A friend reccommended this place after we had dreadful service with a booking in new town. They really took care of us. Thanks Bob. You are awesome.

I love this shop and the iced drinks options! The crew is very nice and kind, always starting a nice chat! It’s my first stop on my weekly commute

This pub looks lovely from the street and has a beautiful setting on a river. It’s such a shame that the food and service do not match that. Went for dinner Friday evening. You can not have a tab running so have to keep getting up and paying for everything each time. We realise now why but we shall get to that. Bar man was dreadful and rude. Everything we asked for was answered with a no. Food was terrible. Everyone got given cold chips and my Mother had to send her charred tart back. It should not have been brought out in the first place. Our fish was overcooked and the pork rib was like rubber. We had to collect all the cutlery ourselves and no one cleared our plates. We had to move them to a free table. We noticed that the table next to us were being served by a very attentive server and we asked why we couldn’t have service. We were told that only people staying in the rooms at the pub got this. Whoever thought this rule up is mad. What sort of impression does this give to other diners. Whether or not you are staying, the meal part is extra and everyone in the dining room should be treated the same. Don’t waste your money going here. Everything about the experience except the location and building is terrible.

Went in here for tea and cake whilst visiting Oxford. No greeting from waitress just " Do you want afternoon tea?" The place was almost empty but we were shown to the worst possible table squeezed into a corner , waitress then walked off. When the party at the next table began using foul language we got up and left. Far nicer places in Oxford, avoid this one.

Been spoilt now it is only take away on the upper seating floor. Have to wait ages at counter for your food / drink then carry upstairs yourself in takeaway cups. Toasted teacake butter was ruined as had been put in a box with a warm teacake and ended up as liquid by time the coffee was made.
