Drinks only, loud and not really our scene. Main review is in my Coppid Beech Hotel review. Says sports bar but despite a decent quality Championship game on the TVs were not on.

Food served on plastic plates. Expensive. Argued with owner that tempura is a batter not breadcrumbs, said I would change for something else which was a £1.00 more expensive and she made the young girl go get the card machine before I could reorder! Dreadful customer service and food very poor

This restaurant is part of a family garden centre, visit most weeks with my mother and have always had good food, the staff are friendly and the meal is reasonably priced. As well as the main restaurant area there is a conservatory area which has been upgraded with a new roof (could now do with window blinds),relaxing atmosphere.

My partner and myself quite often have lunch, also drinks and cakes at the Bear Cafe. The Staff are so friendly, most of the food is homemade and delicious. Nothing is too much trouble, the ambience of the Cafe is lovely and they have a Wood Burner going in the cold months which is super. The Bear Cafe is at the very Top of our list to go to which is often Two very happy customers Wendy and Steve

Most of us know that post pandemic many country pubs are suffering due the decline in customers and the current cost of living and every rising water and energy bills. The Plough inn is no exception and times have been hard. Even so, the landlady and her partner have worked tirelessly to try and get back on track. A new Cooker has been installed at a considerable cost and the eating lounge has has a lovely refurb. I went for a Sunday dinner with my partner and the meal was very tasty and my beef was tender and cooked to a perfection. My partner ordered roast chicken which went down really well. For deserts we were presented with a choice of typical English Sunday deserts, served with fresh cream or custard. We also ordered a bottle of red that was complementary with both meats and deserts. " The landlady has just started "Breakfasts at the Plough" every Saturday from 08.00am -11.00 am. Great breakfasts and great prices, served with fresh coffee, teas and fruit juices. The Plough also has live music nights, bingo, and pub quizzes. Plan some tie to drop in and I feel sure you will not be disappointed.

Avoid this place. Used to go often, but noted recently the area is very dirty, today filthy with uncollected trays piled high with food plates, drinks, food on tables, food and spilled drinks all over chairs, floor, settees, tables. There was nowhere fit to sit or that could be cleaned by a customer. Asking one of the staff to help at least wipe a table ended up with rudeness, then unpleasantness, then the two guys getting nasty and shouting, totally out of order. We were told they were busy , we'd have to stand there and wait. We suggested they stop making drinks until they made some tables available. Then when they started arguing we put the tray on the counter and asked for a refund. We did not get one. And one of us had been asked to asked to pay a surcharge for soya milk. I had needed to ask the guy on the till to remove an additional £ 2.50 off the bill as I noticed it on the handset before he put in the cost of the drinks! He made some excuse of crashing the computer. I was quite surprised the customer before us was asked to scan her app twice. I note in the last review similar comments. Harris and Hoole is not cheap and wants to be that bit more classy. But if staff drag the coffee shops down in this way then the chain will go under. Staff too full of themselves to clear tables end up with a dirty cafe with health risks. Very poor and disappointing. Tesco need to remove them from the store.
