Morrisons Cafe in Dover

For the second week an absolute shambles ordered fish and chips last week told the lady cooking it would only cook us an all day breakfast as we were to early @ 11:40 this week we delayed our arrival to 1pm and ordered fish and chips and was told they only had an all day breakfast I spoke with the young man on the till whose attitude was at best disconcerted I also pointed out that the male toilets haven’t been open on my visits for the last 3 weeks even whilst I write the lady is telling those in the que they are only doing breakfast the shame is I came back and had told others the fish and chips was good but I won’t be coming back which means working in the care home I do will mean Morrisons will lose about £1000 per month but hey I’m only a customer Tesco here we come 🤮🤮🤮

Terrible service and cold food would not go back , I asked for milk and it took so long my tea was cold , the staff were just talking and ignored me . I was told they have no poached eggs but I could have fried ….. and when the breakfast came it was cold and horrible tasting . They only had one other customer at the time so no need for such shabby service . Very disappointed as it wasn’t cheap nearly £17 for 2 breakfast and 2 drinks . In this cost of living crisis it was a major treat but a major let down .I did write a complaint email but have not heard back

Totally awful no redeeming features at all Cold sausage bacon solid egg filmy beans cold toast served in a pot !! The most disgusting coffee ever

We have coming hear for years now but this visit was by far the worst I counted 13 tables with plates on and staff just walking past them like it was there. The food was only just ok, things missing again what gets me is it wasn’t even busy how Morrison’s have you let the cafe slide down hill so bad?

Went here this morn for 8 am. Poor worker all on her own till 9 am to do the till and make the breakfasts. Clearly needed additional help, reflected in missed items from what we should have had. Wasnt anything special for the cost, Folkestones cafe is much better. Customers coming in with noone there to serve, having to go to the kitchen area to get someones attention.

We waited 15min to be seated and 40mins for our breakfast when it arrived I had a huge black hair on top of my beans, I should of sent it but after the wait I couldn't be bothered so took hair off plate and left the beans, there was customers waiting for ages to be served at till in cafe the lady kept disappearing for ages

I went to the restaurant in morrisons in dover the other day with my family we have ordered hot food and I was waiting for a hour we was staving and what they bring it was something Disgusting the Sauce looking very bad and tasty very bad. And for pudding they said we have to wait for another half an hour so i just gave up. Don’t recommend this place really.

We have been several times to Morrison's restaurant and normally we enjoy go in there. We were advised there was a 20 minutes wait for our food. Found a table as several tables needed clearing and felt squashed as there was a large group of people on the table next to us which we did try to move tables but it was busy so not able to. Normally when the food arrives the waitress advises that the plate is hot and the food is piping hot too. Not so today the plates were cold and the food lukewarm. We appreciate it was busy and didn't feel there was enough staff to cope with the amount of customers in the restaurant. I wanted to go and mention it but my husband said he believed it was so busy and didn't think we would be taken seriously.

Visited Dover Morrisons today for lunch. My wife wanted the Christmas dinner but they had sold out with no sign saying so; tables full of dirty plates and leftovers; worst of all was a used medical dressing on the floor with blood on it. Needless to say we won't be visiting again soon.

Really - if you are not fussy and want to grab a cuppa then it is OK. There seemed to be more staff faffing about chairs than clearing tables, organising mugs etc. Sandwich I had - was lovely. Cake was good too I understand. Just not sure how hard it is to be organised and therefore making it seem a nice place to eat in - relax possibly but couldn't wait to get out

Decided to have lunch after doing our shopping. Very pleasantly surprised. Friendly, helpful staff and good clean food. Had a lovely fresh salad and my husband had the lamb shank. Excellent value for money.

Came in here to have all day breakfast but menu on entering said only til 3 pm. Only saw the all day brunch once we had ordered and sat down. Ordered beetroot burgers with extra burger in each. Were warned they would be big, which they were. Quite spicy but a bit earthy tasting. Also had lots of diced beetroot in this burger. Would be better if minced finely. Bun was nice. Big portion of chips, nice and crispy. Not the best beetroot burger i have eaten but well done Morrisons for catering for us vegetarians.

Needs a makeover. Service slow and in need of systems review I think. Busy though....Very basic. Seems to have a monopoly in this vicinity.

Had a fantastic breakfast in the cafe when the beast from the east was here but also the cafe staff were absolutely pleasant and welcoming

Normally go here for breakfast. Food is of a pretty standard 'what you would expect' quality. Service is ok. Variety / menu options are good. And handy for doing a bit of shopping after!

Thought I’d treat the family to a cooked breakfast and me to the fact I wouldn’t have to do the washing up! Well what can I say? I ordered 2 large breakfasts and a child’s breakfast we had coffee and a slush puppie. £18.45p and 42minutes later my coffee was finished and the breakfasts arrived. Frozen mushrooms like What the heck? It’s a bloody supermarket for God’s sake. Is it too much to walk and get fresh mushrooms and cook them. Fried bread that was so greasy I could have fried an egg in the surplus. And to compliment the dish they had NO MUSTARD it’s a supermarket isn’t it? Food was hot sausages were tasteless and cheap. I’ll cook in future and get someone else to wash up!!.......

Orders are still taken when it can take over half an hour to be served. The selection is limited, considering it is within the store "they don't do ham", there are no fresh vegetable dinners.

Have tried many of the classics, lamb shank, fish and chips and the desserts. Excellent quality and incredible value, i dont think ive had better in many a venue and im quite picky with the food quality, doesnt have to be fancy just good quality. Staff are very friendly and good service. I see a few people have given morrisons one star, all i can say is they must need mouth surgery or brain surgery, or possibly both!

Good tasty food, large selections of choices of food and drinks. Staff are normally miserable and service can be rather slow usually around 30 to 40 minute wait for food.

Every time Ihave gone to Morrisons for a coffee, I kept asking to myself if this is what English people think coffee is, it I bloody water !! It doesn't even taste of coffee, like... Jesus, use some coffee beans, I know that now days coffee is expensive but come on... Morrisons make way more money than any of your customers could ever make, and you let us pay for some warm water, at price of coffee ? Disgraceful.

Great value and food is always good. Nice atmosphere and large open windows to watch the world go by

Esattamente quello che ci si aspetta da un posto all'interno di un supermarket. Colazione inglese buona ma non eccelsa, torte buone ma non eccelse, bevande delle macchinette automatiche.

Amazing value and the staff are second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are always cheerful.

I eat small meals so already having tried the childrens spaghetti bolognese in another Morrisons cafe I decided to have it again. This time it was dreadful - peppers had been added to the bolognese sauce. Who on earth adds peppers to this dish. Totally spoilt the meal, thank goodness it came with garlic bread - at lease I got something to eat.

Wow it's ages to take order and then told 25 minutes wait , cups dirty plates dirty and well the tables are disgusting, food does not look cooked will I eat here again never never never

Have had Breakfast, Lunches, Dinners loads of times in Morrison's the food has always been faultless, but ordering is the longest process ever as there is either no body there or they are really slow, they are always friendly tho, food is usually very slow I would say on average between 20minutes and 40minute wait.

Have had breakfast here a cpuple of times - not my choice

we went there for lunch the staff where a bit moody not helpfull at all the tables where not very clean there was plates and cups and food left on tables i had to clean my own table i believe this place needs more staff to cope with this as clearly there was not but the food was very nice

having tried the food here a few times its very budget marketed and sloppy although they do a meal deal for parents with school children after school club but the quality of there breakfast and presentation leaves alot to be desired, i will have drinks there but never food again

Morrison's café offers all sorts of basic meals and having tried several of them we were not expecting a surprise. I chose a prawn 'build your own' salad which was pretty good value BUT -and here's the surprise - my wife ordered a 'ploughman's lunch. We expected a bit of cheese and bread and perhaps an onion or two. Here's what we got : a full large plate on which were a chunk of cheddar, 3 slices of gammon ham, a melton mowbray pork pie, a boiled egg, cole slaw and a full green salad.No bread but it wasn't missed. It was excellent and we though incredible value for just over £3. Other reviews have correctly identified the helpful and cheerful staff. I agree. Well done all of you.

Stopped for breakfast before going on the dover ferry. Nice breakfast, a small morrisons not as big as ours in milton keynes. Just a shame there was no supermarket petrol stations around that part of dover

A good range of breakfasts, cakes, sandwiches and main courses. Reasonable prices nice clean areas. The food is ordered at the till and brought out to you when ready. For some reason you can only buy the Sun newspaper at the till. Other papers can be purchased in store before eating.

A lovely little cafe with plenty to choose from. The breakfast is a must and is worth every penny. Always busy and the people who serve you are always cheerful with a smile, they even crack a joke or to which makes you feel relaxed on your visit!

The cafe have regular offers on and I got gammon, egg, chips and peas for £3. The food is just everyday food served quickly and at a very good price. For a supermarket cafe this is first class.

Elderly staff of two were overwhelmed with the amount of customers. The ordering of food from one till and then beverages from the second till is stupid. By the time food finally arrived it was warm not hot and we had long since finished our tea (which considering all the good brands shop in store - was nasty).

For a family restaurant during school term time it's fantastic value for money as kids eat free.

It's our local Morrisons and we called in for a late breakfast after a busy morning. The food was plentiful, freshly cooked and tasty. The staff were helpful and pleasant.

Quick and easy pick up wot u want and pay easy as that. Food lovely.staff are pleasant comfortable seating as well.

The que was quite long in a dreary Sunday Morning and the lady in the till was taking orders very quickly. She was absolutely lovely and I had a really nice chat with her.

This Morrisons has a busy café overlooking the River Dour. Usually the pre-order point for hot meals is not staffed, so customers visit the servery and give any main course order to the cashier. My chicken and ham pie, mash and beans was quoted as 20 minutes and came in 18. Choice of hot and cold drinks is ample but less so for those wanting fruit. I selected an orange and spent some of the wait time peeling it. There are some easy chairs, but the rest are at tables for four or couples. Can be very busy but also useful for elevenses.
