pint.

Bar staff surly and shut the bar at 10pm. At least 10 people were turned away….money lost! Could have easily made another £100 if they’d stayed open.☹️

Lovely pub staffed by people with great local knowledge. We had dinner without the need to book and was impressed by the service, good quality food and welcoming atmosphere.

Friendly pub, but can close early during the early part of the week. Popular with local yachties. Usual selection of beers, with Cornish ones being popuar.

Mix of locals and visitors with good staff and selection of ales and lagers. Plumped for an Amstel as it was a roasting hot day. Perfectly poured and brought back many happy memories of holidays past. Good banter with staff and locals. Lovely pub

The whole area is a great place to chill in the sun. Sitting on the dock of the bay, watching the tide roll away. Sitting on the block of the bay, waiting time. X

Harbourfront large heritage pub which knows its beers. Sagres on draught served perfectly. Lots of space inside, weekend live bands. Went a couple of times over a weekend it was so good. Large locals contingent, dog friendly, and warm atmosphere. Recommended pit stop when touring the waterfront, ideal pairing with the top fish and chip shop next door.

Haven't been here for a few years and was pleasantly surprised at how much it has improved. Atmosphere, staff and beers all great. Keep up the good work

A wonderful music session was enjoyed by a number of different sides while attending the Wessex Folk festival. In the surroundings of this age old pub with its Beautiful beamed ceiling. Wonderful atmosphere & friendly staff!!

Google clearly says 10.30 closing, just walked at 9.45 to be told last orders already called. Despite a fair few folks in there! Looks like wetherspoons are going to get my hard earned holiday cash then ☹️

I would like to say that the two staff Matt and abi were fantastic. Made us feel at home and it was abi’s birthday. Great service and friendly atmosphere we even had the ukulele club playing happy birthday. Fantastic day had by all. Massive thank you to them both

One of the better pubs, good harbour location and seating including a few to the frontage. No food on my visits. Has a few rotating beers although tend to be similar brewery inc StAustell.

Good pub perfectly set on the south side of the harbour. Jail Ale and Sea Fury on tap are kept well (my opinion of course). I like coming here.

Night I went in it was lively at the end of karaoke. Had a couple pints of Sea Fury. All in all not bad.

Had a girlie afternoon out. Not been in this bar since Covid and I certainly won’t be returning. The miserable lady serving has no idea on how to treat customers! Not made to feel welcome! It was a real chore to serve us. The white wine we ordered was not chilled but we overcome that problem by asking for ice. We then found a seat at the back. All we could smell was stale wee! Couldn’t wait to leave and get some fresh air! Such a shame as pub used to be great, clean and friendly service!!

The food was quite nice, but was shocked at the price. The pub was very cold too. But the inside was very nice. Don't think it's a pub we could afford to keep eating in.

Most inhospitable pub in Weymouth, went in 8.30 Sunday 28th, told straight away, closing at nine, served beer and wine in plastic cups, even inside? Miserable staff putting chairs on tables generally stamping about, horrible experience,used to be a great music pub .

Attitude of the bar staff stinks, to sat there and be told you’ve got an hour with your kid. Shocking. Ggggfffffffffffffff
