This pub states that it is dog friendly but this couldn’t be further from the truth. My partner and I went in to the bar for a drink with our dog. Our dog was very well behaved until one of the locals approached him. He started to bark. He didn’t bark much but everyone in the bar started being nasty to us. Saying really nasty things. We only had a couple of sips of our drinks and we left. We were made to feel really uncomfortable. Bar staff didn’t do anything. I was really upset by this. Horrible, mean place. Don’t go there, especially if you have your four legged friend with you.

Great Pub, brilliant staff and the Real Ale is OK too. Really good atmosphere, they don't do food, but you can usually bring in your takeaway as long as you take your rubbish away with you, which is fair enough.

On our first night in Weymouth we visited the Kings Arms and was greeted by some very friendly and helpful bar staff. They were not offering food, however they did say we could bring in a take away which we did ( chippie next door). The selection of beer was good and the ambience was chilled. I would definitely recommend.

If you walk around the harbour at Weymouth you have a huge choice of pubs. We chose the Kings Arms because, it allows dogs and invites you in to eat your takeaway fish and chips as long as you buy a drink. What a great idea and very welcome invite. The pub is great and prices for drinks are very good. £6.70 for a pint of beer and half a lager. Lovely landlady and welcome. Great atmosphere. Thank you My best pub in Weymouth vote

We had intended to have lunch next door at Bennett’s, however, we could not fit in there with our pushchair. When stood outside trying to decide what to do, we noticed a sign outside the pub that said you could eat your fish and chips in there, as long as you bought a drink! I went to get lunch and my Husband and Toddler went in to get a table and some drinks. We had 2 glasses of Coke, 2 glasses of blackcurrant squash, and a fruit shoot for under £10. The pub was clean and nicely decorated, with a great music selection! We didn’t order any alcoholic drinks, due to driving, but they had a great selection and these were also reasonably priced. My Husband was sad we’d only found them in the last day of our Holiday.

Walked in Thursday night at 9.25pm to be told "we are calling last orders - we close at 10". Not quite what i was expecting for a tourist/holiday town. (Google website suggests they close at 22.30). Be warned. Other than that, nice traditional 'pub' feel (not a gastro pub). Shame we weren't allowed to sample more than 1 beer as we were only given 35 minutes).

On the final night of our holiday in Weymouth in October 2023, me my wife and son with autism decided to come off the caravan park and go round the quay. Our son Shawn loves music and as we was passing we heard a group on so I suggested we go in for a drink. The bar staff were very friendly along with the locals and when they heard shawn singing along, the female member of the band came into the side where we were and took him into the main side to sing with them. The quick drink we popped in for i can assure you led to a few more as shawn said it was his favourite pub and cant wait to come and visit you all again soon. Many thanks for making a special needs young man so happy. It really does mean a lot
