WE go about once a month after my husband has had his treatment, food usually good, hot, although portions have got smaller over the years. Our meal was not very good, my pizza did not have the rocket on it and it appeared much thinner than usual. My husbands chips were cold. The manager served us and did say, any problems let him know. I looked for him after we started our meal , could not see him, so thought oh well. I did go up to the bar after our meal, raised my disappointment, but because we had eaten our food,, except the cold chips , the bar lady said nothing she could do, thanked us for our feed back. So if not satisfied, motto to raise concerns, there and then. We will go back next month ...........

We went to Le Pain Quotidient for a breakfast during a weekday. We were greeted in a very friendly manner at the entrance and taken to our table. Our server was Poonam Malik and she was absolutely amazing as she made sure we were served on time and there was nothing left that could drive an unsatisfactory response. The food was great!

Met a friend with our two babies at the cafe here yesterday. Lovely coffee, but prices quite high, service good - a lovely bunch of ladies - but very slow. Desperately need another till as the queues got very long due to how much time it took to put each order through. Also an additional barista would make things a lot faster too. We didn’t eat, only had a couple of drinks (mostly due to the cost of the cakes/pastries/sandwiches etc.) so decided to eat what I had at home. Lovely weigh and pay area in the shop to help limit packaging, though again expensive. Particularly for the pasta options!

Visiting from abroad, was delighted by the professional service. The Mocca we ordered passed the spoon test. Was so smooth Id let my daughter date it. Ive got nearly a decade in the coffee industry, hands down the best one ive ever tasted. Eggs Royale, perfect eggs. Made me write this review I was so delighted. Only thing I can suggest is that they get a salt and pepper shaker! -Rick

I went to the upstairs cafe at M&S. Hedge End yesterday afternoon with my adult son. The cafe was not busy but we still waited for someone to bother to serve us. The cafe was not clean, the many empty tables were littered with dirty plates & crockery & we struggled to find somewhere clean to sit. The floor under the tables was filthy, covered with discarded food. There was no brown sugar or sweeteners &Apparantly had been none for about 2 weeks according to one member of staff. My sons cappuccino was only 1/2 full & when I asked for the cup to be filled he ended up with a cup of hot milk! Not a pleasant experience. I will not be visiting the M&S cafe at Hedge End again.

Blimey, where do I even start? We recently went here for breakfast, as they’d finally brought back their full English breakfasts. We used to love coming here for breakfast, but it’s truly gone down hill in recent years. Which is such a massive shame. The server was rude and abrupt, and honestly looked like she’d rather be anywhere else than there (which, to be honest… I’d of been the same) The app was broken, so couldn’t order online - which wasn’t great as they’re severely understaffed. After ordering we waited nearly 25 for our coffee, which was basically just warm milk. Food, well we wondered where our food was for a while, despite the constant dinging of the service bell from the kitchen for over 7 minutes, which everyone could hear apart from the servers. We could clearly see our food getting colder by the minute. Our food arrived stone cold, slimed potatoes , rubbery eggs. In the end we sent back our food and quickly got out of there. Can’t forget the great ambient music played by a workers phone, which probably wasn’t very family friendly or radio edits. Honestly, they had no organisation, sugar from bowls with table spoons that was passed around from table to table, no clear management making sure things were done. I did wonder what was so fascinating in the customer toilets, cause most employees went in there 3/4 times during the 45 minutes we were there. Definitely will not be returning. Thank goodness.

We had gone there as a birthday treat for my partner mid week. We ordered 2 adult meals and 2 children meals. One of our orders was the beef cottage pie off of the specials board, when it arrived it was a child sized portion and was completely dried out inedible and very unappetising, I have had nicer budget microwave meals. The alternative wasn’t much better pie and packet mash. The children’s macaroni cheese was completely bland with no hint of cheese in it. Don’t believe what they say on their website ‘At The Hampshire Hog, all dishes are freshly cooked using only the best ingredients.’ There was nothing freshly made on our plates. Really disappointed, what should have been a special treat/ occasion turned out to be a big waste of money.
