The Clipper in Dartford

The restaurant was good with great food and lovely music, but they need to improve their services we waited for our food for ages two hours, I almost gave up and left. 😅, but what made me stay longer was the ladies night event the music was brilliant. 😂

Very rude staff and very aggressive security. Last night a man was slapped by one of the door guy so badly,he ended up on floor.And few weeks back I experienced security guys pushing a guy to the floor and literally beating him to hell…. Common people ! After you getting tipsy make sure you check the card machine what are they charging you….out of 10 times 9 times over charging. I suppose to pay £20 for 8 shots and the “lovely” lady tried to make me pay £35.80😳 I’m glad I was awake and realised. Not recommended at all

The bodyguards in there very rude , the staff low quality regarding service and drink offers. Every night somebody is fighting in there and the staff don’t make they re job properly. I ll never go in there again.

Still resembles the clipper. I'm not it's biggest fan. But the music was good, the beer was cold and reasonably priced. Had a good laugh. Maybe another visit or 2 to convince me otherwise.

Trouble can't have a good night without something happening there

Poor welcome and poor service. You get violated by security to enter somewhere that has 4 customers in 😅 then the three-four staff working make the one customer at the bar wait 5 mins to serve you over priced drinks 😊 avoid and go Malt shovel instead

Great staff friendly comfortable place to sit have a good drink on a Saturday night, dj good, air con on so lovely and cool inside, heaters and roofing outside. Drinks cheap. Be back next week 👍😜🍻

Went to the clipper for a couple of drinks. You have a lot of choice when it comes to drinks offering beers, spirits and cocktails i had a pint of Guinness not the best pour so I went onto whiskey cant go wrong with that. The food offer was standard nothing too special, but the offer is there. I found the bar and seating area to bee too dark I am sure this is fine during the night party but when you’re just going for a quick bite and drink with friends it just feels off putting. That being said the staff there where nice to talk to and the outside area was a large size. Toilets where clean but very bland. The building is a great size i just feel like more could be done with it and make the venue something to talk about.

Agrresive bouncers., Horrible staff Demanding money to stay there. You buy a drink then threatened and try to force you to pay £15 to finish it. A complete rip off I'd avoid it and drink elsewhere, there's much nicer places to go.

Not bad, they play good music but this being a downside they have a tendency to repeat a lot of the songs so eventually you get bored of hearing it. Shisha is a nice touch a little pricey tho. Price 15 pounds to get in including 4 drinks is a very good deal! Reasonably priced despite some reviews they have a lot of drink deals very value for money. Doesn't get busy. Big toilets but could do with a clean absolutely filthy! Staff are friendly and helpful no complaints. Came here a few times now very hit and miss. I would return again at some point but I can't really recommend as being a must go to place unless you need a budget night out then perfect.

Won £30 on fruit machine the machine wouldn’t let me collect my winnings, asked all staff and bouncers for help, the tall bouncer with dreds just man handled me all I remember was ending up on the floor getting kicked and punched In the head! Disgusting behaviour not happy

Great place to go during the week

Amazing people, great customer service ,prices are reasonable. Just some customers drinking too much ,and making trouble, maybe security could try to prevent it somehow. I had to run away twice as I felt in danger. Please try to see who can't behave and if they are not behaving properly while intoxitated ,get them out. Otherwise all great, good vibes. Love you all for hard work ,music and good prices. All the best guys ❤❤

Dirty seats, aggressive door staff, over priced. Went in with my other half and well we must have tried every seat in the venue but couldn't find one that wasn't sticky or muddy. Drink smelt off too

The worst pub I've been to. Managers, instead of retaining the customer and solving the problem in his favor, do nothing. Terrible atmosphere. I will never go back.

Met a friend for lunch and I have to say I liked it, staff were really friendly and the food was cooked lovely. Wish the male patrons could leave the downstairs loo usable n pee in the toilet n not the floor! But blokes n their aim..... Would go again for a quiet natter n a meal, menu was more than reasonable price, and still table service, but the staff made it easy. A good experience!

The staff are rude When asked if I could speak to management they said no multiple times they was non negotiable and very miss informative telling me I was unbanned on the bank holiday the weekend before I went out to get to the door and for them to tell me I’m still banned but kept saying I don’t know when asked how long for it’s my local pub/club and I was only asking how long I was banned for to not get a response isn’t fair . The drinks are expensive and have made me ill so many times I contracted a bacterial infection from there as they don’t clean the lines of the drinks properly. Security don’t search bags thoroughly if they can’t undo a button on your bag they won’t look in that area could have anything on them. They didn’t kick someone out first time when they noticed they was causing trouble waited 3 times to kick them out which could have lead the situation to escalate quicker. Security told my friend she was banned despite the fact my friend has only ever been in there once and never done anything to get banned. They are a joke and I wouldn’t recommend at all.

I was waiting at the bar for 20m from 1:25am to be served, my friends left during this time as it didn't seem worth it to them. Yet the staff only seemed to be serving one side of the bar. It seems like there's a lot of staff but no one ever there to serve drinks.

1.40pm 17.10.19 less than one star, the lady behind the bar has no idea how to serve or read a bar, would rather stand there chatting with friends, walked out after a long wait, used to be a great place, no wonder it's dead during the week days only busy on a weekend as people don't know any better, hope it gets better and this woman gets the training she clearly needs

Did not try food as only popped in for a beer or two. Will return at lunch time soon and try food. Not from area and only visit Dartford a few times monthly.

Me to barmaid: gin and slimline tonic please? Barmaid takes money goes off to get my drink- returns and says sorry run out of tonic - so I said no problem I’ll have half a lager Barmaid says - can’t you have lemonade? I say - no thanks I don’t like lemonade I’ll have half a lager Barmaid says : what about coke ? I say - no I don’t like coke with gin I’ll have half a lager Barmaid huffs and calls over manager to work out the change now that I’m being totally unreasonable 😂 I’m drinking this lager and getting the hell out of here 4 barmaids and 5 other customers- I wonder why it’s such a dump of a pub 😂😂🤪

Really nice Pub. Came here a couple of weeks ago with some of my clients who I support and we were made to feel so welcome! Prompt service , friendly staff! Would definitely come back again!

The place is set up as a party hub for nighttimes. It is uninviting during the day. Staff are polite but bored. Food ok but the atmosphere was stale. Toilets were dirty - like they haven't been cleaned since the night before. If you are drunk then this might be the place for you - but - this is one to avoid if you are sober.

Nice pub/ club free entry price of drinks reasonable open till 2am friday and sat night .

Popped in here for a bite to eat before the night started! The food that came out was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had.... over cooked and under cooked it! Didn’t get any of it right. Then I thought I’d stay for a couple of pints to try and wash it down! All the drinks are over priced and I think they water it down or something. I for sure won’t be going back there!

i just witnessed an event today as i was standing at the bar at about 2:45 am the bouncers had decided it was time to go (even though the event was advertised till 3 am) and a bouncer was commandeering a patrons half full drink his friend drunk and confused by the time difference said "hold up " grabs the drink from the bouncer " i thought you was open till 3 " the friend getting rather irate but not violent, unfortunately the bouncers had no such filter grabbed the young man by the hair punched him kneed him and the poor fellow was then thrown into a table the drinker obviously dumbfounded by the actions taking place tried to grab his friend out of the pommeling but instead received a hand round his throat and both thrown to the curb. i myself was barged out the place none of the bar staff took any notice and for that i urge nobody visit the establishment it is a shame as previous years we (my party and i) have had wonderful evenings there but then again what can one expect from a bouncer

Top quality service great food and a very helpful a d dedicated manager named Liam ( who was work from dawn until dusk to keep the place running.

Me he quejado, pero el personal del bar era de lo contrario involucrado en sus asuntos personales. También me gustaría destacar que había muchos peligros presentes fue utilizada como un extintor de incendios como una parada de puerta para la cocina, manteles en el suelo y la falta de higiene. Como un pub que se establece como un lugar que acoge y atiende a todos, realmente no está a la altura de esos estándares.

puzzled by the bad reviews, we had lunch today which was pasta with bacon and mushrooms generous portion which was very nice and Caesar salad also nice and well presented together with 2 drinks of lime and soda very reasonable at £9-80 the pub was pretty quiet but music in background. Will return when in the area.

Went in for a drink now and again got along with some familiar faces...everything was ok part from the not very professional and slightly rude mannered staff and the fact that on a certain night one teenage member of staff started randomely lieing about something i have said to her ( even though i could hardly hear her myself through the carioke " then later i had one manager pull me to the side about some random thing i had nothing to do with...and later that night confronted the managment of the lies i have overheard had no comment back then before the pub shut at 1 30 in the morning i was rudely interupted by a member of security who told me to talk to him outside and said to me that he recieved a number of complaints and i am barred from the pub ...well its a nice pub not too badly furnished, they pour pints worse then when i first started working at clubs myself..and are getting a zero for customer service and god knows what for randomely throwing customers out for no reason ..the security there are blind as hell as well would advise customers to leave it and go to the pub next door called the paper moon ..they aint so bad over there

Went here before seeing a show at the theatre but wasn't impressed. There was live singing which was very good but extremely loud! My hubby and myself ordered food, he ordered pizza which looked fine when it came to the table but was cold. I ordered a burger with cheese, but was served a burger without cheese. When this was mentioned to a waitress I was brought a plate of grated cheese, not really what I expected for a cheese-burger. The cook came out and asked my hubby if the food was ok, when he mentioned his pizza could have been hotter she just scrurried away without a word, but later came out with another plate of food and gave my husband a sideways look! I didn't want to say anything but my husband mentioned it to one of the bar staff and we were both given a free drink. If we have had problems with food before it has normally been sorted out straight away, we dont expect to be given daggers for being served cold food! Needless to say we wont be returning, which is the pubs loss as we see alot of shows in the area!

I may not be the target customer for this Pub, it was so loud that it was impossible to have any kind of conversation. I am sure if you are under 25 this is the best place in Dartford. Just not the place for middle aged traveller like myself.

Food was nice been taken over by a nice young lady been done up and is nice to sit out front on a hot day with a cold pint

The experience here 8 times out of 10 can be good, the outdoor area serves burgers at night, which I found to be a brilliant idea.
