Dunelm in Dartford

Asked for 2 coffees which took ages because the 3 members of staff were chatting and totally ignored us. They carried on chatting whilst serving us which was very rude!!

Went today to buy curtains for our holiday home, my wife and I met the most helpful shop assistant ever she was so helpful and nothing was to much trouble I just want to say Dunhelms are very lucky to have Alice working for them.

I went into dunelm in bromborough on the Croft retail for lunch on 12th April. It was really busy, I was at the counter and a lady who i presume was in charge came behind the counter looking very unkept, dirty and started shouting at all the staff, I found this very unprofessional and put me off wanting to be served by her so I left without ordering. I’ve eaten here before without a problem as all the staff and very friendly and efficient, maybe this one particular lady need to retrain in food hygiene and speak better to her staff !

Good food well price and friendly . Nice place for lunch while shopping and chatting to friends and family

Very bad customer service. Told to look online as they were too lazy to look for what I needed. Took me an hour but found items myself. Would not go back. If they don't want to help their customers then don't do the job.

Just wanted to praise the Dunelm cafe staff - they are very polite, professional and serve the dishes with a smile. They also know how to make a cappuccino with frothy milk - many don’t!

Visited the Cheltenham dunelm at Swindon village on bank holiday Monday! The mens customer toilets were disgusting and smelt of really strong stale urine ! The toilet was black and the lock was broken! Have they not heard of bleach? There was no cleaning schedule anywhere! Was a terrible experience!

Got here early on a Saturday morning with a friend. No Q but only seemed to be one member of staff so had to wait for her to prepare and take food/drink to someone sitting at a table. She was busy, but polite and helpful. I thought the food selection and prices were favourable. I had a tasty, well filled bacon bap. My friend had an equally well filled sausage bap. We were both pleased with the experience and will definitely return.

Went into the Cafe for lunch at Dunelm Dartford, never again. Nothing seemed to be wrong with food,as far as I could see from the people who were lucky enough to have been served. When I arrived there were four people in front of me, 20 Minutes later there were three. Only one person serving and it was like watching paint dry, she was leaning on the counter chatting. I walked away as there was no urgency to serve customers no matter how long the queue. They should have one person making drinks and another taking orders and payment, no wonder it was empty obviously people who go to Dunelm regularly know to avoid the snail pace service in cafe.

Manager was rude and dismissive but Nicole on the till was very polite and helpful. Would come back again but only because of the positive experience with the girl at the till.

I visited Dunelm in Dartford with my wife, she needed to visit the ladies so I visited the cafe, there was quite a few are not many tables spare. I noticed though that quite a few tables were taken up with people without any food or drink! By the time my wife came I've been in the queue for over 10 minutes and just about to the front of it, regardless aside by this time there was no free tables at all. I asked the person behind the counter one morning to do if there is no tables to which she answered you get a table 1st and then your Food & Drink! I explained that I was on my own in the queue and he basically said that tough. I complained to the manager of the store and was told the same thing in no uncertain terms their customer services and CEO could neither justify nor correct this. this is discrimination and I will never shop there again and would advise everyone to boycott this store and any others run by the same company whilst they continue to discriminate against single people or persons that are on their own.

Just wanted to say what a great member of staff you have. Amy B was so helpful this week when she asked if I needed any assistance after seeing me sitting down on one of the sofas. I was going online to order a rug I had seen in your store. I had asked another assistant if the rug was available to be told that not only did they not have any at the store (large soft grey rug £149) but that it will take up to 4 weeks for it to be delivered. Knowing how things have been affected recently with supply and demand I resigned myself to ordering online and waiting. Then Amy came along. She said she didn't think that the information I was just given was correct and went on her ipad to check. She said it was showing one in stock there and if that was not the case delivery could be arranged by Friday of this week, totally opposite to what I had just been told. She went and found the size rug I needed and carried it to the tills and said if I wanted to continue shopping it is waiting for me. I did continue to shop and ended up spending £200 there thanks to Amy :-) She needs recognition for her outstanding customer service.

Absolutely disgusted to receive a parking fine from the car park in Dartford, took my mother in law to Dunelm as she had never been before had a great day grabbed a coffee whilst we shopped was slightly over my time in the car park and fined. Dunelm response sorry nothing to do with us. But it’s ok to spend a few hundred pounds in your store Will not be going back there again Ever. Avoid Avoid Avoid do not use that store horrendous.

This was my first trip to dunelm, I had a lovely cream tea for one (which got little confusing but nothing to worry about!) and there were lots of home things. Sorry to the reduced section where mum farted, haha! Will come back.

Disappointed either the variety of food could really do with improving, although the staff were lovely (writing on behalf of my Mum)

I had ordered 4 pairs of curtains but only 2 pairs were delivered. As mentioned on my email and on Dunelm website I went to my nearest store (Dartford) to sort this out either by returning the partial delivery or arranging the delivery of remaining items. But the store staff did not help at all, they just asked to contact Customer care number which no one answers. Other businesses normally treat costomers in a much better way and try to sort out such issues for the customers rather that asking customers to call on a phone number or online chat etc. It was Dunelm's mistake so I expected them to sort this out for me. After this experience, I will avoid shopping at Dunelm online or specially at this store considering store staff were so unhelpful.

Don’t get anything delivered they send you a message after the date it should arrive saying great news it’s on it’s way. It not great new you have payed and it’s not come in that time. You should not have to pay for delivery.

entered Dunelm Stevenage at 15.55. On entering I asked a young man filling the shelf “does the store stock extra deep fitted bed sheets. ?”He said “Dorma do it” and pointed me in the direction of Dorma. Which was right next to the aisle he was filling.Standing next to him was a lady with a notepad.After looking for a good 5 minutes I returned to speak to the young man but was intercepted by the lady saying “can I help you” with attitude. I said I’m looking for a deep fitted sheet (but she knew this because she was stood there when I asked the young man) she pointed at the Dorma section too, I explained that I had had a look there and couldn’t find what I was looking for, I started to head back assuming that she was following me to help knowing I was having trouble, only to be screamed at “DO YOU WANT MY HELP OR WHAT!!” I actually thought she was following me over to the section to help as I have said it was literally across the walkway it’s not as if she had to walk too far to help me. I felt so humiliated as there were other customers around who looked in shock at the way she was speaking to me so I came back to her and said “could I have you name please?” She screeched “WHY WOULD YOU NEED THAT??” I said “because I would like to report you for being so rude and unhelpful” she replied with a vile tone “I’m the store manager that’s all you need to know” then jumped a step back and said “you’re more than 2 metres near me” which I was clearly not as there was a walkway between us and I’m a carer and have seen first hand the effects of Covid 19 so I’m fully aware of social distancing. The lady was causing such a scene she shouted at me and pointed “GET OUT OF THE SHOP!!” I’m a 52 year old women and have never been so humiliated in my life, I’m sorry but all that was needed was for them to take a little time out of their day to show me where the sheets were. I said to her I would gladly leave I was shaking by this point and very upset. On my way out I asked the cashier if she would give me the managers name as nobody had name badges or status on and she said “can I ask why?” I said “because I would like to report your manager for being so rude and extremely unhelpful”. She answered “ in that case I’m sorry I can’t disclose that information”I had travelled from Shefford to Stevenage specifically for the sheet. My daughter went back in to the shop to look for it for me and upon entering saw the said manager telling a colleague about it and laughing. I’m surprised they do any business in the store. I’m absolutely disgusted.

Great shop and great cafe. Friendly helpful staff. The place to go for everything. Clean and pleasant surroundings.

I enjoy shopping here and sometimes meet my friends here for coffee and a chat. Was disappointed to see that they have recently installed car park cameras with no way of extending your stay by paying!Just after Xmas I received a penalty fine in the post after I’d spent a considerable amount in store! I took this to the manager, with my receipt -timed and dated!! I was told they couldn’t do anything about it! Poor customer service i feel! I will now shop and meet friends elsewhere, where there is no time restrictions.

I love this store as it has a good vibe. There is a great product range and a range of brands available too. The store assistants are helpful and friendly - whether you ask a question on the shop floor or if you are being served at the till - it's service with a smile!!! I love browsing and some days have come here on my lunch break too. You can get lots of ideas by looking at what's hot - there's a massive free car park (for the entire shopping complex) at the front of the store too, which is very convenient.

Browsed store with friend, decided what we would purchase and then thought we would have lunch. It was busy and had to wait long time to be served. After finishing then purchased our items and left. Three weeks later a parking fine saying I stayed longer than allowed. I have been on many ocasions having purchased curtains, towels china etc. I will not be back! What a way to treat customers!!

Getting to the first floor cafe via the slowest lift. You arrive at a semi deserted cafe with dirty tables a not overly clean floor in places and a surly member of staff, who clearly isnt enjoying her lonely job.The cakes are massively over priced and tiny portions.Its set up to look like one of the major chains but doesnt have their poorish level of experience.

Ordered the Fulton small side board 18/11/18 to be delivered on 8/12/18, after receiving confirmation the previous day, the Delivery failed to take place. Rang customer services I was kept waiting 25 minutes , before any call handler became free, no explanation on why my item wasn’t delivered but my query would now have to go under investigation at the warehouse, I was informed this would take 3 days, rang customer service again 3 days later 11/12/18 no one had looked at the investigation query at the warehouse, again I was informed that this would be flagged up again to look at ASAP. Rang customer service for the 3rd time on the 17/12/18 for an update, still nobody had looked at the query and the call handler didn’t know why my item wasn’t delivered. Later that day I received an email to say that they are dealing with my query and my item would be delivered soon. 24/12/18 I received a telephone call to inform me that my item will now be delivered on 27/12/18, once again delivery failed to take place. Customer service was contacted again for the fourth time and once again they didn’t know why my item wasn’t delivered. It has now been 1 month and 10 days since Dunelm willingly took my money for the item which yet is to appear, I think I’ve been more than patient so I’ve asked for a refund, to which I’m sceptical to wether that’s going to appear. For a large well known store the service is diabolical I would score zero rating and four that I’d recommend or order anything again.

My partner took her mother who has dementia.on returning to the car she shut her finger in the door and was unable to drive straight away.she has now received a parking ticket for being 15 minutes over,she was in a disabled bay,that have got her details from DVLA.wont be shopping here again.

Popped in here for a light snack and a cup of tea with my wife and her parents! Tea was not good, my cake was dry and the service wasn't very good either!

Always love going to Dunelm , find so many different items , not expensive but the things look so great.

Popped in today as we were shopping there, three young girls serving only one working!!

I popped in here today with my mother in law and son for a light lunch. I ordered a jacket potato for my son with beans and cheese. Paying the price of an adult but she brought it out without any of the salad garnish as she didn’t think he would eat it and she then told me they had run out of cheese.

Convenient little coffee shop that sells a range is sandwiches and cakes as well as jacket potatoes .

I met a friend for an early coffee (9.30). We had a bacon bap which was freshly cooked so nice and hot when it arrived. We also shared a toasted tea cake and found that tasty too.

Whenever we go to any shops in this retail park we always go into Dunelm even if just for a coffee. It's quite a good shop and the café certainly doesn't let it down. Usual cafe menu, sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes, cakes etc. Well worth a visit when nearby.

As we shop in Dunelm we always take time to go to the cafe. Great selection of cakes and they also do breakfasts etc. I always go for cake and a cuppa. All Dunelm stores have great cafes but the best one has been Harlow cafe for me.

I'm normally a huge fan but will not be returning to the Dartford store again. I have just received a parking fine for the use of the store car park dated back to September (5months ago). I remember going on this date as I took a friend as I was in plaster after breaking my ankle and was on crutches. I bought all new bedroom stuff and we stopped for coffee. My fine is for £85 but £50 if I pay early. Great way to lose your customers.

Lots to choose from here Kitchen items,Bedding,Curtains/Blinds/Drapes,Crockery,Pots and Pans,Lighting,Floor coverings and Home Furnishings in general. They don’t stock everything,but they do have a wide selection of goods and a fair sprinkling of bargain/sale items in a bright well lit shop. They also have on site a Tea/Coffee shop (PAUSA) that is mainly for drinks and snacks but also provides very limited Breakfasts and Lunches at reasonable prices. Parking is on site and is free.

If you're going to buy something from here be prepared for miserable looking staff that try to ignore and avoid you. I had to literally shout to get some eye contact and attention from the staff in there. Overall experience has left a somewhat sour taste to our visit here.

If you arent in a rush, this cafe can offer good value. The staff are pleasant but cant keep up with demand on a Saturday. So if you dont mind a wait, then the food is worth waiting for.

Only really visit the cafe. Do a nice strong coffee and the cakes are good price is reasonable , only down side is the slow service dont go if your pressed for time

He estado aquí varias veces (normalmente después de visitar Halford) y me gusta por su informalidad y bacon panecillos. El personal es excelente.

Lugar agradable para sentarse y tomar un café y aperitivos en su viaje de compras entre. El personal era muy servicial y amable.

Este es el lugar favorito de mi esposa cuando comprar toda la ropa de las cosas. Las grandes ideas de almacenamiento también. El personal es amable y servicial cuando tienes preguntas.

always a great variety of home good and always in stock, staff are always on hand to help or go to stick room to check for items.

Unfortunately, whenever I have been to the cafe, the tables are invariable a bit grubby, I nearly always have to clear a table myself, and the Ladies' lavatory leaves much to be desired. The staff are friendly and seem to be busy, so maybe more staff need to be hired in order to maintain standards

Nice coffee and sausage bap. Staff friendly and helpful but won't stop again due to the new parking regulations and several people I know getting tickets!

Love shopping here, always find what I'm looking for and a lot more as well. All reasonably priced. I have bought items in every department. Am going to pick up bedspread today which I ordered online.

I regularly stop here for a coffee. It is always good coffee and the staff are very pleasant and helpful.Great home-ware shop too. I always seem to come home with something new!

I love this place I get all my bed linen curtains and blinds needs here plus so many more great place to shop and a good coffee shop to boot

If you are looking for any type of home furnishing I would recommend Dunelm! They carry a huge stock of high quality goods.

There is a good range of food and drink to choose from in this little venue nestled in the corner of the top floor of Dunelm in Dartford. I recommend the cream tea - delish!!!!

Excellent store for buying for the home. Good service and easy to park. There is a café upstairs with toilets that are kept clean. They have a very good range of bedding selling Dorma and their own label.

It's great to have a cafe in Dunelm Mills as it's off the beaten track. Limited choice, mainly sandwiches and cake with great coffee.

I love this shop. Just moved and have spent many a happy hour buying bits for my new house. I would recommend this shop for bedding and curtains.

Located on the first floor of this busy retail store, which itself is located within a small retail park, the Pausa Caffe offers a wide range of hot and cold food, as well as a good choice of drinks, although the majority of customers simply opt for a tea, coffee or hot chocolate. There are Fun Bags for children (consisting of sandwich, crisps, juice, raisins, and cookie), and children are very welcome, but the dim lighting, dark furniture, and the fact that it is located in a store for bedding, curtains, soft furnishings, kitchen equipment and homewares, keeps the number of young patrons very low. It is possible to sit back and relax! Staff are efficient, friendly and polite, whilst the drinks are well priced and drinkable. Not a destination by itself, but if shopping for homewares, then give it a try before you buy. Also don't let the stairs put you off visiting, there is a large lift available, and once upstairs, everything is accessible. Although wifi is available in other Pausa cafes nationwide, I couldn't see any signal during my visit. Parking spaces are also popular, at weekends you'll normally have to wait for a spot to open, although I've never had to wait too long.

A comfortable coffee/snack corner, upstairs in the Dunelm store. There are toilets tucked away in the corner, which is useful. My friend and I just had coffees at our last visit, which were fine, but there was a selection of paninis and the like if we'd wanted them. They also serve cakes, but on this occasion we were strong-willed!

Been going here since it opened for every household need. Good selection of products at very reasonable prices. Sometimes difficult to park in the car park. It is sometimes better to park just outside. Good coffee shop as well to have a break.Curtains and bedding are good. Cheap shower heads and bathroom bits are great. Well worth a look.

Great Place to stop and have a short snack, coffee and cake. Excellent Staff and also great service. Very easy and the price is reasonable.
